As you enter the shack, your eyes are immediately drawn to the large board on the wall. Pictures are tacked to the cork, pieces of dark purple string taped across them in a spiderweb of thought. As you lean in to get a closer look at one of the pictures you hear an angry snort from behind you, the sound so loud and aggressive it fills the whole room.

Spinning around you see a Hipottu glaring at you, body hunched and feet planted firmly against the ground as their tail cracks loudly through the air. Behind them floats quite a large collection of dark matter, which all peer at you with wide, unblinking eyes from around the form of their protector.

"What do you want?" demands the Hipottu, sharp suspicion clear in their tone. "Come to harass my dark matter, have you?" they accuse, wings half unfurling in clear warning. Shaking your head seems to have no effect in soothing their temper. "I know how it is. Everyone thinks it's so funny to bite and stomp and crush them, but I'll be having none of that on my watch. This here is a sanctuary, where dark matter can come to be safe and protected."

Before you can even open your mouth to explain they start stomping towards you, picking up speed as they go. Wisely you scramble for the door, flinging it open and rushing outside. Luckily they do not pursue you, coming to a stop in the open doorway as they give their head a haughty toss.

"And stay out!" They glower in your direction a moment more then turn, voice softening as they gentle nudge the dark matter that had followed them back inside. "Now now, don't you worry. No one's gonna hurt you here," you hear them say before the door slams shut behind them.
