~Coming Soon~

It wasn't every day you could visit a land where you could meet live penguins, carry on a polite conversation with the different animals, and see a race of carousel horses whom had bounded away from their place among the merry-go-round. Then again, this wasn't a normal place, you could only get here by jumping through chalk pictures. That is exactly how holidays started in this place.
This place was able to make any one person smile and laugh, forgetting the troubles from which they escaped. Not many were sure how they found this land but those who did called it Jolly. Within this land of Jolly was a bright little bridge that led its way towards a hilltop farm where you could talk and sing with the cows and the sheep. When you were ready for some excitement the quaint faire was always waiting, the carousel horses gleaming in the sunlight.

Oh yes, That's what this story is about in fact!
A carousel horse by the name of Sweep. Oh, but he wasn't always known as Sweep, it wasn't until much later in his life did he come by that name... I believe now would be the correct time to tell you a bit about the history of our friend Sweep here and how exactly this carousel horse became a chimney sweep.

Oh? A horse can't be a chimney sweep? You don't say...
Well, You're not the first to tell our friend that. However, he is quite the stubborn old fellow, and even though his story might be unexpected to you this tale does take place in a land of make believe, anything can happen with a bit of magic.

You see, years ago he had met a girl; a wonderfully practical girl by the name of Mary. She was practically perfect in every way. She found the elements of fun in each job that had to be done, told the animals that a spoonful of sugar really does help the medicine go down, and taught the others how to be very sensible. There could be no nonsense in the land of Jolly, oh no. Mary would not have it.

As Mary grew she began to bring along a small homeless boy who was quite dirty-too dirty to be riding any carousel horse. Especially one from the land of Jolly. Oh no, That small dirty boy was not riding these horses. But, something happened. From atop her perch on the lead horse Jingles, Mary turned to the others and simply stated the rules.

"This is Bert, and I expect you all allow him to accompany us to the races, he says he can race as well as any of us so we shall just have to see.". That was that. Mary you see was rather important to those who lived in Jolly and whatever she said was usually taken very seriously. So the dirty boy and the properly dressed girl began discussing the importance of horse racing. It seems that the boy had never heard of a carousel horse race, Which was quite absurd-everyone knew that carousel horses raced. And grand races they were. The whole land would make its way to the tracks, watching as each of the horses would bound about faster and faster until one made it's way across the finish line.

work in progress....

Up where the smoke is all billered and curled
'Tween pavement and stars is the chimney sweep world

When the's 'ardly no day
Nor 'ardly no night
There's things 'alf in shadow
And 'alf way in light...
