Darling

Hello! I'm Darling, but you can call me Sayle or whatever other name you know me by. I'm one of the staff artists here, and I enjoy drawing for the site and working on my pets.
I love books (Nabokov and Murakami), art, music (classical and indie), good drinks (tea, bubble tea, coffee and beer, mmm), travelling and public transportation. I'm a writer, artist, (occasional) lucid dreamer, (former) violist, pedant, Sinophile, animal-lover, tree-hugger and (perhaps hypocritically) a raging consumer whore. I'm also a huge nerd who would stay in the protective bubble of academia forever if "professional student" were an actual job (assuming I'd have the motivation). Feel free to talk to me; I'm probably more afraid of you than you are of me. ;)

Details
- I'm willing to draw any animal or object, but I'm not very good at mecha or human art.
- Please have your references ready for me shortly after claiming a slot. Images are great but I can work with text descriptions!
- I use paypal. I'm happy to provide an invoice if you'd like documentation of the transaction, but I will adjust the price to reflect the paypal fees. Otherwise, please select the "personal" and "gift" tabs to prevent me from being charged extra fees.
- If you're paying in sp or CSC, please offer on a junk trade when I begin your request. I will accept the trade when I have gotten past the sketch stage.
- I'm happy to show you progress at any point in the process (though I generally finish small art without any progress shots; please let me know if you'd rather I pause at the sketch stage). I'm happy to edit my art at the sketch stage and make tweaks once I'm finished, but please be reasonable! I will not redraw something because you were unclear about what you wanted (oh I've decided I want my character standing even though I'd told you I wanted him sitting and you've already finished), but please let me know if I've made a mistake (you forgot the markings he had in his reference)! I'm always willing to make changes if I genuinely overlooked something!
