An ancient snake-like demon who can absorb and sometimes utilize a person's ability or life-force.He must be in his monstrous true form to do this, but he is able assume a human shape as well. While in his human form, his features shift slightly to match the physical traits that his victim finds most attractive, though they often remain instinctively cautious.

Centuries ago, he stole the voice of a siren, now mockingly called "Whisper", forcing him out of his home. Although he stole his power, Vida could not successfully recreate Whisper's natural charm or his ability to pacify people. As a bargain, he proposed that instead the boy act as his lure, promising the return of his voice when he no longer "needed him".
The two have traveled together ever since.
