toby vargas. female. twenty six. american. toby looks like she has been through hell - and that's probably because she has. when the world starts to fall to ruins around you, things tend to get a little messy. despite it all, she does her best to stay strong. along with a masculine name, she is rather tomboyish, and makes sure those she encounters know she doesn't fuck around. the metal arm helps.

she earned her nickname, renegade, through rather unfortunate circumstances; toby refuses to speak of the incident, as she is still attempting to process the grief. she was involved with a rather large group of survivors, many of whom became something of a family to her. but they're gone now. all of them. it doesn't matter now, it's every man for himself is the only sentiment asking of her past brings up.

she was part of a rescue team. things happened. bad things. they weren't her fault. she took the opportunity to run. what else is there to do when your closest friend falls to the walkers, and then half of your numbers? staying would be death. returning would be exile. so she became a deserter, assumed dead.

due to high amounts of radiation where she originated from, she has a weakened immune system. she is prone to headaches, insomnia, and nose bleeds. she will become overwhelmingly nauseous at times and will have to hide out until this passes; it is far too dangerous otherwise, as she could easily be mistaken for a walker herself. despite her health, she is an adequate fighter and specializes in blunt melee weapons.

while her health may make her appear somewhat frail, she is not weak or pitiful. she has a bossy and bratty attitude, and is somewhat tomboyish and masculine. toby actually has a lot of fears and uncertainties about her survival, but she would never admit it. she does not trust others easily, and she intends to survive the apocalypse alone.
