In Their Own Words: For all you Miyazaki fans out there :'D Chihiro, from the film, "Spirited Away," is probably one of the most prominent Miyazaki characters since 2001.

If any of you have seen the movie, the setting takes place in a Japanese bathhouse where Chihiro, renamed to "Sen," undergoes numerous adventures / events in an effort to save her parents from an unheard of curse that turns them into swines.
Chihiro meets Haku, her best friend and inspiration for getting her parents back. Haku, being the Kohaku River spirit, comes in a dragon form and is very valuable, therefore being Yubaba's (bathhouse overlord) apprentice.

The first ever Miyazaki film I've seen was "Kiki's Delivery Service", wonderful btw, but when I saw this masterpiece, I was completely in awe the whole time. The storyline is INGENIOUS! O 3 O Miyazaki's especially known for his fantasy-like films that just... capture you the whole time; and literally take you to a whole new place. And at the end of the movie, it makes you want to cry of happiness or something, because I've found myself sitting on the couch after the movies just sadly pondering what just happened ; A ;.. questions are beautifully left unanswered. Yes, beautifully. And the outstanding graphics fit perfectly with the music, composed by Joe Hisaishi. (I recommend listening to some of his soundtracks if you haven't already).

I've been drawing ever since kindergarten, and this movie is really sentimental to me because it totally changed my mind in the 3rd grade about becoming a doctor. xD THIS is the movie that's what made him so inspiring to me. He's the main reason why I want to become an illustrator for films by PiXAR.
I'll always keep Miyazaki in my heart ; u ; ♥️

Ultimately, the overall movie is amAZINGG. 8D! I strongly recommend it to ANYBODY and EVERYBODY.

In Their Own Words: Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a show that ran from 1997-2003 about a girl named Buffy who was chosen (and given the strength and skill to) kill vampires and other demons. Since there's a vampire hunters trunk that references Buffy heavily this is probably all known. :D I used quite a few pieces from the set, but tried to add a little bit more Buffy style to it.

In Their Own Words: Anita Blake is a character in a book series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Anita is portrayed as a small, sassy, intelligent, and strong woman. She lives in a world where Vampires are now legal human beings, Lycanthropy is a disease to pity someone for, zombies are raised for purposes such as settling will disputes, and trolls are common place. As you progress in the series you start out with Anita being a legal vampire executionar. She is also an animator who raises zombies, and part of the police branch of preternatural. She later finds out she is a necromancer. Overtime she falls in love with The Vampire Master of the city and The Alpha Male of the local werewolf pack. She is torn between both men. She becomes the human lupa of the werewold pack. The leader of the were leopard pack, and a protector of legal vampires that practice the law. It is an amazing series.
WARNING: Due to the graphic violence, suggestive nature, and use of graphic language this series is not for the squimesh or the young.

In Their Own Words: This was done after one of my first anime. Sailor Moon was a huge inspiration to me when I was a little girl. Who didn't want to fight crime, get the cute guys and have the perfect ending to it all?

This ties back to my childhood, so this is why I picked it. I know it's not exact, but it's as close as I could get to Serena.

In Their Own Words: I absolutely love “Ouran High School Host Club,” (or, as the spoof name is known on here, “Boron Secondary School Hospitality Association”) and, while trying to make a cosplaying Human Avatar, I kept on coming back to the idea of doing “Hunny” (spoof name “Sugar”). Now…beneath all of this, I am an Eyesore Zombie. I rarely cover up my “zombitude,” so doing this cosplay was very difficult for me. However, after two layers of skin, a creepy mask, and a bank-breaking set of eyes…I finally finished a cosplay that actually worked, and that I was proud of. I know it’s not perfect…but, hey, I like it, and it’s worth a shot to put this up into the contest/gallery.
