In Their Own Words: This is the eccentric Eleventh Doctor. I find him to be an interesting character who is caring toward his friends--if not a bit flighty as a great traveler. He is just in meting out punishment to those who do wrong, like the Daleks in Churchill's Blitz London, for instance. He's fed up with dealing with various races of space people, and has little patience for foolery. Yet he has a great deal of paternal affection for his young companions, Amy Pond and her fiance Rory.
