Throughout his incarnations, Shockwave is usually distinguished by a laser cannon in lieu of one of his hands and his distinctive face, which is featureless save a single robotic eye.
As the Decepticons' military operations commander, Shockwave's power is second only to Megatron's Army, and even that is disputed. His actions are carried out with the cold, brutal clarity and perfection one would expect of a purely mechanical being — his way is not that of blood lust, like so many other Decepticons, but rather that of a scientist attempting to solve a problem. And that problem is: how can he use his abilities to most effectively eliminate the greatest number of enemies? Unfortunately for the Autobots, it is rare that Shockwave does not find an answer.
Unlike most early Transformers Shockwave was not modified into an Earthly form, and retains his Cybertron alternate mode — a 35-foot-long ray gun. He possesses the power of flight in both modes, and commands the totality of the electromagnetic spectrum allowing him to emit beams of energy in a wide variety of forms. His high energy output makes him particularly fuel inefficient, but radioactive fuel sources stored in the reactor in his chest can help Shockwave to overcome this problem. Although his logical brain center is usually an advantage, human adversaries often pose more of a difficulty to Shockwave, as more intuitive and emotional thought processes often confound him.
While the animated series established Shockwave as fanatically loyal to Megatron, Shockwave's original bio and most fiction since have described him as coldly and patiently looking for ways to overthrow Megatron, not for personal power (as Starscream would) but simply because it was logical for him to do so. Shockwave concluded that he should rule so that no emotion should prevent the Decepticons from conquering the universe. This was retained in most comic books, where Shockwave became leader of the Decepticons.

In Their Own Words: Typhoid Mary (real name Mary Walker) is one of Marvel Comic's most complex but lesser known characters. As a mentally unstable mutant, Mary often finds herself in the position of anti-hero or villain. Her powers include telekinesis and pyrokenesis, in addition to highly developed martial art skillZ. Unfortunately, Mary's powers mostly lead to horrible consequences due to her Multiple Personality Disorder. Because of Mary's multiple personalities, she has had about as many careers as a Barbie© doll. These include prostitute, serial killer, soap opera actress, vigilante, secret agent, and of course, paid assassin. Her main love (er... lust) interests are Daredevil and Deadpool. However, those are quite rocky relationships for obvious reasons. (Including the rape of Deadpool, and repeated attempted murder of Daredevil.) When she's not under the influence of her other personalities, she is quite a nice woman who enjoys reading books, long walks on the beach, and contacting mental health specialists.

In Their Own Words: One part brave, three parts fool. I am cosplaying as Eragon from the book and movie of the same name. A farm boy who was thrown into a world of adventure, magic, fate, and myth all because of a single egg. he and his dragon Saphira (represented by the wearable based off of her) must fight to save Alagaesia from the evil tyrant Galbatorix.

In Their Own Words: I am cosplaying the ever popular Metres Cornervalue of Falcon Wrong fame. There are many fans of Cornervalue, and many cosplays already, which is why I chose to cosplay him a little differently, without his suit jacket (also because I couldn't find one that opens up! Grrr.) I bought only the most expensive frilly cravat because this is Cornervalue we're talking about! I hope you all enjoy my cosplay of Metres!

In Their Own Words: Superjail is one of my favorite modern, televised programs. There's not much to be said except that my favorite character is The Warden, who has a sparkling personality and a rotted brain. Just like me! GRAAAGH!

In Their Own Words: Mitsurugi Reiji (Miles Edgeworth) from Phoenix Wright, with his dog, Pess (http://www.court-records.net/chara-edgeworth.htm-Pess is mentioned here). Edgeworth is well-known throughout the series as Phoenix's rival, as well as being very elegant and refined. The serene background was chosen for that reason.
