I took the "Only two boards" rule off the RP boards, for the time being.
I can understand where the people who complained about it are coming from. "Anthro Mountain" and "Antrho Cafe" are two settings, and when they are both created that limits the board to those two.

Not really saying that I HAVE modded that forum all along, but it's been a couple of months before I've seen another staff member lock a duplicate topic in there, I did afterall rewrite the rules once all our accounts were unfrozen.

The rules actually said there was a limit of (two or five?) boards for the same topic, and that VARIATIONS of the topic weren't included in that total. So different settings were supposed to be somewhat immune. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_whatthe.gif border=0>;

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that.. but it's seemed to have always been a rule. and I've had a couple of people IM me complaining about it in the past.. actually over other people 'copying' their roleplays. >> It's really crazy, especially when they're talking about genetics roleplay or whatever.

I think that that rule probably ought to be replaced with a guideline suggesting that it's better for people to join an existing board than create their own, especially if the existing board is fairly new, and discouraging people from making a bajillion of the same RP ? the set-in-stone only-two-boards rule always seemed a tad tyrannical to me. If more than two boards do look tremendously similar in theme, plot, amount of posts and skill level, I think something probably ought to be done, though.
