New Detailed Battle Guide

Battle Love Sticker

Have you ever wondered how you can train your pets outside of the Training Center? Have you wished you could have a nice table to show you the minimum to maximum for each tier level for your pet?

All of these questions can be answered with this new In-depth Guide to Battling! This guide covers a number of frequently asked questions such as where you can find places like the healer, how to increase your pet rank, how to use a scroll, and more! There is even a visual step-by-step guide to battling and a tier chart included.

This is not to be confused with the beginner guide to battling released during our Anniversary.

@Amber I just noticed some of the wording was rather close, and even with fan work that's not cool w/out permission. Glad to hear.

This is so helpful! Thank you, staff (and contributing battlers!) for putting this together. It's pretty exciting to finally know what the hell speed is used for.

Amber

@Tribunal - METROID actually helped a lot with this guide, along with the battle community. :)

StarShadow

I didn't realize the highest pet tier is 12. Half my pets are already at tier 11 and can't defeat many of the top opponents, including Night Lady (if she ever reappears again). Will have to look at this more later. Thanks!

Tribunal

Man, I hope you guys asked METROID/Gypsy before pushing this......

Can you put the guides under one link called "Guides" please. They are taking up too much space.

Blanche

I haven't read it fully just yet, but this makes me happy! I know we have user guides in the forums, but I hoped to see a guide just like this as an official page c: It is such a great thing, thank you ♥️

This is great, thanks! :)
Very excited about this, as I've decided to focus more/a lot! on battling and training etc this year. :)

lovecraft

Thank you for this. Still confused, but helpful. Other then typing in the address for the healer I never figured out where she was located...that was super helpful. LOL
0

Austria

Neat. Looks super helpful. I'm still going to be lazy and cheap and not train my pet. XD

Let's get some new battlers for 2015. :D Great guide!
0

Hoshi

SO pleased to see this up. I found several aspects of battling pretty confusing when I was first venturing into the world of Subetan buttkicking. Kudos, staff!
0

Wolfmyth

@Aeon

Thank you! I read that as 22k for each stat, and I was really confused. All clear now
0

Galaxy

*train = raise (Realized I used the wrong word there.)
0

Galaxy

Wolfmyth, as it states, it is 22k total stats. It doesn't matter if you have 21,500 in Health, 500 in strength, 500 in defense, and 500 in speed... (Just an example... I don't think that would be a very effective build. LOL) Once you reach 22,000 in total (i.e. the sum when you add up health, defense, strength, speed), you will not be able to train any of your stats expect Level and Intel.
0

Wolfmyth

The stat cap is a “roof” on your pet’s growth. As of Dec 2014, the stat cap is 22k total stats. Only Strength, Defense, Speed, and Health count. Level and Intelligence do not. Once your pet is capped, you can no longer train at the gym. You’ll only be able to boost Level and Intel.

So does this mean, that once my pet reaches say, 22k in strength (and he is a long way off) I can no longer train or use boosters to raise his strength?
0

MikiDaCrow

An addition to the 'how to get stats without training' would be that using the Zapper 2 (boosts and drops) and collecting your pet's income via jobs can also get you random stat boosts

Ferinsy

Super awesome (:
About the menu at the top of the page, could it be reduced to:
Beginner Guide | In-depth Guide
?
I mean... It looks really long. If you're in the coliseum page, it's kinda obvious the guides are to battling xD

0

Lia

Awesome, thank you!
0

ulalena

Wow, thank you so much!
0

Andrew

And in case it hasnt been brought up, you made a typo in the tiers table for t11. it should be 8,000-11,999 instead of 8,000-11,000. :)
0

Satyr

always happy to see the site making battling friendlier for newcomers :)
0

Magpie_816

You're missing an min/max average stat for the tier list, much easier to quickly spot where you are in the tier then having to add all the stats together for each pet.
0

KarenP

This is so awesome!! thank you!!
0

Evanesce

This is pretty awesome. Thanks for creating this resource page!
0

Amber

Will add those soon, MrCool!
0

janine

I don't know about anyone else but this is encouraging me to consider battling.
0

MrCool

Actually, I do have a few acronyms that I feel could be added to the dictionary:

AoN = Amulet of Neutrality
DGR = Dark Goddess Rod
RIWoD = Reborn Icewand of Doom
RotL = Reviver of the Lion
Sanct = Sancturia Exodin Scroll
TF = Terra Focujin Scroll
Trident = Trident of the Banished One/Blessed Trident of the Banished One

BoneCollector
