No more staff stuff. (including keith stuff)
#1 - it makes us seem 100% full of ourselves.
#2 - staff tend to leave. and in that case, we have a bunch of items that make them special on teh site, when they don't do anything (or left/got fired, becuase they never did anything)

Thank you, Mogel. Oddly, I meant to post something similar to this before. I love the trading cards especially; much like real sports cards they're a history of all of the major "players" here. I collect Staff items, as do a good number of the people that I know; I've even had people ask me when the next pickled Staffie is coming out because they collect them. (Although I think that some of them really just want to feed some of us to their pets... <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif border=0> ).

I agree with both sides on this issue, I believe we should tone down the staff items, so we can get other items out on the site. But i do not believe it makes us look full of ourselves. The site is ran by us. So it would only make sense to have things that have our names or our personal affectations. This is our home. And theirs. I would put it to the users and see what THEY think before i would stop though. I agree i think everyone likes these things.

<br>Oh and about the staff leaving and or getting fired and or going away. This happens. But when you have these items its almost like a history book. Think about it this way. They can think back to when this person or that person was a staff member. History is good for a petsite to have.

Oddly, for some reason I didn't put Falc's name on the custom that I got for him, but I did put Stijn's on his. I think that it was actually because Falc already had a quill with his name on and there was a regular pokey stick, though. I like Falc items (and Stijn as well <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0> ); I collect them, as well as Staff items in general (and Evil's otems). I think that madhatter would be extremely disappointed if there were no more Keith items.

I'd honestly hate to lose staff items. I can understand toning it down a bit, but it helps boost staff morale (which is important) and a lot of users honestly do enjoy them and hoard them.

Maybe you've heard more about it than any of us have Keith, but in all honesty I dont think the users mined staff items o.o I've only seen people say how much they love them. Some of them have galleries dedicated entirely to the staff memebers, or certain ones, or you. But if the privilage is taken away.. i'd really like to see all the current staff get plushies (and anyone else that joins. sense it wouldnt be very fair to them.) And like deb suggested, we could just retire the item if the quit, just like the retired. xD We work for no real money and at least almost never complain about things, I think all of us are entilted to at least one speical item on the site.

I almost forgot, I was also supposed to be pickled (I was the Dark Matter Staffie <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif border=0> and was going to be holding my little dog), but those are Trivia prizes; I really don't think that anyone minds those. I also would like to protest if this includes the Staff plushies. I requested mine many months ago (and several times thereafter) and to date to my knowledge I don't think that anyone has drawn it. (There were two different artists who were going to, but they both quit.) Also, when I inquired about my trading card (before the restart), I was told that I had to wait until the new trading card trophies were released... but they never were, but at least six-eight staff members have had cards added since then. And I recently (within the past few weeks) had asked about it again, and was actually told that it would be added this time, but it wasn't. (It was supposed to be going to be either a light bluish one like Bob's or the purplish one. I would have actually liked a pink one, but we don't seem to have those <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif border=0> ).
<br>We could retire the items if someone leaves, or replace them with other items in special cases (like the avanteguard mug).

What about like Plushies? Because, its really not fair that some staff have plushies and others don't. For example, I have my own plushie, and I do very little work (hate to admit it but its true) and Sooki works her tail end off and doesn't have one.
