Do you think that we should do away with donation items, and adopt something similar to what Gaia does, where they are only 2.50, and the items change monthly?
We wouldn't do it exactly like gaia (there would be no june 2005 letter, july 2005 letter, etc. There'd be one box, that depending on when you open it, is teh item(s) that you get) but it would be similar.
Would you prefer that to the current system? That way we could release rare items, as well as not-so-rare items, and people would still pay for them. And people who can't afford much would be able to get them.

Again on the fence with this. I think donations should stay. BUT i think these other ways should be put in as well allowing something for the people who cant afford alot to get something as well. The raffle though sounds REALLY good. kinda like another sites ricc, but make all the decent items 1 use. and have a really rare random chance for them to get a REALLY good item. -ala 30 dollar donation item-

I think it's a good idea. It would encourage more people to donate if you put up cheaper items. I also agree that you should keep some of the older items and just rotate them or something. Or take them out off of the donations page and put them in the MC...

I would CRY.. if I finally got a credit card because I finally turned 18, but found that I could no longer choose what I was getting in return for my donation(s). What I mean is.. I've been waiting months now to buy a number of Donation Items, and like.. well.. it seems that as soon as I'm finally able to do so.. I.. won't be able to do so? xD

I don't think we should do away with our current donation stuff. Like DebiLee said, we ought to retire them after they've been up a certain amount of time.

I think we should do it. Or at least add this feature anyway if we don't do away with the donation items entirely. Some people just can't afford the $10-$30 dollar items there - and I'll be the first to admit that cheaper things would give me a greater chance for being allowed to donate (even if it would only be $2.50), which would make me happy.

No, meggies. I meant they would buy a [Boxed Gift] (example name) and say, if they open it during this month, they would get one of two items that were specifically for this month. If they opened it next month, they would get one of two items specifically made for that month.

I don't think that the Donation Items should be done away with; that's the only way that some people can get the potions that they want. Maybe occasionally retire Donation Items that have been there forever? (Example: Scaraph). Adding a lower priced range would be very nice for the younger players and those who can't afford to spend much; this sounds like fun! <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0>

What you're talking about is more like a raffle, which I suggested before and still think is a good idea. 1 or 2 dollar raffle tickets to try to win a $30 item (weekly raffle, or one every month), people can buy more than one ticket (or 6 for $10, etc.) We should have the donations page as it is now, AND have a 'cheap items' section with one option being a 'surprise box' that has at least decent stuff, but maybe something rare.

Would they know what item(s) they were going to be getting for their money? If so I think people would enjoy that, but if they didnt know what they were getting and weren't donating soleing to help subeta, some people might not want to.
