Learn to Bake
Are you prepared to become a baking champion? Or perhaps just learn enough to not burn everything you touch? Come visit me at my new bakery in Veta Lake, which will be open year-round, to learn how different cookies, pies, loaves of bread, and cakes!
As you cook more things and earn more experience, your level in baking will go up. As you level up, more recipes will be unlocked for you, meaning they will no longer show up greyed out on the front page! Once you get more experienced, when you go back to cook easier recipes, you’ll have a much higher success rate. After all, we know how hard baking a new thing can be, so don’t be surprised if you end up burning a thing or two!
I’ve prepared a lovely baking starter kit for everyone. I’ll make sure to give you one when you visit me for the first time!

Just so you know, burning has nothing to do with the timing of each baked good! Burning is tied to your skill level, not how long it takes you to grab a baked good from the oven. ;)

This is so cute! But disappointed that its going to take a few weeks (maybe a month) for prices to drop to a decent sP amount for the first recipe. ;n;

I was all excited and then when I went to search out prices... T__T inflation to the max. I'm not going to risk burning up 5 mil worth of ingredients rn.

@Wolf_Spirit You don't have to ping me for something like this, I'm keeping an eye on how many of the cookies are going out / how often people are burning and adjusting the chances accordingly. :)
@Amber any chance of upping the success rate a lot more? So many users aren't able to make anything, including myself. It's the most frustrating, angering thing on site when it's nothing but burn, burn, burn. 5 times and not one successful bake. I'm so frustrated I don't want to have anything to do with the feature because of this.
LOL I wish I would have opened my baker's starter kit BEFORE I bought the ingredients for the Maple Leaf Cookies...... facepalm

And everything's ridiculously expensive, this is why we can't have nice things. Passing on this event.

IDK man. I have the items but it keeps telling me I don't have them. I'll wait for the "Baking for Dummies" instruction thread.
I'd love to use the DC but I have a feeling I'll be greeted more by that horrible error monster and end up with nothing each time I try. I'm terrified of that thing.
Please tell Fantine that I bake much better than this in real life. I've nmever burned three batches of cookies in a row. Time to give it a rest.
OK so guess I'm going to give up on this project for a while. Items too expensive to buy and the ones I need hardly ever show up in the DC, cookies keep burning and the constant error pages make it frustrating not fun. Maybe check it again next week or so.

@MarissaUnderground Timing has nothing to do with burning, so don’t feel that you can’t walk away for a bit while your things bake! You could bake cookies tonight and go to bed and grab them tomorrow and it won’t mean they burnt because of the time that passed, it’s more a matter of skill level. :)

O M G This is the best thing to log into. I hope you remember way back when when I showed you Attarsome! I can't wait to make and stuff all these things in the TC ahh.
Just one question though: the Baking Starter Kit that you get... Is there any way to purchase another? Can it be made to restock or something? Because I don't want to use this up when it could go in the TC. :c

Wow, it took forever to get the last item I needed with the lag, it being the only one not showing up in the DC and the contact error pages. Getting tired of Error 502s and almost time to start quests.
My kingdom for reasonably-priced Baking Powder, or for some in the Donation Corner...I absolutely adore this, though!

@Mayonaka Once people get on different levels and the “newness” of this wears off, I’m sure the prices will go back down some. :) Right now they stock via user shops (their rarity was lowered, so they’ll restock a little more), you can vend them, and we’ve added some to the donation center.
Is there going to be some way to buy the ingredients, apart from random stock luck and user shops? This stuff's already getting pretty expensive, and it's only going to get worse. Personally I think questing for the items would be fabulous, but I can understand if you guys don't want to add new ways to get these items simply because it might cause overstocking.
