Learn to Bake
Are you prepared to become a baking champion? Or perhaps just learn enough to not burn everything you touch? Come visit me at my new bakery in Veta Lake, which will be open year-round, to learn how different cookies, pies, loaves of bread, and cakes!
As you cook more things and earn more experience, your level in baking will go up. As you level up, more recipes will be unlocked for you, meaning they will no longer show up greyed out on the front page! Once you get more experienced, when you go back to cook easier recipes, you’ll have a much higher success rate. After all, we know how hard baking a new thing can be, so don’t be surprised if you end up burning a thing or two!
I’ve prepared a lovely baking starter kit for everyone. I’ll make sure to give you one when you visit me for the first time!

Just so you know, burning has nothing to do with the timing of each baked good! Burning is tied to your skill level, not how long it takes you to grab a baked good from the oven. ;)

I opened the starter kit, so now what? How do I actually bake? Nothing shows up when I go to Fantine's bakery, so is there another way?
AAAH, I usually don't leave news comments but this is so good for me >.< I love baking and new foods to help my pet get to gourmand is awesome!
Wow, some of the ingredients are already unbuyable and others selling for millions or CSC. Guess I'll wait a week or 2 before trying this again.

And check the DC, Liz donated a ton of ingredients to it. I was able to nab butter and baking powder that way!

great idea...but...i went out on a limb and got an expensive item and then found out no shop has the stick of butter. :( i should've done my homework first lol. others are just too expensive. i'll wait and see if the prices come down
So I guess we don't get a notice when the cookies are done, like the clothing in the floating market shop? Huh?

Oops, haha! Nah, I didn't refresh, I wanted to go see if I could make something else but the event was still at the top of the page that my cookies were done... I kind of assumed that I could only make one thing at a time so I was trying to get the notification to clear and it kept giving me stuff .-.
Should I go ahead and delete the extras then?

@Cathii This should be fixed now!
@Ferinsy Prices will go down eventually. :) A lot of the things that are used in multiple recipes are things you can choose from (eggs, milk, etc). Like I said, most of the things you can restock (minus a few berries from the space tree). We tried to use different items (like chocolates and what not) for each recipe so there isn't too much overlap!

Um... I got 4 of the Burned Cookie and one successful Maple Leaf Cookies... it kept saying they were done and to check them, is it supposed to be like that...? I fed one of the burned cookies to my food pet, deleted one thinking it was a glitch, and the other two are in my inventory along with the Maple Leaf Cookies...
Was it like a batch of 5 cookies that I made with the ingredients and only one didn't burn, or...?
Hoping I don't have to file a ticket .-.

I'll stay away from the baking because it costs to much to do and just doesn't make any since sigh
Well, my first item was a success! I'm very curious what's inside the kit, but I put it in Debi's TC. ;)
