Quest-A-Thon: Coming Soon!
Are you ready to quest because we’re having another Quest-A-Thon! Starting at 12:00am on August 20th you will have until 11:59pm on August 27th to complete 1,000,000 quests.
During this time, you will need to complete quests from the following quest givers to have them count: Carl, Cinthia, Mori or Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard. Just a reminder that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and Gold Account users can complete 15 quests.
For those who have brought up Sarah’s quests in the past, we will be updating her quest a bit. More information to come when we start the Quest-A-Thon.
Once the Quest-A-Thon starts, you’ll be able to see everyone’s progress with a status bar on the news page. If the goal is completed, everyone that has participated will receive 1 new pet slot, the forum title “Sir Quest A Lot”, 5 Raffle Tickets, and 1 Referral point!

Time to start thinking of a new pet species and name!! I sooo look forward to quest-a-thon!!! I AM READY :)
I'm excited for another quest-a-thon (especially to see that Sarah's quest is changing), but I really wish there was an alternative prize option for the pet slot.
The other things can at least be saved up and used for future content, but the pet slot is truly not something I will ever use. I'm currently only using 6 of my 13 available slots and it's going to stay that way. Two of those slots were from prizes, one from a loyalty box (I didn't have enough lock slots and was focused on other games at the time so GA felt pointless. Either way my only choice was to essentially "waste" the box). The 6 pets I have is already more than enough to keep me busy. Hell, even focusing on two of them is a huge struggle for me, so if anything I need to start adopting half of them out.
I don't know how much a pet slot would be worth in sp/csc, but these would be some marvelous alternate choices if they're a comparable value:

Last Quest-A-Thon, a lot of people made the suggestion to make all quests "weekend quests" for the entire week of the Quest-A-Thon. Everyone thinks the increased prizes may be a motivating factor for people who need that extra participation push.

No announcements on the site's social media, or newsletter, once again during a busy time (school starting back), with an even larger goal... Looks like we'll have the same slow start as last time. Hope we can make it, good luck everyone.
I hope updated Sarah is able to change her rewards based on user wealth so she can still give bonuses to new users and normalized rewards for wealthier players.

I'm surprised at how many people missed all the hints about another quest for the summer LOL. I've been waiting for this, was wondering what was considered "summer" since my daughters first day of school is on the 25th.

I wasn't expecting one so soon after the last one, but sign me up!
Curious to see what staff has planned with Sarah's quests too.
1m is a lot, but we do have eight days for this one instead of just seven last time (and the extra day is a weekend day, which always has more people on!). We just have to average 125k quests per day (which isn't all that much more than 107k-ish quests per day) - plus, this is August, not June. D:

I fear if I do the math on how many people need to do every quest with a gold account every day...
9 quests (-1 because of sarah), 15 being the number of quests.
(9 x 15) x 7 = 945 quests you can complete in that week
1,000,000 / 945 = 1058
we need 1,058 people to quest daily with a GA or it's equivalent

Ugh, the last two times we hit 80,000. During summer. My school just started in 15th, not sure if we can make it to 1,000,000. But I'll do what I can. Can't deny that sweet sP.

I'll try my best to do all my quests... think I've managed to on all the previous ones. This new amount is really intimidating though... trying to decide if I want to get a 1 week medal... gah.
