Monthly Subscriptions and Gold Account Update
For example, let's say you have a Gold Account which expires in 3 weeks, and no subscription. If you start a monthly subscription, you will get to enjoy having a Gold Account for the entire time your subscription is active, and the GA time left on your account will remain paused at 3 weeks. Then, if you stop having a subscription, it will automatically switch back to using up those 3 weeks of Gold Account you had left before you started the subscription.
This update will take effect immediately for all new subscription sign-ups. If you have an existing active subscription, this change will take effect on your next billing cycle, since you have already received the 1-month GA time as a prize for the current cycle. If there are further questions or concerns, please feel free to ask in the comments, and we'll do our best to assist! An FAQ for the subscriptions page is in the works :)

I was hoping the subscription upgrading would have been included too, but I guess I just have to be patient and wait haha
I wanted to bump mine up to the next plan, but seems I still need to wait for the old plan to expire before I'm able to re-subscribe.
Regardless I'm happy you guys are working on making this smoother for us users. Thanks for the hard work!

Will there ever be a way to change your credit card / number without cancelling your account completely since we're not able to enter our new credit card until the subscription expires? I'm having this problem right now. Seems like quite an ordeal when credit cards get lost/stolen or expire on their own.

@DimDim I mean... I don't know how to respond to this. There was a news post on January 28th announcing that this change would happen on February 8th. Then, on February 8th, it happened just as we said it would. It is still a new update even though there are two news posts about it. I thought people might appreciate the heads up. I really didn't expect that to bother anyone.

This isn't strictly regarding subscriptions, but ever since you guys changed to the more simplified payment page for buying CSC it keeps reverting back to my old payment method after I make a purchase and I can't find an option to delete or update the existing one. It does allow me to use a different payment method but I have to input it all over again every time.

...it took me way, WAY too long to make the connection between the sub sandwich and subscriptions. God, I feel stupid.

By the way, a heads up - when a subscription expires, there might be a small gap of time (of up to a few hours) before the GA time kicks in. This gap isn't intentional on our part, and I'm not sure to what extent this will happen, so I'm going to keep an eye on it and make further changes as needed. Please feel free to let us know if this happens to you.

@VITALY Oh no - It looks like your subscription data was glitched. I've gone ahead and fixed it, so cancelling should be working for you now. If you run into further problems with the subscription not working correctly, please file a ticket for more assistance. Thank you!
