Subeta Anniversary!
A year ago we were building a different Subeta somewhere else. Project Kumos was a full rewrite, and after a long run at it we stopped. It was eating every hour we had and handing back a site that wasn't better than the one you were already logging into. So we came back to this codebase, the old one, and it's been a much better time 💗.
This site is 22 because people keep showing up for it: reporting the broken thing, arguing about balance, welcoming somebody who just made an account, running contests, and creating stunning pet profiles.
‼️ This year's anniversary item can't be claimed. Somebody has to give it to you.
Every day this week you get five Celebratory Sprinkle Seeds to hand out at the Gardens.
There are two ways to spend your five. Type in a username, or serve the looking for a seed line: click once and the site picks who it goes to. The person who gets it sees your name. You don't find out who you helped (but maybe they'll post on the forums or leave a comment thanking you).
If you're the one waiting, join the line. Emma sweeps it for anyone who's been there more than four hours, so nobody sits all day. You can take five seeds a day, and one person can only give you one.
The giving runs for a week. After that the seeds stop going out and whatever's planted still grows.

I've noticed it on several different pages - quests, and games mostly if I remember right. I use microsoft edge and windows 10).

Is there some way to see the seeds we've gifted? Is there a confirmation that I'm missing? When I type a username and gift a seed, I'm not sure if it's going through. The count doesn't always seem to register.
Happy Anniversary 22nd Subeta!!!! 🤗 I have been here 20 of those years and it's so awesome this site is still going strong. My most favorite memory is being involved in the Bad Omen plot. So much fun and gained so many new friends. I remember how excited I was to get home from work and pop on here to see what was next to do! Thank you for creating such a fun, safe and happy place to be. ❤️
question about the seeds - can you still plant them after this week or can they only be planted during this week? thanks :) (i saw you said ones planted will continue to grow)

I've had my inactive spells on this site but it will always be a part of me and I'll never leave for good. So glad I've been around for 20 of those 22 years and here's to 22+ more years of the best website on the net!!

Happy Anniversary Subeta! <3 I bawled my eyes out yesterday thinking how much Oreo would have loved this. The people on this site make it truly amazing! <3 Of my fave memories, one is of the Peka Glade music fest. I was a member of Cerv!dae and had so much fun doing art and promoting the band. It was one of the reasons I started doing more art and was so inspirational. That will always be so special to me!

I love all the lovely people on here and all the seasonal events. It's great escapism for me and chasing achievements keeps me busy. :) Subeta has helped me through some tough times in my life. :heart:

I've had so much fun with Subeta over the years. You always keep it fresh with new plots, or new things to do (such as the wardrobe contests and gardens). Thank you so much Keith, Amber, and the rest of the staff.

From playing in my teenage years to coming back these past years, there are so many memories. After some heavy life events, Subeta has been the best social rehabilitation for me, a place where you can participate no matter how much you do, from not being able to form proper sentences to being able to join in events more and more, feed minions and gardening. Love the people here!! <3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUBETA. It's incredible everything's still here. I've been here for more than half of my life and that's crazy?? I feel like I've changed so much but it still gives me comfort to login and check for blackheart hollow items, lurk the forums and buy my daily hustler item. And now, I've been using the new Gardens almost daily because it's such a fun and relaxing feature, so very happy to see more of it.
I have plenty of memories, from the Bhakoru plot, to ecks vs skitters (and trying to hide my zombie strain before skins were a thing), Battle of the Bands (that I somehow made it to the finals), cruise around Subeta and pretty new maps, time travel murder mystery plot, the one where everyone turned grey (Subeta did it first), jungle adventure, gay halloween romance, and asking Amber TEAHOUSE WHEN.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so so so much for being part of my life subeta <3

22 years and hopefully so, so many more to come! I am so grateful for Subeta and the beautiful friendships I have made through the site. This site introduced me to Oreo, who in turn introduced me to a beautiful group of amazing friends that I cherish. I never would have met any of them were it not for Subeta. There are so many wonderful things about this site, from the amazing artwork to the room for creativity with our pets to the lovely community. I feel blessed to have this little corner of the internet to hop into each day. Thank you staff for all you do to keep Subeta running and growing. I can't wait for the next 22 years <3
@FaerieQueen that's right. Every day you can give away five seeds to friends or to people on the waiting lists. You can also receive five seeds every day, from friends or from the waiting list. You have to click to join the list, and after you get a seed from there you can get back on. There's a special section linked up top on your garden page to do all of this. Is that helpful?
I don't do a lot of talking here, my sprinkles of ADHD keep me from lurking in the forums much.
In recent history, @Keith 's summary on numbers makes a certain part of my brain itch in a good way and I go back like a wierdo every few months and re-enjoy it <3

I can't believe Subeta is this old but then again, I used to my quests during lunch break at uni and I graduated 15 years ago. And I started playing Subeta 2 months before I started uni in 2008. I have been here for 18!! years

- I met my best friend here
FLUXShe doesn't play anymore. But we were talking about how we both struggled with depression at the time and we went: well fuck it, let's meet? She flew to London from Scotland and I took a Eurostar and we met up irl. Turns out we made the perfect team. We have been irl friends for like 14 years now? We have met up countless times. Twice here in Belgium, a few times in London and most of the time I fly to Scotland because i'm obsessed with the country. - One time we also met up with
Renaissancein London and took pictures with sherlock holmes stuff to send those pics to Hope who couldn't be there with us. - I got so many warm and fun memories to the sp sprint where I met most of my subeta friends. Sadly very few are left on site but the memories are still there.
- Once upon a time I was working on my sticker collection but because I needed a sticker from the referral shop I ended up launching multiple google ads campaigns to advertise for Subeta using my refferral link. I studied web development so I would get free ad campain vouchers in my monthly development magazines. At some point I changed my username to google, but keith gave me a virtual slap on the bum and changed me back to my actual username.

Happy anniversary, Subeta! I love being a part of this community. My favorite Subeta memory is probably the first plot I was around for; the science vs magic Galactic plot. That was how I got introduced to Jack Cardale and I even wrote bad fanfiction about it! Not that there aren't plenty of other nice memories here, and I hope that there will continue to be more for many years to come!
Mmmh, just started my garden, got two plots, planted 2 of the celebratory seeds who need roundabout 3 days to grow....
That means any garden starters can't grow too much of this special seeds cause doing Emma's quests to get more plots

Creating all the OC's I'd never think of and going over their personalities, plots and life events with my friends is something that would never happen without this site - so Thank you, Subeta Team for lovely 21 years, 11 months, 4 weeks and 1 day here. I may not be on as often as I used to (life gets in the way) but I love that there's a corner of the Interent I can return to and it's prettymuch the same as it was (except updated graphics/items and tons new stuff to collect and do :D).

It would be helpful to link to the gifting page in the news post ^^ Also, it could be explained better - the seeds you might find in your inventory have been gifted by someone, and that information can be found on the gifting page.

I've been here for 21 of those years. My best memories are doing the plots. i really enjoyed doing those.
