Due to neverending problems, all Free Shops (user run) have been changed to Gallerys.

You can no longer create, or have a free shop. If you wish to donate your items, use the donation option.

Also, you can create trades and give away items that way.

i see where people wanted everyone to have the chance to get an item or 2, but come on now, they were free shops... which free is free... i don't see where people really could complain it was a risk they took when they put valuable things up for free. It's like going to sams club... some people make a dinner out of all the free samples.

To faegrrrl:
<br>Yes but as I said, I hate the autopricer. I still do it the old fashioned way and that's my choice. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif border=0> And again, it's their shop. They can price any item for WHATEVER THEY WISH! If it's not charitable people, it's price gougers. No matter how you slice it, you're going to be stuck buying things for cheap. Deal with it. Stop being a controller of free will.
<br>
<br>To PonyCrazyHorseMad:
<br>They didn't really... I'm getting sick of having to point this out. Free Shops are... well were FREE OF RESTRICTION! Period.
<br>
<br><i>Posted by Stijn
<br>Couldn't you have implemented a function where the user could choose how many free items everyone could have? Like, a drop-down box.</i>
<br>I think that would've led to people creating more mules, to try and get around the restriction. As if they could get away with it. No matter HOW you slice it, someone is going to pay here. You're just going to have to deal with the decision made by the admins. I'm a raider and you don't hear me complaining. What's done is done.

I wish they could've stayed, but the complaints they caused were getting ridiculous. If at all possible, I think a drop-down menu limiting the number of purchases per user per day would be great; I suppose the free shops will be down awhile even that way though.
<br>I don't think 1 sp shops are the solution..And no, I'm not saying this because of the autopricer. They'd just be guaranteed to be even more worthless to the people who actually need cheap items than free shops were. Why? They can be found on a search of the regular market, and as seen here, users who don't -need- the item for 1sp are talking about buying it up just to get it out of the way. I'm not saying that's a crime, I don't blame them..Just a warning to 1 sp shop owners; there's even less of a point than with free shops.

I think everybody has gone insane! I do agree, however with Stijn:

<br><b>Quote:</b><blockquote style="padding:5px; line-height:15px; background-color: #FAFFFF; border: 1px solid #000000; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10;">Couldn't you have implemented a function where the user could choose how many free items everyone could have? Like, a drop-down box. </blockquote>
<br>
<br>That would have been nice ... would it be practical? Yes.
<br>Would it have hurt? No.
<br>What would the problem be? I speculate that inspite of that, there would always be whiners and complainers.
<br>What problems would there be? None that I can see, but hey, I think that the ultimate thing was that Keith and the other admins got sick of us as usual.
<br>
<br>0_o Seriously folks - stop poking the admins: they might poke back X_o

I always check my autopricing stuff, its not as hard as you think. So let people price at 1sP, its the person's fault for not looking at the price and hitting the "No Change" thing.

oh what mighty chaos one teensy little change makes XD

<br>"Not necessarily... They'll still be making a profit, albeit, minor profit but it's a profit none the less. They'll feel less "victimized." If people want to sell their crap for 1sP, I say let them. It's their shop, their items, they can do what they want with them."
<br>________________________________________
<br>Oh,I see.So because they'll be recieving sP,they have no cause to complain?(If they ever did before! <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif border=0>)

NoirRaven, do you have an autopricer? It's just much easier to click the button than to have to root through everything because someone wants to have a 1sP shop.
<br>
<br>I never had a free shop. If I wanted someone to have something for free, I donated it.
<br>
<br>The economy on here is seriously screwed. Look how many Glittery Notebooks I have in my one shop. It's insane.
<br>Having to buy out idiots is a pain in the butt and shouldn't even have to be done to stabalize the economy.
<br>
<br>MY POINT: 1sP and dropping prices ridiculously low so someone can have them for pretty much nothing, DONATE IT.
<br>IT REALLY IS THAT EASY.
<br>:sigh:

Aww... Well... For the best I suppose. Nice to know I went out as one of the more famous of Raiders. Mwahahaha! <img src="http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/5745/devilgrin5rd.gif" border="0"> How about a big round of applauds for the raiders, for without them this would've never happened. <img src="http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/7130/clap5su.gif" border="0"> .... <br>S'what I do, anyway...</i>
<br>EXACTLY! Pfft. This is why I don't use the autopricer. So many items get downgraded in price too quickly because EVERYONE uses that god damn thing. Pricing crap at 1sP won't be any different than someone pricing a 13K item at 5K or less. It gets to a point where someone can't raise the price (by buying out the cheaper ones) because they're too great in number to make that much of a profit. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_confused.gif border=0> Start questioning the autopricer.

ChibiGirl, you could gets things besides Slots items at the Donation Center before. I almost always find at least one non-Slots related item there. But this is off-topic, sooo... I also liked the "FREE!" sign. Oh well. x)

The autopricer is already pretty much useless because of price gougers. When someone drops a price by like 65% and then a bunch of abesent minded autopricers jump on the bandwagon without actually looking, then everything just drops rediculously. I don't even bother with the autopricer anymore. If I do it manually and there's only a few items that are rediculously cheaper, then I just buy them out.
0

Kabuto

Thats kind of sad... shows how whiney and/or selfish users can be, depending on the view D:
0

Thrinoskia

Regardless of how many problems Free Shops caused, they were still /FREE/ shops... and therefore, up for anyone to come and raid. If you did not like having people take as much as they wanted, you could have created Trades for giveaways instead. *shrug* I guess that's just my opinion, though I can't see this solving anything. There will still be problems, only now with 1sP shops and how they mess up the Autopricer or are killing the economy.

0

Tis probably for the best. ^^;
<br>
<br>And remember, the autopricer *shows* you the new prices before you agree to autoprice your items. So as long as you take a few seconds to scan over it, you can avoid losing sp.
<br>Taking a little bit more time to change a handful of prices is a small price to pay for not having to look up every single item on the shop search like non-GA users must. o-O

I was always careful not to go over any limits if they were set... In fact I once sMailed Sesshy_is_mine to make sure I didn't when I wasn't positive.

Upon re-reading my comment, I realized the second bit could be read in a different way. The intended meaning was to the tune of "Nothing can be done that wil make everyone happy, so this works well enough".
0

Fabulous. Now the autopricer that I paid real money for is next to useless.
<br>
<br>Then again, nothing can be accomplished without giving someone the shaft. In this case, I guess it's the donators.

Actually its stealing if they take more then the 1 or 2 item that you said to take.So actually.....they're stealing from poor newbies.I'm so happy...I was just going to delet me free shop!<3
0

I agree. Pricing at 1sP screws up the economy. If anything, auction the item for 1sP.

you should have expected for people to take more than what is posted... it is free stuff after all... greedyness gets the best out of people. It is wrong I agree but it should have been obvios that people wouldn't even read that it says to only take 1 or 2 or however many items. Also, Gallerys should be spelled Galleries xP
0

badger

Yay!Finally and end to the never-ending problems.I agree,many people took advantage of them.

Aha now look what the naughty people. No more Free shops. Also people who really want to give stuff away can price it for 1 sP.
