I like the new one. But, it lacks the charm the old had. If the kora is revamped, could you please look like it is levitating and little more mystical. That was the reason I fell in love with the koras. So for the poll I vote old.

This one actually looks a lot more real than the current version does and I admire that, but I honestly cannot bring myself to like the pose. I also think the mouth should be a big wider though I do admit that it does add a bit more realism to it to have the mouth smaller.

I dont dislike this new revamp... But I dont see what is wrong with the old one to be honest. Perhaps if the lineart is tweaked a little, that would be enough. But the old kora isnt unlike the rest of the Subeta art if ya know what Im saying.

Hanako... that redline basically solves every issue I have with the revamp (aside from the static pose but even that I'd forgive if the tweaks you suggest were implemented). It's only very, very minor things, in fact your redline shows some lines are purely a few pixels out, but that's the difference between 'not at all bad but seems a little too different to the mood of the original' and 'an actual improvement'.

eww the new one looks ugly. it doesnt have anything going for it. i doesnt have personality and feel to it. no offense to the artist who is Waffles by the way. By the signs of the comments here you have credibility. i dont think you got it on the head this time around....i like the OLDER one better. it has personality and feel to it. i can say that the old is mysterious, shy, and maybe even a stretch of imagination that its an evil experiment under a disguise and is planning subeta-world domination through making everybody fall in love with it's demure. The new one is not so much of that. its very rounded and very normal looking. The head is fine but still not up to the wuality of the older one. the body is so cliche. such a norm. it could be attached to a dog or maybe even a cat and you wouldnt know its a kora. The older one for sure you'll know the body is owned bya kora. The tail is not so sharp either. It does not give that magical mysterious wavy feel that the older kora's tail contribute to the whole image of the older one. This one just doesnt cut it out for me. Its not just par not only to the quality of design of the older kora but also the personality and vibes it gives off.

As I posted in the forums, I'm not a big fan of this current evolution of the kora, The legs seem too long, the neck seems creepy, and as many have said, the pose and overall look just seems to drop all of the character of the pet. I voted old, but hopeing for a line/shading revamp, without totally changing the pet.

I do love the new one. It's shading is gorgeous and the lineart is amazing! I did vote for the old one because there are a few things that do need a little touching up :3 I think one thing that is being brought up most is that the pose is very static. The old Kora had a whimsical feel to it and gave the Kora it's personality. I know that Subeta is trying to make the basic pets have a more neutral feel for RPers but if they all look so static they start to all feel the same. Now back to the Kora. There are only some tiny touch ups that I can see mostly located around the face. Redline provided x3

I just want the rest of the colors to come out. -spazzes- I agree with everyone that the shading is amazing, but to me, its definitely straying from the style of the kora that I've always loved. I don't like the fact that it's small stature is gone; the Kora was unique because it didn't -have- to be big with long legs or be able to stand high off the ground to be an impressive design; It looks too much like a cat now :/ Plus, I liked the shape of the old one's head.

I really dislike the new kora because it's just so... /bland/. A generic pose. I see how everyone wants the pets to match the "subeta" look, but don't most of the pets with the "subeta" look have nifty, live poses, with personality? For instance, most of the newer spectrum pets.. the charlie with the rainbow, the flying kumos.. they all have PERSONALITY. You can tell the charlie hates rainbows, and anything happy-fun looking. <img src=/images/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif border=0> But the new kora.. is just so... basic. You can't tell anything about it from this picture. The whole magical-kora-mystery thing... not there.

I honestly want to know why people think the new Kora is "emotionless" when the old Kora doesn't even have a mouth, which just yells "blank expression." The old one is not smiling or any other expressive feature at all. The new one works on that very ideal that the Kora should be like that.

It's the creepiest thing ever! Don't ruin my lovely Kora! The face looks like a porcelain doll, the pose is static, the shading makes it look like it's made of plastic and the tails now look like a sea creature's tentacles. Please just leave it as it is, this looks horrible.

I agree with pretty much everyone else - it lacks the sprite-like, light-as-air charm of the old Kora, the pose it too static and dull, and the face looks too strangely humanlike. And I also didn't really think the Kora needed a revamp in the first place. Neither did the Magnus or Canis... true, pets like that could use a little touching up, but there are other pets that NEED revamps first. Like the Cadogre... and what happened to the Escalade?

And actually, the flowy tail can pass..It's just something about the ears that seems they're being pulled upward by string from the ceiling. The fatter base of each tail strand is definately a keeper.

The lineart and shading of this one are gorgeous, no doubt. And I highly appreciate that this is nearly just the original Kora in another pose. However, I agree with previous posts pointing out that while the Kora's appendages still look flowy, the body is stiff. It looks disjointed rather than just the character of the Kora.

Hrm, I think the main problem with this is the lack of chibiness here... the old Kora had MUCH lower eyes and that suited it much better. The face of this version just doesn't look nearly as nice as the old version - please remove the visible mouth and lower the face somewhat? And the pose is far too static. Sorry, don't like this at all.

I still say that IF the Kora gets revamped, it should be in a "floating" position, as that was rather important for the Kora - it hinted at it's awesome powerful psychic abilities that allowed it to "levitate"... Or something similar... It made it seem that Koras were mystical beings - and the revamp makes it just look like some wierd "distant" cat creature.

I know plenty of people seem to like the revamp but I personally don't see any real improvement and it completely kills the character the old kora has so much of. Kora is one of my all-time favorite pets, I hope it will stay that way. This new one is so... lifeless, stiff, and just a big four-tailed cat.

Honestly, I really don't think the Kora needs a revamp. I mean, it doesn't look old or outdated or anything. The lineart is smooth and the shading is fine. Plus, the old one looks a lot funner and has more personality to it. Like the old Canis had. So, I'm sticking with the old one.

Ugh! Whats with all the revamps?! All the pets looked fine and then you started revamping them!!! The magnus looked great before, it looked like it was a fallen angel kinda thing right? Well now it looks like it just ate thanksgiving dinner! Then you redid the telenine! It does look good now though, but now your going to redo the kora?! The old one had life and spark, it looked happy and playful. The new one looks like a well shaded fan art of the original. The eyes are soulless and pathetic and the pose is just standard. You should either stick with the old one or present some new options.

After the Montre revamp, mostly the pets that looked rather good got revamps. And this is the case too: this Kora simply doesn't look as playful as the old one does. This one looks like it has no feelings at all (mostly 'cause of the eyes). It seems totally like a robot.

I think the anatomy and shading are really nice, but the eyes kinda scare me. o-o;; I think because of how dark the lines around it are and how...alien-like they look. They were always like that, but the new one is more noticable and kinda freaky. ^^; I also don't care for the shape of the head. o-O I agree that the old pose with some updates on shading and such would be much preferable to a new pose... the reason I don't have a Kora now (I did have a few at various times) was that I didn't care for any of the colors except common. It took me a while to decide what to do on this one. The new one has nice shading, but it seems way too stiff, and the back leg is bothering me a little. So I had to vote old.

But the face on this new one seems a little too.. tight, squished? How does one phrase it... the face on the new one looks like it has cheeks that some nosy aunt would like to run up and yank on... the old Kora's face seemed wider to me.
<br>The new eyes? Wow, I thought the old one had those scary jelly crystal eyes of doom... this one has it times ten... I personally never liked that feature about Koras, but I immagine many people did, and you've certainly emphasized it.
<br>The front right leg of the Kora also bugs me for some reason, almost as though it is round, where it should in fact be a bit more engular because of the "elbow" joint. And the far right leg is nearly totally obscured by the front left, which almost makes it seem as though the little bit you can see is an error in coloring... hmm... it's an odd look, certainly not what I'd expected of a Kora... I'll be mulling over this for a while to decide which I like more. Though the shading of the tails on the new one alone is quite convincing...
