Know I see the differences. These people are right the malticorn is scary! It looks like a crossbreed of a floppy eared puppy and a horse. The Tigrean looks better now.

As for my say; I have to admit I didn't much care for the old chibi, though I think it had to do with my personal taste and /not/ with the technical quality of it. However, I find myself absolutely in love with this new chibi - I like how it was restored to the malticorn's common colors. I think it looks much more like a malticorn then the first did because the original's horn was sort of.. just there and resulted in more of a puppy then a mixed appearance?
Though I too had begun to think that the eyes were somewhat crossed, I think it's just how the mane/hair is falling across the eye and how the two shades of blue cross. Perhaps that bit of hair can be swept aside more to expouse the face better to get rid of that?
As for the comments on the malticorn's gender, I really do think it is genderless, or is atleast far more genderless then the original, I think it's just the fact that the chibi is blue that might lead some to believe that it's more boyish.

I love the revamped malticorn, the other one was really cute but the new one is even cuter and less gender spacific and the colors match the common malticorn. However ): I see (amazingly) a huge difference in all the tiny little changes done to the tigrean, and I really dislike them ): and just so you don't think I'm insane heres them side by side.:

Cybill didn't change much, except for its pose and eyes. Maltcorn had a MAJOR makeover. Cute, but in my opinion I think it should've been slightly more fluffy liek the old one. Tigrean...um...I don't really notice a change, but then again I'm not a big Chibi fan so...I never really pay close attention to them. :3 Nice makeovers though.

The malticorn is beautifully done, no doubt about it, and I can appreciate how it's not gender-specific anymore. However, I have to agree with many others that there's something wrong with the eyes that just make it a deal-killer..They're too close together, and it appears to be crosseyed. It makes it look like a loony-toon.
Also, although the colors are closer to the Common Malticorn than the previous Chibi, it's still somewhat gender specifc. The common malticorn is shaded with a pale aqua, and has yellow hooves. I'm not trying to be technical, I don't think Chibis -have- to match the Common scheme exactly..But being totally steel-blue makes this chibi suggestively male, while the common Malticorn is quite ambiguous because of that subtle difference. Also, perhaps it should be given more of a mane around it's neck like the Common to soften the boyish look.
Lovely touch-ups on the Tigrean, and the Cybill is just plane adorable. It's a tad baby-like compared to most chibis, but that's what some people will love about it, so I'm glad it's available.

Seriously though, there will always be someone who complains about something... I say do away with the commenting, it would save the artist from having their feelings hurt when they took the time to make something i'm sure they feel is totally awesome and then some users bash it. And also save users from saying the wrong things and getting warned. This is just my opinion though.

I would have preferred a vote on the Malticorn, as it is such a major change (colors, pose... everything. Even the mood of the pet has changed from cutesy to... hyperactive).

Er... Can I just say? Everyone's got different tastes... They either will like or dislike the changes, but some of you are forgetting the point... They were redrawn so that they would fit the current style of subeta, and for various other technical reasons; you can't just ask for a revamp just because you think that it's ugly or doesn't meet your tastes. I'm shocked by some of the inconsiderate comments made by a few people here. ;o; So just keep that in mind; I don't think it's fair on the artists that you guys keep posting at these updates that you think the pet is uglier, when that has nothing to do with how well it fits it's particular species or the rest of the subeta pets, whilst another person actually thinks the update is better. That's your taste/opinion, so I believe you should keep that to yourself, especially when negative. I mean, hardly any of the negative comments I've read so far have ANYTHING to do with the technicalities, or when they do, are otherwise wrong in their judgement. Why don't you all try to put yourselves in the artists' shoes for once?

Alright, didn't know it was supposed to be a cross with a maltese, so I take back my puppy complaint.... But I still think the face could use a little depth, just looks too flat to me. ...Was trying to pinpoint what looked off about it to me, that's all. The artist did a fabulous job on the body, though.

The colors on the old malticorn were better. I can see slight revamps to clean up lines... but when the artists COMPLETELY change the pose and color of a pet people on here paid good money to create, they should expect SOME backlash. This is awful.

To whomever said the the Chibi Tigrean still had thick lineart: That line can't be ANY MORE than 2px, whereas the old one had extremely thick lineart around the outside that had to be at least 5px... Be sure your cache is cleared. Any smaller and the lineart wouldn't even exist!<br>
