Know I see the differences. These people are right the malticorn is scary! It looks like a crossbreed of a floppy eared puppy and a horse. The Tigrean looks better now.

As for my say; I have to admit I didn't much care for the old chibi, though I think it had to do with my personal taste and /not/ with the technical quality of it. However, I find myself absolutely in love with this new chibi - I like how it was restored to the malticorn's common colors. I think it looks much more like a malticorn then the first did because the original's horn was sort of.. just there and resulted in more of a puppy then a mixed appearance?
Though I too had begun to think that the eyes were somewhat crossed, I think it's just how the mane/hair is falling across the eye and how the two shades of blue cross. Perhaps that bit of hair can be swept aside more to expouse the face better to get rid of that?
As for the comments on the malticorn's gender, I really do think it is genderless, or is atleast far more genderless then the original, I think it's just the fact that the chibi is blue that might lead some to believe that it's more boyish.

Sylvie there's a pic of the old chibi malticorn further down near the bottom... as for the chibi tigrean, i don't see how anyone could really complain about it... it's a very minimal change... and for those who don't think the new chibi malticorn is gender specific I don't see how you think that... it looks more like a boy... I know I spent 600k on mine and now I have to change it to angelic so that it's more feminine to represent my daughter... lord only knows how i'm gonna manage to get an angelic potion

I love the revamped malticorn, the other one was really cute but the new one is even cuter and less gender spacific and the colors match the common malticorn. However ): I see (amazingly) a huge difference in all the tiny little changes done to the tigrean, and I really dislike them ): and just so you don't think I'm insane heres them side by side.:

Cybill didn't change much, except for its pose and eyes. Maltcorn had a MAJOR makeover. Cute, but in my opinion I think it should've been slightly more fluffy liek the old one. Tigrean...um...I don't really notice a change, but then again I'm not a big Chibi fan so...I never really pay close attention to them. :3 Nice makeovers though.

The malticorn is beautifully done, no doubt about it, and I can appreciate how it's not gender-specific anymore. However, I have to agree with many others that there's something wrong with the eyes that just make it a deal-killer..They're too close together, and it appears to be crosseyed. It makes it look like a loony-toon.
Also, although the colors are closer to the Common Malticorn than the previous Chibi, it's still somewhat gender specifc. The common malticorn is shaded with a pale aqua, and has yellow hooves. I'm not trying to be technical, I don't think Chibis -have- to match the Common scheme exactly..But being totally steel-blue makes this chibi suggestively male, while the common Malticorn is quite ambiguous because of that subtle difference. Also, perhaps it should be given more of a mane around it's neck like the Common to soften the boyish look.
Lovely touch-ups on the Tigrean, and the Cybill is just plane adorable. It's a tad baby-like compared to most chibis, but that's what some people will love about it, so I'm glad it's available.

Seriously though, there will always be someone who complains about something... I say do away with the commenting, it would save the artist from having their feelings hurt when they took the time to make something i'm sure they feel is totally awesome and then some users bash it. And also save users from saying the wrong things and getting warned. This is just my opinion though.

I would have preferred a vote on the Malticorn, as it is such a major change (colors, pose... everything. Even the mood of the pet has changed from cutesy to... hyperactive).

Er... Can I just say? Everyone's got different tastes... They either will like or dislike the changes, but some of you are forgetting the point... They were redrawn so that they would fit the current style of subeta, and for various other technical reasons; you can't just ask for a revamp just because you think that it's ugly or doesn't meet your tastes. I'm shocked by some of the inconsiderate comments made by a few people here. ;o; So just keep that in mind; I don't think it's fair on the artists that you guys keep posting at these updates that you think the pet is uglier, when that has nothing to do with how well it fits it's particular species or the rest of the subeta pets, whilst another person actually thinks the update is better. That's your taste/opinion, so I believe you should keep that to yourself, especially when negative. I mean, hardly any of the negative comments I've read so far have ANYTHING to do with the technicalities, or when they do, are otherwise wrong in their judgement. Why don't you all try to put yourselves in the artists' shoes for once?
I just think that people commenting should take a break from the usual "OMG I LOVE THAT" and "NUUU I HATE IT ><" and firstly take the time to think whether their opinion has anything to do with the way the pet has improved or the work the artist has done to update the art, as that is the point of an art update, NOT to find a pet that suits EVERYONE's taste but to actually UPDATE the art. Alright, didn't know it was supposed to be a cross with a maltese, so I take back my puppy complaint.... But I still think the face could use a little depth, just looks too flat to me. ...Was trying to pinpoint what looked off about it to me, that's all. The artist did a fabulous job on the body, though.

The colors on the old malticorn were better. I can see slight revamps to clean up lines... but when the artists COMPLETELY change the pose and color of a pet people on here paid good money to create, they should expect SOME backlash. This is awful.

To whomever said the the Chibi Tigrean still had thick lineart: That line can't be ANY MORE than 2px, whereas the old one had extremely thick lineart around the outside that had to be at least 5px... Be sure your cache is cleared. Any smaller and the lineart wouldn't even exist!<br>

I like the pose and the colour of the new malti - I'm just not sure on the face. I think maybe the hair covers a little too much of its eyes, that's all, giving it that slightly cross-eyed look. The actually pose is adorable! Nice job, artists!

The Tigrean did need a revamp very desperately but I'm not really seeing any change at all from the old one. One of the major problems with the old version was overly thick outlining and... well, that doesn't seem to have been fixed at all.

I have but one question why revamps before the pets are drawn in all colors? The dark matter and graveyard Fester have yet to be revamped and the Hydrus and Spectrum Fester has yet to be drawn. Just curious. Not fussing

I think everything about the malticorn is fine, except the face. It's so squashed, and it looks cross eyed. It looks a tad demonic, so if you could sort out the face and the eyes especially then it would be OK. The Cybill, well I've never been a fan of the kind of shading we see more and more on Subeta these days that makes everything look shiny and plastic, but apart from that it's OK. The Tigrean is OK, it's the same, I've never thought it actually looked Chibi though TBH...

Okay, fealt like adding that the malticorn is partial designed after a maltese, or so I guess, so a /dog/ so its new pose and body are PERFECT. THE NEW MALTI IS WELL DONE AND WELL THOUGHT OUT. And ever since they changed the reborn hikei, its one of the /only/ pets with a dynamic pose. This new malti resembles the default malti /much/ better than the old one... don't like it? GET OVER IT. Its a FREAKING GAME people, just pixels... no need to torture an AMAZING artist over it...

I am looking at my Malticorns its just not the same. I am sure they are not going to change anything due to the fact that the artist put in so much work. However, it would have been nice to ask an opinion especially most people either paid big SPs or actual real money to have their chibi pet created.

I hope there is some chance of redoing the malticorn :/ It honestly looks like a dog with hooves to me...It doesn't look at all close to chibi anymore. I think it would be great if we could keep to the old pose, but fix up the shading and lineart a bit, and possibly the colours, so it doesn't have to be too girly.

The face on the new Malticorn chibi just looks all wrong... it looks like you took a puppy head and put it on there... I know the first chibi also looked somewhat dog-ish, but not this badly, least it was cute enough to make up for it.

Rofl. I don't understand why people dislike the new Chibi Malticorn so much. It's actually my favourite Chibi pet of all of the species now. Far more clean, crisp, bouncy and adorable. I've wanted a Chibi pet for something like.. a year and half.. but have never been able to make a concret decision. However... the new Chibi Malticorn.. I actually think I really, really want it.

I'm glad I didn't convince my daughter to let me buy her a chibi potion now. *nods* I'm sure the artist who drew the new chibi malticorn worked really hard on it, so it's nothing personal. Love the 'vamp on the Cybill, great job there. The tigrean could still use a big major 'vamp though. I like it better then I did. I dont really see the point changing the malit' so much. I imagen this new 'vamp looks more like the species, but the other one was kawaii. This one....not so much. Could you have just re-colored the older one? It just is strange looking. The face needs some help. It doesnt even look like it has a muzzle anymore.

Chibi is the same as super deformed pretty much...they'remeant tobe'bobble-headed'...a true chibi has a head 3 times its body size!`

The chibi malticorn was altered in some strange ways, loss of fur and cross eyes are just to examples. I'm going to be constructive and suggest that you change the hair just a little bit over its right eye so it looks like it has proper perephereal vision.

I must say, I was never a fan of the old chibi Malticorn, this new one isn't sitting well with me. The face is just.. I don't know, like it was squashed inwards with a bat, and I'm honestly not trying to be rude. The shading is great, the pose is adorable, but that face just kinda kills it for me, and I can't think of any better way to put it.<br />

Although I did prefer the old Malticorn, the new one is also very childlike and playful. The eyes do look like they're crossed, but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm considering all of these for my last petslot, anyway. :3

ABOUT TIME. Wonderful job, excellent looking chibis, all of them. I adore the Chibi Malticorn, it actually looks like a Chibi now! The other one was cute, but it really didn't appear to be a chibi rather than a chubby lilac. And the Tigrean re-line was good, but I honestly think it should have gotten a full revamp. The pose is just a little awkward... Cybill looks amazing. Wonderful job on all!

Meh ... I give up on it entirely now ... changed her into a dawn keeto (looks like it played in some pepto LOL) and eventually she will be angelic. That will work. I will have to say ... that the new one, while cute and childlike, it isn't how I veiw a chibi ... not nearly chunky enough nor are the eyes wide enough to be really a chibi by traditional sense, but I will say that the artist did good work on the chibi malticorn as it is well drawn and colored, even if I don't agree with the change.

I'm deeply sadened by the change of the chibi malticorn,not sure why it needed such a drastic change.
What i liked about the old one was it's look of inquisitiveness, as if it was looking down at a bug on the ground, just like a child would.
The revamp looks a bit cross-eyed now.

When I think chibi I think cute, and yeah, pretty large heads... but the chibi feli is all head and balloons.
I can appreciate a good chibi, but the chibi feli just really needs to be revamped to put the cute factor in it, and some decent anatomy.

Forgot to note, the old chibi Malticorn looked waaaay to girly. The animals shoul have a non specific gender look to them. There would have been no good way to change any boy malticorn into a chibi, because the chibi made it look like it was girls only. Plus, it had different colors. The pets shouldn't have different colors from the original unless it's a specific theme, like Angelic, Graveyard, Dark Matter, etc. At least now the new chibi is back to it's original animal colors, the way it should be. ///
And it doesn't look like a lazy dog anymore. The old Malticorn wasn't keeping up with Subeta's current art style. It looked way to old. ///

Wow...I'm not sure weather to say I prefered the old or new chibi malticorn. On one hand, the new malticron has better shading and lines. However, I supposed I prefer the old malticron because while the shading seemed to annoy me...it's not half as bad as the new one's face. No offence to the artist, the body lineart is splendid and the pose is adorable, but just the face itself makes the whole image annoying- I think it's something with the eyes. I'm not sure weather to say it won't grow on me though.

The older Malti scared me XD; though the pose was adorable, reminded me of Oreo, my baby goat. The new one just.. scares me. Seems to dog-like.

Love the Chibi Cybill, liked the old one too. Chibi Tigrean is nice with the new shading. -pets him-
As for the Chibi Malticorn. I really liked the old one, the newer one seems really small, whereas the old one used to fill almost the whole 100 x 100 pixels. The old ones where also more colorful and not so... cheerful? I don't know, the older ones seemed more like they were intellegent, coy creatures. Their eyes seemed deeper. The new ones lack much emotion except excessive cheerfulness. The shading is beautiful and the pose is cute though, I'm just more fond of the older one. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif border=0>

I personally was a lot fonder of the old chibi malticorn... I didn't think there was any reason for revamping it, but I guess that's just me. =/ The other two I suppose are okay.

I like that the tigrean is not much changed. I really like it the way it is. But the Malticorn, sadly, I preferred the original chibi. This one looks a bit like the chibi Ruffie to me...was it the work of the same artist?

*cough* Er-kay, now that that's out of the way.... its good to see that they kept their poses, and it was just the shading and lineart that got "spruced up".
The Chibi Tigrean is my favorite out of these, it was cute before (as much as cute disturbs me) but it's good to see that it kept the thick black lines around the eyes, very nice.
