You're correct it is an actual random event that can happen at anytime to you and not all users at the same time. I've had the event before. It's just very very rare

Ichigo- A potion giveaway couldn't be on a scheduled day as, if everyone knew about it in advance, then far too many users would get on for it and the site wouldn't be able to take the overload and would die.

Well, I'm like a few of the others. . .I missed the potion restock in the Ticket Shop. (It was like 4am here when that happened). I missed the potion random events because my son needed to go to the store. (But I DID get a random event saying that Maleria took some of my sP). And I just finished 30 Wizard Quests and, of coarse, he didn't give me any potions. sigh Just "one of those days"! lol

How about a Potion/Elixir Day. Every one will receive one a random Potion/Elixir on that day it could be cheap/common or Super rare/expensvie.<br />

I missed the giveaway, see this proves I must sit in front of the comp 24/7 or I miss stuff. The one day I get out of the house for more than 3 hrs I miss something big. I understand it makes it fair, but it is also not, since I had to pay for mine, and all the people who got it free didn't. I just think the release of potions into carnival should have been at intervals and the giveaway should have been all day. Then ev1 would have a pretty equal chance to get at least one

Well A few hours ago keith made a Random event were the Wizard will give you a random potion/elixir. and you only supposed to get one and if you got multiple potion/elixir you must delete the extra.

Kaleise that's a toughy, but take Aimee's advice. You got one potion/elixir from the wizard, and one from the events. There's a log about these things I think, so you shouldn't get in trouble. One is rightfully yours by default, it being from the wizard. you shouldn't have to give that up. And you should be able to keep ONE from the random event.

Okay, I understand the oops in giving the potions.. but here's my troubles, I had just finished a wizard's quest, and gotten either a potion or elixir, as well as a 10pwt.. but I don't know what potion/elixir it had been,... (was being harassed by a 4.75 year old little boy and had already clicked another window)and I now have... count them.. 15 in my inventory...~falls over~ famine or feast... should I just pick the one I think may have been wiz prize, and delete all others? or keep two? or what? Still don't understand if we can chose the *one* we want and delete the rest or not. can we *choose* one? or do we have to keep the one we got first thing. Cause, the thing is, I didn't really realise the random events until my third (I ignore random events), so after checking my inventory, and refreshing, I got overloaded with stuff. It was all such a blur. <br />
It would be nice if people could chose the one they want to keep. It may help bring down the prices of potions if more people put them up.

I just kept getting random events every time I clicked to go to another page. My first one was a reborn potion which I have been wanting. I finally was able to turn Alkthoron reborn. I deleted the other 6 potions/elixirs I got. I had to x out of my browser and bring up another page just to stop the random event thingies.<br />

I don't think the double potion deleting thing is fair, they shouldn't have been given doubles to begin with... Now people who received a not so rare potion as their event but got a spectrum or bloodred or whatever as their second are of course going to keep the more expensive one.

Though it's disheartening to realize all the potions have been bought up already at the Ticket Shop, does no one else realize there are other ways to color your pet? Area 62 has been very kind to me and given me 4 potins already, and the Pet Zapper, frustrating though it may be at times, is stilla fun way to get your pets changed for relatively cheap cost. <br />

So everyone, there MAY be another chance soon to get a potion. Some people got a message saying that have to wait 12 hours to buy another one, and this COULD be an indication that there will be more. And if it doesn't, oh well.<br />

Princess_Isho, you shouldn't make fun of people for being upset. No one waaahed in their post. They are just sad they didn't get the chance, but that is how chance goes. Everyone needs to chill out. If you don't want to buy the potions in trades for those ridiculously large prices, there has been one method throughout history that always worked. BOYCOTT it. do NOT purchase one, or attempt to purchase one. Sit it out, and the users who want 5 mil for it, will drop it eventually when they realize they will never get it. There are some who are too impatient and want SP right away, so they'll lower those prices. (I'm one of those kind. If I had a potion, I'd only sell it for 3 mil XD)<br /><br />

And stop ragging on poor Keith that "It's not faaaaaair. waaaahhh waaaahhh waaaaahhhh". The poor guy is doing his best.<br /><br />
And since when releasing those potions at that time wasn't fair??? HMMMM, from what I remember, those potions would stock at times when I was at WORK, and while all you little kiddies were able to get off from school and be home to enjoy grabbing one. Yeah, kinda disappointing to come home at 7 PM everyday and not able to ever get anything.<br /><br />

Plus, the ticket to token is rather a very good idea. Purchasing tickets was bothersome and restricting, too much to the point where I gave up and didn't bother with it anymore. Not many people would be able to get enough tickets before a recently released item went out of stock. This way, people can get tokens without a limit restriction, and get the chance to buy something. I've been playing for 6 months, and before this new change, I had been able to get only one item in the ticket shop ever, because buying the tickets was a hassle, or I never had enough to get something. With the new token method, I was able to buy something else. A Lily Lace for me and a friend, and it finally felt good to do it. Personally Keith, I say hooray to the new method. Instead of it taking two months for me to scrape up enough tickets, I have more of a chance to get something like everyone else.<br /><br />
Also as a last note: Instead of thinking about it as "what about me. poor me got no potion", perhaps you should think of the situation as, "well, at least the users who otherwise never had a chance before, finally got one now." and be a little happy for them at least. HMMMM, from what I remember, those potions would stock at times when I was at WORK, and while all you little kiddies were able to get off from school and be home to enjoy grabbing one. Yeah, kinda disappointing to come home at 7 PM everyday and not able to ever get anything.<br /><br />

Plus, the ticket to token is rather a very good idea. Purchasing tickets was bothersome and restricting, too much to the point where I gave up and didn't bother with it anymore. Not many people would be able to get enough tickets before a recently released item went out of stock. This way, people can get tokens without a limit restriction, and get the chance to buy something. I've been playing for 6 months, and before this new change, I had been able to get only one item in the ticket shop ever, because buying the tickets was a hassle, or I never had enough to get something. With the new token method, I was able to buy something else. A Lily Lace for me and a friend, and it finally felt good to do it. Personally Keith, I say hooray to the new method. Instead of it taking two months for me to scrape up enough tickets, I have more of a chance to get something like everyone else.<br /><br />
Also as a last note: Instead of thinking about it as "what about me. poor me got no potion", perhaps you should think of the situation as, "well, at least the users who otherwise never had a chance before, finally got one now." and be a little happy for them at least. I couldn't get one, but I'm not complaining. We'll get out chance again, don't worry your pretty little heads.

If you've been paying attention, you'll see that Keith has been trying to balance the price of tokens and the wizard quests. Just because he misjudged the reaction of the economy doesn't mean he's trying to trick anyone out of their money.<br />

Of course it's fair. Most big ticket shop releases happen during the same approximate times, leaving people in wonky time zones without a chance. This gave them their chance. And we were only able to purchace one potion, so there was no "buying up". Once people realize that their potions aren't selling, they'll drop their prices. All in good time.<br />

Well, it wasn't very fair. But then people aren't fair...I doubt the folks who buy them up are thinking of fairness and letting someone else have a chance. Luckily for me, I have already colored my pets with the exception of waiting for the angelic celinox. I feel bad for those of you who were waiting for a release though, with all of your tickets. At least the ticket-token conversion should help you feel better.

I don't think they can release more right now. Token prices have gone through the roof - even if they only released 5 potions a day for a week or something, everyone would be buying up all the tokens in preparation. And every time they do a release, this will happen to the tokens. This system really really favours the rich, and will impact most upon the poor who will take even longer to save wiz tokens now they are rarer to get and more expensive. I'm sure it will be tweaked to work in the end, but it worked great before, I thought.

I'm by no means complaining, I got a reborn potion..But in response to other users, perhaps in the future Keith will make it so potions stock gradually. Perhaps the reason he released them this way was to a.) test it out on a small crowd b.) because every other potion release was at an entirely different hour of the day, meaning those here last night were not the same user base who usually gets potions from the shop.

And this is why using tokens for the what used to be the ticket shop is a bad idea x.x Not only are the tokens too inflated (9k for one 5-point?), but now people can just buy tokens whenever a potion comes out, so they'll (the potions) go faster than a flash of lightning. With the ticket shop you could only buy 30 per day, so the potions lasted longer.. <br /><br />Regarding the wizard quests, I really do hope that it's being fixed for the better. Though I completed around 6 quests, all but 2 were 11k or under. Most of the prizes I got were worth 5k and under too.

I think instead of all 200 potions stocking all at the same time it should have been broken up, 20 or so at this time then so many hours later another 20 or so.... untill all 200 have stocked, that would have given everyone more of a chance of getting one.

I have a dumb question. . .Is that the last time the token shop will restock or will it restock items again? I realize that no matter what time the potion restock happened, there will be some folks upset (because of time zones, sleeping, etc.) But if it restocks a little here and a little there, more people will get a shot at getting a potion.

I have been saving tickets for a spectrum potion, foregoing other cute things, but those dilligently trying to save tickets have been saving for pretty much nothing, since tokens are easier to come by. Tokens are obtained by doing the Wizard Quests. Just go to Explore - Sacred Lands - Wizard Quests. And don't pay too much for his quests, never more than 10,000 sP (limit to 5K or 7K if you want a bigger profit).

Wow, all the shinies. Well this certainly made token prices go kaboom. Another advantage of the standard ticket shop was that restocks lowered prices on rare items without inflating prices on common ones. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_whatthe.gif border=0> It was also more advantageous to older, loyal players who bought their tickets daily, rather than rich players who could afford to buy up enough tokens fast. I take it restocks will go back to being rare now? o_O

Looking at it again, I'm very amused. First you make the Wiz cheaper so that it will deflate token prices. Then you release Area 62 to make them go back up. Then you make the Wiz uberhard so that the ticket/token exchange doesn't deflate them to nothing. But before any real effect can be seen, this happens and they all sky-rocket.<br />
