The velosotor and devonti have received a bit of an update in their common poses! The devonti is also now available in Nuclear and Marsh. The velosotor should be available in these colors soon.

Whip; I don't think we should be shamed. XD If there are many people on a petsite who keep elaborating on a critique of a picture, then there might just be something to it. <img src=http://www.subeta.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif border=0> For one, whenever you're an artist on a petsite, your work IS going to be critiqued whether you like it or not. Some people are always going to dislike your work, while others will like it. I know this because I work as an artist on two petsites currently, and I get critiqued all the time: not just by users, but fellow staff, as well. Being an artist on a petsite isn't supposed to cater to your own personal wants and needs, but those of the users as well. I don't think the users should be shamed for not liking something, especially if it was changed without a poll.
The Velosotor looks perfect to me. Just did a bit of research on some dinosaurs, so I think the back of the head and the arms look fine to me.

I just found out about the devonti revamp :3 I think it looks rather nice with those cleaned up lines. I still have no idea how you guys make your lineart so sharp! I think the only thing is that there is a tad too much shading on the legs so it looks a little messy there. Also what everyone is saying with the muzzle about it being longer. I don't think it is. Just the the bottom of the upper lip juts out instead of curving in giving it a different look. They really did need a revamp though XD

Shame on you all - The artist obviously worked very hard on keeping the Devonti the same, and you repeatedly criticize over the tiniest little things. How would you feel is you posted your art for thousands to see and just have people say "oh it sucks, the nose is slightly off, try again" It is a very very slight change, and you only hate it because you are looking for something to hate. She worked very hard to keep it pretty much the same, and still you find no positive feedback. I for one like the new Devonti; it matches the style of the other pets better than the old one, which was rather outdated. Besides, there are 82 species to choose from, and in many many colours. If you do not like this particular one, surely there is another <img src=http://www.subeta.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_sigh.gif border=0>
The muzzle on the Devonti looks more like the shape of a bill on a duck. Still don't like the new look Velosotor though which is disappointing as I've been waiting over a year for the Hydras one to come out.

It may be the exact same size, but I think the problem is that the lines are smaller and the mouth isn't as cute and happy as the old one looked. I mostly dislike it because the fur just seems so flat and "scraggly", like it's just jumped into some water and let itself drip dry... it just doesn't look as nice as the "old" devonti did, in my opinion. Which is why I'm glad I changed Shut to spectrum before the revamp. ;3

That little bit of neck showing on the devonti is what makes the head "look big" it's the same size.

The Devonti looks pretty good. The ears seem a tad bit big to me and the snout too.

The Devonti has been changed from an adorable cuddly pet to an animal with an obnoxious snout. It's fine that we get upset about these things because our pets are very personal to us. And it's bad if I can't even stand to look at my pet anymore. PLEASE - with all that is good and holy don't you dare change the Angelic that I just spent 13 million for or the Chibi. The faces on these and the Bloodred should be a template for how the others SHOULD look. Just because it IS a barnyard animal doesn't mean it has to look like one.

The new Velosotor seems alright, except for the stupid smile. It looks simple-headed, and maybe there aren't any teeth. Also the arms are STILL in that funky position, making it look like a palsy patient.
I will admit, in favour of the redraws, that the old Devonti was rather harshly shaded, by comparison to the new one, and the old Velosotor's anatomy was bungled badly.

Oh, and I don't like the new Twilight Velosotor as much, either. The old one was black with light blue stripes, the new one is black with darker blue stripes. The color scheme just isn't as pretty as it was before.

Now, the new one DOES have a larger face than the old one, but it's only noticeable if you zoom in on the picture REALLY far, as it's only actually a few pixels bigger. The big noticeable differences are that the new one has smaller ears, bigger horns, and a big poofier tail. The old one had poofier fur, making it's body appear bigger than the body of the new one.

The Velo is total win. And the Devonti looks GREAT.. EXCEPT.. the snout seems a bit.. more.. butch and .. biggish? Iunno. I always liked how dainty the old Devonti's facial structure was. :3
Whats wrong with arid? All of the devonti colours (except nuclear,) follow a specific pattern. Their long coat fur is a lighter colour of the fur on the face and legs, with accent colours on the horns. A few of the old ones, like lilac (and arid, apparently? ) had... the same colour everything. Lilac had a purple face with a lighter purple coat, and purple horns. (and I think purple eyes.) It looked colour filtered.

The Devonti is very nice, although (like many have said) the slightly long nose draws a lot of attention to it.. Makes it look much less like a Llama/sheep and more like a dog. It's still gorgeous, but I can see why people are upset, because it's the first thing you notice when you look at it. :B
Overall, they're both just.. Spectacular! I don't even know what else to say!

mmm...the devonti is a little wonky. i dont know what it is. i liked how the old devonti had a little snout, to make it all cute and fluffy. ohh..well the velosotor is okay, because i didnt like the sabre toes or whatever they were called. oh well, whatcha gonna do?
I love is Devonti to death. It's cute without being "KAWAII!!" and manages a bit of sweet dignity that doesn't automatically remind someone of a deer. Also, the feet are no longer hilarious, the fur looks like fur without being super shiny (and uncharacteristic) or grossly matted/wooly. I liked the Devonti (except the feet and redraws are so so) before, and I like this one much better.

Telling them they're horrible and how did they make them so bad? This isn't critique, it's insulting. Please give REASONS for your... anger?... so they may be able to improve it.
