Aaah, the diyas are lovely! Better than the ones we put outside our door. This is amazing, but my only problem is with the rasmalai. It just looks different in terms of shape, size, and color. But the Motichoor ladoos look good to eat!

Preeettyyyy items.I especially LOVE the candles. They are just too cute. Great work to the artists.=D

I just tried a buncha things but nothing seems to make the trade searches work on IE. Sorry. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /><br />

K I should prolly stop spamming comment snow. 8D

I would just like to add that the Diwali items are beautiful, kudos to the artists! Thanks Subeta for introducing me to a new holiday to celebrate (gak- more things to aquire for the holiday gallery!!!)

Maybe. *shrugs*<br />
<br />
Well, I've learned the trick of how to get the trades to work in IE.... now does anyone know the trick to get the trade SEARCH to work in IE? 8D

Aleks

I...don't get how you couldn't have.<br />
<br />
Maybe I have a bad sense of humor or somethin'.

DNA_558

I feel everyone's pain, honestly, and if I could fix the site myself I most certainly would.<br />
<br /><br />
But I'm just an artist and art director, and don't have any programming experience to speak of. The artists made this batch of items and asked me if we could have them released to celebrate the holiday, and I didn't want them to go to waste. They'll be restocking all month, so if you can't get the tonight, you will have more shots at it when the site is in better condition, promise.<br />
<br /><br />
Please keep in mind, though, that directing angry comments at the art department because of the state of the site is fruitless. We certainly are just as frustrated as you are, and just like you, there's nothing we personally can do to fix it.
0

minno150

XD Hey, you know what? How about while the shops ARE still glitched so we can't buy anything that the programmers take a second to change it so the shops only restock rare items. I know that'd be cruel and even more frustrating for most users, but I personally would like some eye candy while they're down. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" /> Well, more so I'd just like to see the rare minions shuffling through so I can stare at 'em.
0

minno150

o.0 I don't get how you could possibly have read Rainchan's post as rude.
0

Einao

Ah, I totally forgot something!<br />
"something else, forums"<br />
Forums don't work for me.<br />
I can view the index page... and that's it. Can't view threads - nothing. Lol. xDD I won't switch browsers, lalala~
0

Einao

I think it's quite hilarious that this happened. xD I mean - yay to the artists for creating new items. (I LOVE the lamps!) But then again... lol, you can't buy them in the main shops and everyone's pissed off about that and the staff runs wild because everyone's annoyed. <br />
Oh well, let's just wait. o_O' This glitch is on the site every now and then anyway xD Get used to it, people
0

Aleks

Wow, am I the only one who found Rainchan's comment very sarcastic and rude? (Or just the only one gutsy enough to admit it?)<br />
<br />
Sure a LOT of user comments are too--but when staff starts being rude too it just looks very unprofessional and makes things seem worse. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
Anyway glitches happen. I'm not too worried about it. ^^
0

HEiRESS

Ack, I'm going to rephase my last comment.<br />
<br />
No vending machines that give items SPECIFICALLY from the Holiday shop. The clothing/plushies can be gotten from oceans depth/prize get because they go by item type and not plushies only in plushie parlour, etc.
0

waterfall

I'm not particularly fussed about the glitches. Find something else to do. Forums are working perfectly, trades are still good, tokens work in machines. We've had worse glitches than this, it's probably not as simple as you think to fix the problems. In the beginning there were a completely different set of programmers, so you can't blame it on them. Yeah, I'm getting tired of the glitches, but I'm getting more tired of people complaining... it's not gonna get the site fixed any faster, it's just going to make it a depressing time while we wait X3 I totally understand your point of view though. There's just... no point complaining? Giving the staff a headache isn't gonna fix it any quicker X3 <br />
<br />
The new items are beautiful, can someone tell me who drew them? ^^ The candles, ahh I have to get them xD It was madness last night, I thought fireworks were hitting my windows xD My dog was sat on the end of my bed on a towel cowering ALL NIGHT xDD I don't even celebrate it, it was pretty though! ^^

<br />
Actually, as someone who pretty much lives in the vending machines, there are no vending machines that give items from the holiday shop, and dragons hoard only gives out food that restocks in the food market.. not food in general, so they can't be gotten from vending machines.

<br />
Yanno that is fine and dandy we totally get that it is a holiday item and it is a holiday. I am also not stupid. I know artists do not do the coding. That still does not change the fact that we have every right to be upset. I donate 20 to 25 dollars a month to the site at least. I think as a user I have every bit of right to be frustrated. I see beautiful items that are out for a special holiday that no one can buy. <br />
<br />
The shops, quests worked just fine before they took the site down to do a code update. Also any smart coder/web designer knows to have a backup so if it doesn't go according to plan they can revert to the backup. Let's not mention having a test site to put the code changes up on to see if they work before implementing them live and finding out OMG the code got screwed up majorly. All this stuff is broke! Panic! <br />
<br />
That is what backups and test sites are for. Sooo you loose a few hours. What's worse loosing a week of being able to do anything on the site vs a few hours.

This is the only time they could of brought them out. Diwali isnt everyday<br />
they look great satff!<br />
good work

Seriously folks, this is a diwali item. Not that I have no idea what that is, but still. Of course it's really stupid that we can't buy them, but I think they did this rather than release them later because, as someone pointed out, diwali is on a special day, and of course the items celebrating it should be released that day. I have no doubt they're working on the code problem either, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon. <br />
<br />
But I admit it hurts badly to see so many good items in stock unable to buy them. Seriously. <br />
<br />
On the other hand, the artists and the programmers doesn't do the same thing, so even if the artists makes new items it doesn't mean no one is working on the problem. :/
0

LeCoeurNoir

why do you release new items when nobody can buy it? wouldn't it have more sense to fix the code-problem first? all this really starts to totally annoy me. <br />
it's always the same. and i always loose days when i activate my GA's just because of the damn quest glitch. luckyly they aren't as expesive as the last month. this would be really dumb. <br />
<br />
now finally something positv: I must say: good job the new items look as nice as always

Sorry just really frustrated =( I love the site and it's my place to go to waste time/get away from RL stress. It's frustrating not being able to do just that. =( I think we all need a cookie Debi? Got anything fun for us ala free gift? lol

Oh it's nice that there are new items but NO ONE can restock! I mean seriously.. Can't do quests they have not reset, can't stock.. can't do much untill all this stuff is fixed.

Allira

Oh is there Cranberry *blushes* - there are too many items for me to learn!! Actually, not being able to buy from the shops but seeing all the items has really helped me work on my wishlist. I'm never quick enough to see the rare things usually <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /><br />
The other good thing is that I'm getting to know more people on the site because we have less to do *hugs forums and shoutbox*<br />
<br />
btw I have the poppy hat!<br />
*wanders off to see about buying a poppy for tomorrow*
0

MarchOnOff

faegrrrl I'm with you 100% and you should not be warned for telling the truth!
0

Cranberry

Allira, there actually is a wearable red poppy... it's called poppy pin. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> There's also the poppy bonnet for Remembrance Day.
0

Allira

That would be great if we could celebrate holidays and special events from all over the world! Just a token shop item or something (don't want to overload the artists). A wearable red poppy for rememberance day (tomorrow) for instance (lol and I know it's too late now <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /> ). I'd never heard of diwali but now I've read up on it thanks to Subeta.<br />
Actually I can't think of any holidays/festivals Australia has which are unique (except Australia day)
0

missatralissa

oh god diyas and ladoo!!!! I NEED THEM ALL!! (i have to add a India section to my asian gallery now that there are enough items on here!) i hope we can have items for holi next year!!

If there is a particular holiday that you'd like to see items for on the site, just mail me at least two weeks prior to the holiday, tell me what it is and a little about it, and suggest a few items that would be appropriate for it. If the artists aren't working on any other major projects then I can pass the information along; even if they are I can generally at least request a Trivia prize or a token Shop item for it. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
0

Nostalgia_507

Hmm, I know by now the staff is getting flamed and such because the shops arenot working. I am kind of upset also that they release more items that you cant RS but only ge tthem from the machines. I cant even get the spell items i want because of this glitch...

What do you suggest we do to help?
0

i think that we all know that we are all upset at this point, but maybe we should start asking if there is anything we could do to help? besides pointing the finger and blaming them. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Oooooo, I LOVE the little candle lamp thingies. Those are really pretty.<br />
<br />
I'm as upset as anyone at the site being "glitched" more than it is not "glitched". I'm surprised that people choose to pay money that are supposed to help sites. The only thing I have seen consistantly is that the lag is sometimes better.<br />
<br />
<br />
I honestly don't feel that I can express that without fear of a warning. A LOT of you have written to me off site and told me that you keep your mouths shut because you don't want to get warnings and such. <br />
<br />
I love this site too. I'm just aggravated too and have a right to allow my thoughts on the situation to be seen and heard.<br />
<br />

Cool holiday even though I don't celebrate it. Will we be seeing other holidays or festivals from other countries too? Like Tanabata (Star Festival)?

I love the items! I've never heard of this holiday before. ^-^;;; I'll lookie it up later. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
I know everybody is fusturated from the glitches but now people are arguing/leaving/being more jerky then usual... <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
Okay okay, I admit, I was pretty angry with the glitches too, but we got to give the programmers a break! I'm sure they're not just ignoring us and Subeta isn't their life either, they want/need to do other things too!<br />
<br />
BUT I still want to thank them for trying to update the server! True, there's a lot of glitches and lag, but I still like this site very much and so I thank the staff/programmers/keith for trying to make this site better/awesome. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
I'm NOT asking you guys that are upset to shut up! That's mean and the last thing I want to do! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
I just hope all of you guys will feel better and be happy (and the arguing will stop) once the hard working programmers fix the server! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" />
0

Naija

Thumbs up to the staff for think about those that celebrate Diwali! I don't but my bosses do and I think its really cool of the staff to think of everyone out there. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> Yay for inclusiveness! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" />
0

DebiLee

The way that I also read that post, yes, Flit was being sarcastic. Even if the shop codes were working it still takes a bit of time for new items to actually stock in the shops. But, as Rustyblu said, they would still be available from quests and Vending Machines, and probably the trash can, too.
0

Saturndjinni

How DARE anyone ever criticize ANYTHING, because that's OMG MEEN!!<br />
<br />
People don't complain just because they're jerks, they complain because they care about the site and really want it to be the best that it can be. Honestly, I love Subeta, but it's been so glitchy and frustrating lately that I just don't have the motivation to do ANYTHING here until it all gets resolved. I just want to be able to enjoy the site, without having to worry about glitches and possibly losing items/sp due to something out of my control.<br />
<br />
And yes, I know the programmers are working to resolve all this, but there's nothing wrong with a little semi-anonymous public venting now, is there? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
Eh, just my $0.02, take it or leave it...<br />
<br />
As for the items, quite lovely indeed! Honestly, I'm not angry at all about them being released while the shops are still broken - they were probably drawn/prepared well in advance after all, and being seasonal items they had to be released when they were, anyway <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif" border="0" />
0

Sol_235

eek. Nice items, too bad so many people got all worked up over other issues. x) Ah well, everyone has their own way of expressing frustration. ^.^
0

henRi

Wow, great job on the items artists! I love the Matki Diyas. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> I'm going to rs as many of them as I can as soon as the glitch is fixed.<br />
<br />
And Flit, you're going a bit radical with your comment there.
0

Lilysparkle

I thought Flit was being sillysarcastic? I read it wrong, I guess!<br />
<br />
Anyway, everyone have a sweet Diwali. ^^
0

Rusty

Quit flaming Debi <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /> You can still vend these remember!
0

DebiLee

When the artists started drawing these beautiful new items for this specific holiday, they had absolutely no way of knowing in advance that the shop codes would be broken now. It's not like they draw the items for a holiday on that specific day; they're generally drawn well in advance in preparation for special events and holidays. It would have been disrespecting them and their efforts, as well as not acknowledging the day, to have simply not released them at all. It was in no way ever intended in a taunting fashion, but rather to acknowledge a day of great importance to some of our users.
0

Xuanmeng

That's nice. Does that mean we can actually buy the damn things now?
0

Allira

The items ARE pretty and the artists as usual, have done a wonderful job. They've come up with special things for special occasions. The shops being broken doesn't take anything away from this fact.<br />
Lol next time I would suggest a note in the news post saying that even though people can't buy the items just yet, you've released them today since today is Diwali. Then at least people will (hopefully) understand that you are NOT taunting them with things they can't have.<br />
<br />
re the site being "free" - it's my understanding that although paying isn't compulsory Keith does actually rely on cash payments to keep the site going since it has no sponsors. Therefore the old "don't complain since it's free" argument doesn't appear to apply in this case. If none of us paid, Subeta would not exist and when people have paid real money they will always expect a certain standard of product. This is natural and very reasonable.<br />
I am quite prepared to be patient and allow the programmers time to do whatever it is they need to get the site running the way it should. The only thing I ask is to be kept informed. News posts letting me know what is being fixed and how it's going, unexpected problems, estimated time frames etc. I understand you need time, and patience etc on OUR part. It is the lack of contact with those whos job it is to fix the site which honestly I find the most frustrating.

KEN

Well, to keep things upbeat and positive, I actually want to try this Badam Barfi item in real life.<br />

<br />
Don't I? I mean, to get the /best/ features out of a site, I have to pay. Although at this rate, none of the pay features are really working, so I suppose I'll let my GA expire and sit things out.<br />
<br />
This is probably my favourite gaming site. That's why it saddens me so. Otherwise, what reason whould I have to complain? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
0

JESSYTA

Flit, has it not occured to you that some people are complaining because they DO like SUbeta.. Well, the way Subeta is when it works? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif" border="0" /> <br />
<br />
If people didn't liek the site, they wouldn't visit it anymore. Just because someone chooses to express their frusteration doesn't mean they dislike the site...
0

KlaatuWolf

Flit, I'll complain all I want to because first off, I can. And second of all, because I do happen to like playing on Subeta, but it's frustrating as hell to come here and not be able to do much more than look at pretty pictures. If I wanted to do that, there are plenty of art sites out there that I could be spending time on instead of here. And to those of you berating the complainers saying we shouldn't be blaming the artists for the glitches, we aren't. We're blaming the powers that be for continuing to post new content/items when the site is as glitchy as it is and the content can't be accessed. A simple note saying that new item releases and new content will be suspended till the glitches are fixed would soothe a lot of irritated nerves.

OOO more goodies to collect...Awesome art work. I love subeta I love new items and great items at that *jumps up and down for joy*

Talk about drama..<br />
<br />
Flit that is a very radical thing to say. The site isnt perfect, most things aren't, but we have to deal with that.<br />
<br />
Am I happy that I can't access the forums or trades because I have a microsoft-loving-firefox-hating computer? No. <br />
<br />
Was I upset when my GA was dead and I went from a 3-4 page shop to over 10 pages? Of course. <br />
<br />
Am I willing to visit the site while the issues in the background are being fixed? Yes, I love it here and the people I've met. <br />
<br />
I think it would be unfair to ask us not to complain about things that are happening. When you care about something and worry about whats happen the rational thing to do is complain and try to get it fixed, granted some do take it to an extreme.<br />
<br />
-----<br />
<br />
We all would like an estimated time to when things will be back to "normal" but really that isnt logical and then wed all just be upset if that date and time weren't met. They are trying their best so give them time. Sending hundreds of smails, countless forums and thousands of rude comments for them to respond to isn't helping the situation.
0

Cranberry

Flit, people complain because they do care. If we didn't like Subeta, we wouldn't play it -- we're not masochists. I see a similar argument on TV show forums a lot -- "If you don't like this character/this episode/this story arc, then you obviously hate the show, so stop watching!" It just doesn't work that way. You can like something, or even love something, and not love every aspect of it. Telling people to quit a site because they're frustrated with glitches is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
0

Tinuvel

Flit, there are most of us who love this site how it is, but the few that complain are the loudest. How insulting for you to say something like that. Don't generalize the populace of subeta unless you include yourself in it.
0

Tinuvel

*mutters grimly about item codes, refrains from ranting*<br />
<br />
LOVE the new items. :3 What a nice holiday! I'll add it to my list. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" />
0

User not found:

I'd like to suggest to the staff that Subeta be taken down completely and permanently. Clearly, the people that it's being provided for don't *like* it, so why go to the effort of giving someone a gift that they'll just complain isn't good enough? Especially because as the past has proven, it's not good enough, even when there aren't glitches. Therefore, might as well just cal it quits, right?

I also did not know what Diwali was. Thank you again Google and Wikipedia: The festival marks the victory of good over evil, and uplifting of spiritual darkness. Something that should be celebrated certainly! Thank you for the new items that commemorate this festive holiday. I am sad I can not restock them. I want a new festival that will mark the victory of fixed coding and the uplifting of restockers hearts =D
0

The new items look great. But I really don't understand why they were released when you can't even restock. =/

RainOfStars, the wizard no longer gives out items.<br />

I hope when the quests are tweaked again, that's changed. But that is a whole other argument <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> So if you want to get one of the pretty candles, I guess the cranes are your only option for now (or I guess the other quests if you hadn't done them in the past two days).

Before now, I had never heard of Diwali. I looked it up on Wikipedia and read a little about it. Thanks Subeta! You learn something new every day <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> The items are beautiful too. Even though the shops are down we could still probably get them from the claw machines and the Wizard, right? So the announcement really isn't pointless <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /> I'm sure everything will be fixed soon.

Darling

I strongly feel that you guys, who support the site with your time, if not your money, deserve the right to complain when things aren't working. Leaving the site up isn't going to satisfy everyone, and neither is taking the site down, so you can't really expect everyone to be contented by the mere fact that it's up. It's true; things aren't working, and it's irritating. I don't blame anyone for complaining. Heck, as a user, it's just as annoying for me.<br />
However, it's just a tad frustrating when the complaints are directed at those who are helpless to do anything to make things better. You might not agree that releasing these items on the appropriate celebration date was a better decision than waiting a week or so, but I think a few people are getting a smidge passionate in their criticisms.<br />
Anyway, happy Diwali? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy_sweatdrop.gif" border="0" />

Those complaining about the complainers sound just as whiny themselves. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" />

I don't appreciate being referred to as "immature" because I dare to complain about something. I complain about things I care about because I want them to be better. If other people are content to praise every decision the staff makes and wait patiently, without complaint, for major glitches to be remedied, that's fine. I don't mind. But don't tell me what I should think or what I should say.

i was wondering about the shops i havent been able to make any purchases for three days

Kudos to releasing items for Diwali! Even if it's frustrating that we can't buy them, I appreciate that they were released on the right day. *wonders if there might be a new free gift too?* We had a big celebration at work today (I have a lot of Indian co-workers... seriously yummy treats! - including the barfi that the artists made... mmmmm cardamon).<br />
<br />
It is frustrating to have the site so buggy though. Honestly, if it meant the programmers could get the fixes done faster, I'd rather the site was down entirely (*is a programmer, has been there*).
0

User not found:

Perhaps taking it down wouldn't help? I think it's silly of us to presume what the programmers should or should not be doing right now since as users we really don't know what is necessary to fix the bugs.
0

nmagelet

It has been repeated many times why certain glitches are not being worked on right now. I'm not sure how many more times do we have to repeat this before it leaves any impression on you x)<br />
<br />
Where? I have yet to see any of these. And this sounds snotty, but I'm actually asking because I'd love to know what's going on. Everything seems to be hearsay or else everyone is going on about how the staff doesn't care, isn't working on it, yadda yadda. Which I'm assuming just isn't true <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
0

METROID

Complaining and being down-right snotty about the glitches isn't going to fix them. =/<br />
<br />
And although I've never heard of Diwali, I love the new items! ^^

And honestly - that was really just to the RUDE complainers.

<br />
I don't know why they don't just take the site down for a day or two, halt work on the recode, and get the site in working order. Fix your mile long list of glitches /then/ get back to making the site prettier. <br />
<br />
Though once the site does get this so called miracle recode, I can almost guarantee that it will still be running like crap and new glitches will be just a click away.<br />
<br />
I love Subeta I really do. But all these nonstop glitches are enough to wear even the most patient person down.
0

accursedx

ok, an idea for IE users that i've discovered (despite primarily using firefox) - if you want/need to use trades or forums, it seems to work if you right click and open the link in a new window (worked for me in trades at least)... it might be a roundabout way, and unnecessary effort, but hey, if it works *shrug*
0

Bagheera23608

sheesh - *shudders* I wondered what all the comments were about. What can I, as a patient and happy Subetian, do to make other, less impatient and most importantly, rude, Subetians better behaved and mature individuals? Hmmmmm - (say in best angry Dad in the front seat of the car voice) "Don't MAKE me take this site completely down. I WILL do it if I hear one more complaint!!!!" <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" />

0

Seerow

Ehh Spiked, the staff never really give us updates, at least not official ones in the news that let everyone know. They seem to like posting glitches in the forums now, which most of us can't even access right now anyway.<br />
<br />
Like many of you, I'm frustrated with the release of new items when you can't actually buy them. Really, I don't see the point. True you can vend, but since quests haven't reset for over going on two days now, a lot of people don't have extra tokens to waste trying to get one of these.<br />
<br />
While new items are appreciated, and I love love love the candles, I just don't see the point of releasing these when the site is broken. Maybe one of these could have been released in the Token Shop and another as a free gift, then once the site was actually working the other colors of these could have been released?
0

Cranberry

I think I must have missed all the updates about why quests, shops, forums, trades, and the HA system are broken, Spiked, and when they'll be fixed. Are they in the announcements forum? Because I'm using IE and I get blank pages in the forums. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" />

Pardon me, artists? Yes, we would like you to completely stop doing all the hard work you've been doing on the new items and sit around with your thumbs up your collective... ahem... and not do anything until the bugs are fixed! Furthermore, we are all aware of your vicious plot to torture us with the afore mentioned new items, and we demand as payment for your cruelty that you immediately all learn programming and fix the site of all bugs in the bug database within the next 45 minutes. Or at least the shop bug, then maybe we'll quite our griping for a few hours. If you're lucky. Sincerely, the ungrateful Subetans.<br />
<br />
(end sarcasm)

How lovely! My next-door neighbours are celebrating Diwali tonight. I hope they bring over some leftovers. ^^
0

Imperfection

Wow, all of these items are really pretty<img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" />
0

Scar

Pretty items. I love all of the cultural items.<br />
<br />
Also, may I say this:<br />
Everyone who is complaining about the site glitches need to be happy that the site is actually up and working so the staff can give us updates as they go. They could just put it 'down for maintinence' until it's all fixed. But, eh, everyone would complain about that, too.
0

KEN

I'd, you know, vend, if Quests were working so that I'd be able to obtain Tokens. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" /><br />
<br />
It's like the environment. Everything has an impact on everything else.
0

Rainchan

Adding more items to the site does not increase the amount of work required to fix the shops. Items are artists' jobs, fixing the shops is programmers' jobs. Nagging at those who cannot do a thing about the problem is quite inefficient.<br />
<br />
new items can still be released through vending machines, unless of course you don't want that either.<br />
<br />
It has been repeated many times why certain glitches are not being worked on right now. I'm not sure how many more times do we have to repeat this before it leaves any impression on you x)<br />
<br />
Lastly, I'm not sure if any of you remember that most of staff also play the site, and maybe you will feel better to know that the same glitches annoy us as much as they annoy you.

oh... now that's just mean... T.T *grabbypaws*
0

Mythica_115

Mhmm. Because the staff totally wakes up every morning and immediately gets to work trying to invent new ways of taunting and torturing the users. xD<br />
<br />
I just think it's a bit unfortunate that people like Philosofish, who a day or two ago realised Diwali was coming up, hastily tried to get a few of we fellow staff artists to whip up some pretty new items to acknowledge a holiday that is celebrated by millions around the world, have their good-natured gesture clouded by whining over completely unrelated issues that are most certainly not her fault, and that she is not responsible/able to fix.
0

Pretty items.. Happy Diwali everyone! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" />
0

Nocturna_965

wow i didn't think so many people knew this holiday. ^^ happy divali
0

BlueGreenGrey

Yeah, it's frustrating. I keep peeking in shops and seeing lovely UBs and WL stuffies just *sitting* there, and I'm like.. GRRRR! <br /><br /> And it's a terrible tease to see all these beautiful new lamps and not be able to have them yet, but I'm glad they were released for this very beautiful and happy Divali holiday, and not just saved for a later and very inappropriate date. <br /><br />As for after Halloween goodies... they released things like Leftover Peanut Butter Candies - which is actually a very common Real Life occurence and I thought it was hilariously appropriate to release items like that *after* Halloween.
0

Arayus

I agree with you Adi. I've been reading some of the comments on here and the majority of them are down right rude. <.<; Its a site. I'm sure the programmers are trying their best to get things in order. Until that happens just go out in the fresh air or do something else productive. ._.
0

Cranberry

We all probably wouldn't be so annoyed by this normally, but right now Subeta is still randomly laggy despite the hardware upgrades, some peoples' GAs are expiring after a day instead of a month, quests haven't reset for two days, code words in shops haven't shown up for three days, HA deletion/remaking and pet training still take a few moments to register (plus the wardrobe stops working in IE randomly), and people using IE can't read the forums or use trades. The bug reports list is a mile long. I'm sure you can see why people are unhappy with Subeta right now.
0

starrynight

Jeez, I hate how these items just sit there, taunting me; I can hear their cackling.
0

Kamerynn

No, I don't think we want the complete site to come to a standstill... but it's kind of like waking up on Christmas morning, seeing tons of wonderful wrapped packages, but all you can do is stare at them... and stare at them some more, because you aren't allowed to open a one <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" />
0

adi_663

Wow, I kind of wonder why people feel the need to point out in a not too polite way "Too bad we can't BUY THEM" again after about 50 people have already said it just before them.. if you're gonna be all mean and rude, don't do it if everyone else already did it before you, there's nothing special about it and it's just offending.
0

Darling

It's true that leftover Halloween items were released after Halloween, but Halloween items had been released continuously throughout the month of October, and certainly got more than its fair share of mention. I don't think it's fair to compare that with a holiday that didn't get any mention prior to today.
0

BlueGreenGrey

If it wasn't so ridiculous, I'd be laughing. I understand frustration, but come on. People keep forgetting that Artists and Programmers have totally different jobs. Perhaps some people would be happier if the site just completely shut down for days so the glitches could be worked on in peace. But not me, definitely not me. I'll take my Subeta any way I can get it, thankyouverymuch. <br /><br />Personally, I *love* the new items (FABOO art!!) and I shall start buying them up as soon as I am able to, but will sit tight and wait for that time. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
0

Mythica_115

.. But I suppose if you guys'd prefer, absolutely every aspect of the site could come to an absolute standstill. xD
0

Mythica_115

OHMYGOSH. THOSE FOODS MAKE ME SO FREAKING HUNGRY. xD .. Um. And. The staff artist department has absolutely nothing to do with fixing glitches and bugs in programming; the vast majority of us are completely clueless when it comes to code. We're not going to stop doing our work because there are a few somewhat urgent problems being worked on by other departments, that are taking a little longer to fix than originally thought. Most festival/holiday themed items take quite a while to get retired after the holiday has come to an end, so I'm sure the Diwali items won't be retired for ages yet. :3 You'll all get a chance to acquire them, don't fret. :3
0

iGetThePoint

Great! Now it would be nice if you could FIX the shops already so we can actually buy stuff. This is getting ridiculous. SERIOUSLY!
0

Philosofish, they released many late items for other Holidays, like the random Halloween stuff they stocked in the shops AFTER Halloween was over.
0

Great! Now why don't you fix the shops so we can actually BUY them?

0

Natsu_792

Oh that's great.<br />
<br />
Now only if the Validation codes worked..
0

Well... it's not as if Diwali can be celebrated every day. It's either release the items now, or release them on an inappropriate date. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_xface.gif" border="0" />
0

Yay new items... maybe It'd be better if the shops were fixed first xD Don't get me wrong, but it's kinda useless for the moment.

If only we could actually BUY them..
0

LazyKat

Remember guys, the drawing and releasing of new items is handled by a different department than those that fix things (or at least the drawing, but the releasing takes all of 5 minutes I would think to put them in the database).<br />
<br />
I'm sure they only released them today because it wouldn't make sense to release them at a later date, and they were planning this before these glitches came up.<br />
<br />
I agree it's a tease, though XD
0

Merry

I love how you guys acknowlege other cultures and their holidays too c: Now I'm curious about what Diwali is. *skips off to look it up*<br />
<br />
And all you guys complaining about not being able to buy stuff - get over it, they're pixels. The staff has a lot to do, and I'm sure they don't appreciate it when they do something nice and all they get back is a bunch of gripes about "Why haven't you fixed the shops yet?!?!" I'm sure they'll be back to normal in a few days, but the point of releasing the items isn't to laugh at you for not being able to buy them, it's to celebrate a holiday.
0

0

Tonks

Nice.... not really... we can't buy them...
0

Ashei

Aww. I really want one of those gorgeous lamps, but the shop codes have been busted for days.... <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" /> And why bother releasing new items when we can't even buy them?!
0

Sekhmet

Oooh, more cultural items = LOVE. But where are the freaking programmers to fix the restocking code thing?
0

Templar

Is there a true point to releasing new items? This is seriously not making anyone like the people incharge of fixing things any more than they already do. I understand that you all do a lot of work, but still.... Isn't it just adding more to your own workload by adding more items that will be glitched?
0

Lillith_Faire

They are beautiful. I wish we could buy them <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" />

Aren't we going on three days of no restocking, now?
0

User not found:

It's a bit of a insult to injury (adding in awesome items we can't restock) but I'm sure their reasoning for it was that Diwali is today, and that it would make no sense releasing them afterwards. I'm thankful that Subeta is culturally geared and can celebrate something I had no idea existed, but can appreciate.
0

You have got to be kidding...
