I was an utter disbelief when I learned of his passing. I hoped it was another internet hoax. He has always been one of my favorites, and always will be. I have never felt such strong grief with the passing of a celebrity, and I cannot help but tear up every time he is mentioned. I was hesitant to watch his new video yesterday but I gave in and watched it; and I was a wreck the entire day.
David Bowie will be king. He will be a hero. For more than just one day. Forever and ever.
Rest in peace, David. You are loved and heart-achingly missed. The stars will move for only you and they will not stop. Keep on dancing the blues and swaying through the crowds.

I don't usually feel a genuine sadness with the death of most celebrities, but this one I do. His music was an inspiration to me, and some of his songs helped me through a very dark time in my life. He will be deeply missed.
I can't stop crying, I find I need to remind myself at random times throughout the day that he is gone.

Seen so many nice tributes already. I can't add much. He was prevalent throughout my growing up and never was irrelevant in my time. Was always larger than life, but knowing how good a person he was is heartwarming. 69's not enough, but it'll have to do. Thanks for it all, Zig.
I can hardly believe he's gone.He just turned 69,one year older than my mom.I was in shock when the classical station I had it on,had announced he had passed away.We also just lost Lemmy.There were some on the web that were hoping that it was a hoax.But it turned out not to be. RIP David Bowie.Its a real dark day in the rock world today.

I was truly shocked this morning when I read the news, but I'm glad he was surrounded by family when he did. My husband was highly influenced by Bowie and his music. His life and death will be a big memory and a continued influence for this household. Thank you, Bowie! <3

I have to say, hearing about his passing this morning hurt almost as badly as when Robin Williams died...those two are the only celebrity deaths that hit me quite this hard...his wife and family must be absolutely devastated. Thank you for this beautiful tribute.

much sad, such tribute, wow..having grown up listening to a lot of his music, elvis and bands like pink floyd, etc..this one hit home..I watched the video for lazarus last night after finding out..and thought it was somewhat ironic that it was released 3 days before he passed. now him and mercury can continue making amazing new songs.

I was really broken up about it this morning. But I'm ok now. Thanks for adding this tribute to Bowie on site. I just knew staff wasn't gonna release one for Lemmy but I'm glad you guys like Bowie as much as I do. Time to take as many shots as there is the word MAN in Suffragette City ;) Cheers Bowie! One of my favorite songs, especially with the cover that astronaut Chris Hadfield recorded for ending his time aboard the International Space Station. David Bowie himself found that version to be very poignant. and brought his lawyers in to hammer out an agreement to let the song and video stay on Youtube until late 2016. A wonderful man.
