Reminder: Farewell to Cults!
This is your official reminder that we will be retiring Cults from the site tomorrow, January 1st. We do not have an exact time for removal yet, so please take this one last opportunity today to say goodbye. We look forward to being able to add new features to the forums to allow you and your friends to interact in fun and interesting ways. Here's to a fresh start in 2017!

Used to be in one, but haven't thought of it since I left. Can't say I'll miss them much, but I guess they did serve a purpose at the time.

Honestly, not really a forum person anyway and cults haven't been utilized in ages. It would be cool if we could have a club area where you can join if you have related interests..and able to join more than one. Forums are impersonal.

Nothing is going on with groups, only cults are being deleted as they are outdated, broken and they have 0 plans to replace them. Now you can convert your cult into a group and use the forums to make a new home for them.

Oh goodness I wish I had known about this earlier, lmao. A year's worth of role-play from my formerly-Neopets, currently-Jcink site are on here during our brief stay, ha! I'd have saved all of our records if I could. Too late now. ;o;

Was there ever anything said about what will happen to the cults subforum? I'm curious if that's going as well or if that will be staying.

They were similar to CLUBS in my opinion and I wish something similar could be added to our site in the future --a club like feature where people could join a gather a CLUB of their choice. Just an idea. Thanks for the heads up too.

Forum group probably. There's a forum group bank option in forum groups and some cults, like the one I'm in had more or less moved everything to forum groups a long time ago because of how broken cults were.

I assume the ping groups from the cult will be still working. Just the actual cult forum area will be gone.

Haven't been in a cult for at least 4 years. They were fun and had a purpose. Met a lot of great people.
