End of Vesnali

Vesnali has officially ended, which means flowers will no longer float around the site or be given out from Cinthia and Cursed quests. Alexander has also stopped giving out old Vesnali restockables. The Vesnali Forums will be closing today at 11:59pm.

Though it’s been cleared out, you can still visit the reception hall to sign the guest book, donate to one (or all) of the charities, and grab cake until 11:59pm on May 29th!

@Amber I'm sorry for complaining about something so petty ;; Perhaps it could be moved to display across the top of the news page rather than on the side? That way maybe it would be more noticeable? I don't know ;w; Sorry again! I'm just really scatterbrained and don't remember things very well and I guess things always sneak up on me unless I get someone/thing telling me 'Hey, this is about to happen/end/etc' haha

I'd honestly love it if Vesnali could last for another week; it always feels so short! But I also enjoy Vesnali and collecting flowers so I'm biased. Just a suggestion!
I wish I could've been more active during the weekend for the wedding itself BUT it was great! Loved celebrating a wedding in general. Now it's time to take bets on who will be getting married next...:P

@Ray It's a new system we're trying out, I really thought having the retirement date on the news the entire time would be enough for people. :) I'll try to find a good balance for the next event.

@Amber I understand it was on the front page the entire time, but it's not visible (for me at least) from the top of the page without scrolling down. My main issue is it's no where near as good as a news article alerting you to it- if you see a new news post, you immediately read it, so I always found that the best way to get notified of it. Will there ever be an option to perhaps an optional alert that will let you know a day before the event ends?

@lovecraft @Poet @Canidae We had the end of Vesnali under the ‘Upcoming’ section on the news the entire holiday.

@Ray We’ve generally done a heads up in the past, especially when we lower wait time or increase something. This year, with quests and floating flowers giving out a lot, we didn’t lower/increase anything. We also had the time that Vesnali would end on the news page the entire time.

With such a big break between Ves and the next holiday it would be rad if it was longer

The Vesnali end date was up there since it started. I know it's a new feature and will take some getting used to, but it's there!

Can we maybe get a day-before warning for events and stuff more often? I know it's stupid but coming from another country that's a day early I always mess up and it's super frustrating because I have a bunch of random stuff leftover that I can't use? ;w;

I was kinda sad no reminder that it was coming to an end like normal. Lucky I remembered and b was able to get rid of my flowers to people.

@Edinburgh Floating items all use the same code, so during holidays whatever has a chance at floating (in this case flowers and birds), they're both competing to show up.

Hey @Amber, kind of a weird thing I noticed this Vesnali - I checked in with Rosemary to find a bird a few days ago, but it never did appear, even after days. Yet tonight, it immediately showed up once Vesnali was over. So it's like the floating birds don't show up when the flowers are floating? Now I don't know that it's not supposed to be that way, but I thought I'd mention it! :)

@Ferinsy Yeah, it's not a code issue. It's the servers not all on the same page! So the pushes I made, some of the servers have it and some don't. :) Like I said, working on it!

@Amber Oh, it seems to be a code related issue. First, I was at an empty room. Clicked on the cake, it didn't worked. Reloaded the page, full room. Clicked at the cake again, reloaded and it's empty. It keeps on doing that.

Why you gotta take away the floating flowers event ;-; I didn't want it to end. I never do tho.
Plus I'm a sloppy drunk- and I broke a computer today. Damn electrical surge.
