@Cassandra the simple fact that you’ve retreated behind “waaa it’s my opinion” and then resorted to calling Burton a self serving arsehole just sent my and probably most others estimation of your maturity plummeting into the lowest circle of hell. Quite honestly, yes go ahead and post your opinion, but please don’t think that means you’re free from people responding. I thought long and hard about it too and it turns out you’re just incredibly hypocritical. And since you seem to avoid being called out, where’s the work you’ve done in your pets? They seem, well, strangely empty? ?

Second. @Cassandra, I am not sure where you've been but pet spotlight pretty much has always had some sort of collaboration between users. Most people don't possess every skill needed to make a great looking pet profile. Also, just because they had other people's help does not mean they spent money. For all you know they could all be friends wanting to help. Assuming things and making rude comments just makes you look bad, not them.

@Cassandra: Most pet profiles have been a team effort for years now, if not for the entirety of the Pet Spotlight's existence. Many artists / coders also make extra money, or even a living, off of doing work for others concerning the pet Spotlight. It's hardly a new feature; in fact, it's practically a given. I'm a writer, and I myself have paid commissioners to assist me with coding, profile work, art, etc...because I am not trained in these areas. I don't think it's right, or fair, to expect one person to be able to do absolutely all of the work when it comes to a great pet profile.

First of all, these ideas that everything needs to be done by one person need to stop. Why are we a community if we cannot share what we want, like, and are passionate about? Why can't someone with an amazing vision, but not the tools to execute it the way they envisioned it, ask someone for help?
How do you know they didn't draw nearly everything up and then just ask for some touch ups?
Do you not read books or credit the author because the authors have editors, or buy clothes because the company that sells them didn't put it together?
This is silly. Especially coming from someone who seems to have put little to no effort into their own pets.

@Cassandra Lots of people save sP over long periods of time for a setup like this one. They earn by playing games, restocking from NPC shops, sell their own skills to other players, sell items from events...
CSC doesn't even have to be bought with real money. I have almost 4k CSC from going to the Bath House and any other ways CSC is given freely to players. As far as I know, only a small amount of my CSC was ever bought with real money during a Cyber Monday event.

This pet makes me both super happy and super jealous. Amazing. Also, my Oziana pets all approve of the reference. Especially Kabumpo who aspires to join a circus one day. :)

Not everyone is amazing at every aspect of creating a well balanced and nice pet profile. The owner still has to be the one to come up with the concept and the heart of the pet, along with putting everything together to create one cohesive piece. In Alphys' case they did the overlay, had a strong TC theme and came up with the overall theme and story behind this pet. Plus not everything needs to be bought, there can be exchanges where you swap talents with others. Everyone has different strengths. Didn't sound like very constructive criticism, if you have issues with how the spotlight gets done, do what Kes said and make suggestions rather than make snide comments like that and ruin their moment.

They drew the overlay, created the character and I can only assume they gave everyone else involved some direction about what they wanted. Do you also think it's a pity that movies have directors when they're not the ones writing the script or creating the effects?
This isn't the place the rain on someone's parade, maybe you should make a suggestion board or something if you think things should work differently with the spotlight.
