Aries is a thin, fragile-looking boy with an elegant-looking face that stands at about six feet tall. He has shaggy black hair, red eyes, and thick black ram's horns that curl against the sides of his head. When he's allowed to dress on his own terms he's typically in a simple black robe and sandals, but otherwise he is adorned in heavy metallic jewelry and gaudy clothing. He is always wearing one gold ring through his septum.
He's named after the war god Ares, as he was born into a Greco-Roman revival cult during what was considered a "sacred" alignment of the stars. Because of his birth-time, he was expected to play host to his namesake and work as a human vessel to the god, channeling finesse for violence. Unfortunately for Aries, he isn't really the avatar for ... anything. He's simply an awkward boy who likes tea, crafting, and would much rather be a quiet scholar in the shadows than be regarded as a god and pampered.
Considering the cult he was raised in is extremely exclusive, he's a bit socially hindered and sheltered in general. He knows gobs and gobs of information he's picked up from practically living in his private library, but can barely hold a conversation without shaking or stuttering. This doesn't mean he shuns companionship - in fact, it's quite the opposite; he desperately wants someone to regard him as an equal rather than a higher-up.
His closest friend is a small white wolf pup he affectionately dubbed Remus.
