The Cracked Egg

Born from the love of the farm fresh eggs his family received from his neighbor while growing up. When Benji moved out and bought his own home, he got some chickens to have his own egg supply. Maybe he had picked up too many chickens; his fridge was overflowing with eggs. Benji experimented with the other dairy and ingredients he had, and began coming up with some tasty dishes. Every main dish on the menu is egg-based.

Work Life

Benji stepped through the doors of The Cracked Egg as the clock started clucking. 6 AM. He preferred to arrive fifteen minutes before opening, to start the coffee, but his alarm clock had died during the night. No customers yet; wouldn't be for a few minutes. Picking up a stray napkin from the ground, he strolled into the kitchen.

"Wow, Ben, late today?" his co-worker, River, teased; nudging him with their elbow. "I had to make the coffee all by myself." Benji chuckled.
"Hey, technically I'm still on time, but my alarm clock wasn't!" Benji shot back.

He glanced over at the booths. Dalten had arrived, and already had his nose in the menu, narrowing down when he'd eat today. Their most loyal customer, practically kept the restaurant running, Benji joked sometimes. Benji looked around for Tates, their server, and found him refilling the candy dish.

"Tates, get out there! Don't keep our best customer waiting."

The Cracked Egg Team

River

River was actually the one to suggest I open a restaurant. I roped them in to working with me. They are an excellent Chef and Barista. Couldn't run this place without them! Their partner runs a farm stand, and they supply our fresh fruits and veggies.

Tates

Tates is our beloved Server, here at The Cracked Egg. His infectious bubbly personality also livens up the place. He may get a little too chatty with the customers at times, but Tates is a hard worker.
