La fouine the Ghost Story

The Leandre's project - an interactive profile where YOU solve the case :

3 rooms : one with Leandre, La Fouine and suspects, the room of the crime scene, and a room (Library ?) with Leandre and La Fouine sitting in armchairs waiting for you to tell you the crime solution. Fully interactive profile : mini-story for each character at clicking, map of relations between each other (in La Fouine's hand), clues obtainables at clicking on various objects in the crime scene. In the "mini-profiles" give the ability to ask one question. Reading other pets' profiles may help to solve the riddle quicker.

When the profile is finished, only the first 2 rooms will be accessible. The profile will be uploaded all at once and a board will be made to make people participate and prizes to win for people who figure out who the murderer is. At the end of the "game", the third room will be coded with the solution and prizes will be given.

People needed : proofreaders, artists, testers.

Backgrounds : a cozy lounge with comfortable armchairs, an old dancing room with a billard table, a library with a bay-window.

Background story :

Leandre is a private investigator. With the help of La Fouine, they make a team particularly good at solving frauds and murders. He learnt to use weapons at the police school. He used to be a DI but was fired after a case ruined his reputation. Well in fact he wasn't a very "clean" cop. His hobbies are fencing and playing the cello. He can't live without a good baguette. He is a carnivore but tends to eat less meat when he is depressed. He and La Fouine live in the same house : he owns the ground floor whereas La Fouine owns the first floor. When they have a hard time with a case, La Fouine goes downstairs to arrange the archives room while Leandre gaze at his koi fish. La Fouine has an extraordinary memory. He is also good at finding links between cases. His hobbies are playing music (he is good at several instruments) and classify files. He can't live without cheese. If there wasn't his addiction to cheese he would be a vegetarian. When depressed he develops a craving for salad. La Fouine and Leandre met at a crime scene, in a case where La Fouine was the main suspect. It was also their first collaboration. As Leandre grows old, he likes to say he is the head when La Fouine is the legs. Some think it's the contrary, as La Fouine has a good memory and Leandre can still run after the metro when needed.

Current story :

Leandre and La Fouine were invited to a dinner at a house by the Lambailly family as thanking of their involvement in solving their daughter's kidnapping. Also invited are Gauthier, a longtime friend of the family, Caterine, a famous activist, and Georges, a member of the same hunting association as Mr Lambailly. Were also present in the manor that night Anon the gardener, Ignace the chef and Marinette the maid for the regular staff, as well as Solène who was commissioned flower arrangements and stayed because Hippolyte was there too, Hippolyte who was in charge of the pastries.
"We're thirteen in the house tonight", Mrs Lambailly muttered, "what a bad omen...". Alas she was right, and when one of the guests is murdered, they are confronted with a scandalous situation. You are a detective inspector assistant called to the crime scene. Leandre seems to have his idea but you have pride and don't want to listen to an old-school cop suspected of corruption. At least for the moment. Ask questions to the guests, gather clues, and when you have made your own idea, confront it to the solution.

Leandre's inspiration :

Appearance inspired a lot by my favorite cop ever Commissaire Antoine Venturi from the french series Les Bœuf-carottes. Played by Jean Rochefort, he is the archetype of the elegant old-school cop. He is part of the "Police of the polices" (IGS), charged of cases involving members of the police. Their mission is to track down and denounce the drifs of the police. The IGS is sometimes subject to controversy in some affairs involving both politics and the police.
