The name PoKéMoN was derived from Poketto Monsutā, which is where I got my pet name. Nidoking is my favorite of all-time followed by the infamous Pikachu evolution line and Charizard. I have more favorites, so feel free to ask!
The order of release is as follows:
• Games (27 February 1996)
• Original manga (28 February 1996*)
• Trading card game (20 October 1996)
• Anime (1 April 1997).
*The first chapter of the original commissioned PoKéMoN manga was released in the March/April edition of CoroCoro Comic; the full first volume of this manga was released in November of 1996. The author of this manga is Kosaku Anakubo and is often confused with the manga drawn by Toshihiro Ono called The Electric Tale of Pikachu. The latter series draws from the anime which precedes it while Kosaku Anakubo's manga came before the anime.
