Rielle is one of those special pets one can only attain if you've had a meeting with Merana. After that ordeal I found that owning a Hydrus Celinox could be a very enlightening experience. And after several days of silence from him, I realized he was just shy. I wondered if I could coax him out of his shell. I created gourmet meals that would make a king weak in the knees, but still my little Hydrus would not budge from his hiding place. What could I do to make him feel at ease and at home, safe and secure? After many days of patience I drove him down to the sea and we stood on the beach watching the waves. I gathered up seaweed and sand and jars of seawater and carted everything home. Rielle watched with great interest as I built him a colorful peaceful habitat so much like his watery home that he fell right in love with it! He has been a happy pet ever since. He now gobbles up whatever fanciful meal that I whip up in the kitchen with pleasure. We still go to the beach often and collect shells, one of his favorite pastimes.
