This... marked the second time I found myself in a strange new world.

The first was when I was awoken by an old man - not my creator, but another who had found me buried underground. It seemed I had been asleep for 100 years, waiting for the day the world was ready for me. Instead, I was met with a war against humans and Reploids - advanced robots with a sense of free will. My creator wanted me to change the world... but I don't think he knew how difficult it was going to be.

I made many companions along the years, mostly other Reploids who vowed to fight for peace and justice. Then... I watched helplessly as so many of them went Maverick. I couldn't even reason with them anymore. All I could do was terminate them to stop others from getting hurt. I only made it through it all because of my partner, Zero, but even he... no, even now, it's still too painful to remember...

With only my sheer force of will, and holding onto the dream my creator had for me, I confronted the leader of the Mavericks. It took everything I had, but I defeated him. His fortress was set to self-destruct with his death, but my systems were so weak from the battle. I used the last of my strength and warped out, taking a leap of faith and hoping I'd land somewhere safe, but then... I woke up here.

Peka Park, I believe it was called. A few strange creatures prodded at me as I lie on the grass - some were flesh and blood, but others could pass as Reploids themselves. It seemed that I entered a world where a fair number of it's species were animals, ranging from mammalian to reptilian to bizarre creatures I had only heard of in human myths. My body had changed upon my arrival to better blend in with this place, but more importantly... Zero, who I thought I'd never see again, was next to me. He changed quite a bit too, but he was alive! With us together again, I knew I would have no problem handling the situation.

It's peaceful here. This world has it's fair share of evil, but it is leagues away from the war-torn place I come from. But we have to go back. I have to go back. I'm certain that there are still Mavericks out there, picking up the pieces left behind by their fallen leader. I can't let our struggles be for nothing. Until we can figure out a way home, however, Zero and I will vow to defend Subeta just as it was ours. Whether it's Mavericks and rogue Reploids or Dark Matter and cursed monsters, we will always fight for peace and justice.
