In the modern age after graduation it was expected that each of the Velox children would marry into a separate coven. The intention was to join old vampiric families to prevent future discourse between them. Generally half or quarter blood children were given the choice to accept their birthright (or not) after reaching twenty five years of age. Valencia, the eldest Velox child was the first to be married off and ultimately turned against her will by her new husband at an age that was not ideal. Her mental stability was shattered causing her to become violent and unpredictable in her new state.

Vincent being a fiercely protective brother did the only rational thing he could do. After slaying the man who hurt his sister he joined the Church and became a priest. Holy magic being the most efficient magic for destroying undead. Disowning his father who refused to help and devoting his life instead to the destruction of the monsters whose blood he shared, Vincent spiraled into a pit of despair. Drowning his sorrows deep in his addiction to work and the occasional bottle of vodka. Finding brief glimpses of satisfaction in the decimation of each undead creature who crossed his path, but never for long.

It was solitary work though Vincent preferred to be alone. A decade of methodical murder and detailed note keeping would pass before he would stumble into someone who would turn his perspective of the world upside down.

Personality| Moody. Keeps to himself, but when provoked will be very blunt. Oftentimes coming off as a bit rude. Tends to yawn a lot during the day and only really perks up toward the evening. People with high energy exhaust him. Somewhat of a show off. Perfectionist. Tends to rage if he doesn’t get something right the first time. Like with potions… He couldn’t make a decent potion to save his life.

Biography|Born to Validus and Novariel Velox, the second child and only son of the magical family whose lineage can be traced back many generations. More than one ancestor is rumored to be vampiric on his father’s side. The family always knew their children would be accepted into the wizarding school, but were not quiet in their disappointment that Vincent was placed in Ravenclaw and not Slytherin. Valencia his older sister, and perfect Slytherin graduated Hogwarts last term, leaving Vincent feeling somewhat uncomfortable about attending “alone”.
