♡ WHAT'S IN A NAME ♡

♡ As with Chibiusa's name, the word "chibi" means "small", in the sense of "runt" or "squirt".

♡ The phrase "chibi chibi" also idiomatically means "little by little" or "bit by bit".

♡ COSMOS ♡

♡ In the manga, Chibi Chibi is actually Sailor Cosmos, an 'ultimate' form of Sailor Moon from a far distant future.

♡ In her timeline, Cosmos has continually fought against Chaos, but her battle has left her alone, with her loved ones and her world destroyed. Despairing, she travels back to the past, where she takes the form of a little girl and attaches herself to Usagi.

♡ Cosmos' plan is to convince or force Usagi to use the Galaxy Cauldron to destroy the universe, abandoning it and letting everything in it (including herself) be recreated anew; she believes that there is no hope for the universe as it is, with Chaos in it. Usagi, however, refuses to give up, and instead willingly accepts the darkness in the universe that has also been filled with so much light and love.

♡ Inspired by Usagi's courage, Sailor Cosmos returns to her own time, filled with renewed hope and inspiration to keep fighting Chaos.

♡ LIGHT OF HOPE ♡

♡ In the anime, Chibi Chibi is actually Galaxia's star seed (effectively, her soul). Sailor Galaxia, the most powerful Senshi, took Chaos into herself to seal it away. However, she soon realized that she was incapable of imprisoning it, and that it was beginning to corrupt and control her. Before it could do so entirely, she removed her own star seed and sent it out into the universe to find a safe and loving place. This aspect of Galaxia traveled to Earth and to Usagi, and took the form of Chibi Chibi to live on Earth.

♡ Chibi Chibi, filled with Galaxia's apparently limitless power, is supposedly the elusive Light of Hope that is said to be the only thing that can defeat Galaxia.

♡ In Sailor Moon's final battle against Galaxia, Chibi Chibi takes the form of a sword; Galaxia, now fully corrupted into Sailor Chaos, produces a dark mirror of it. Usagi, however, refuses to use the sword against Galaxia after wounding her. Sailor Chaos shatters the sword, apparently killing Chibi Chibi (and therefore, the true form of Galaxia) as she has killed the other Senshi, destroying their bodies and reducing them to star seeds.

♡ When Usagi ultimately heals Galaxia, Chibi Chibi is restored, and the three of them appear together before Chibi Chibi disappears -- this time, out into the universe, as she goes to return the star seeds to their homes before reuniting with Galaxia.

♡ The true Light of Hope is revealed not to be Chibi Chibi's incredible power, but the kindness and hope that exists in all people's hearts, just as Chaos exists in the darkness that everyone has within them.

♡ BITS AND PIECES ♡

♡ Chibi Chibi is often incorrectly thought to be either Chibiusa's future daughter (as Chibiusa is Usagi's) or Usagi and Mamoru's second daughter. In fact, "Chibi Chibi" as such is not a real person, but a disguise/invented identity (for Sailor Cosmos in the manga, and for Sailor Galaxia's star seed in the anime).

♡ In the anime, she is only able to repeat her own name; in the manga and musicals, she's able to speak more clearly.

♡ She is able to recognize Kakyuu while Kakyuu is hidden, and protects the incense burner she is contained in. In general, she seems to be able to sense and understand any magic around her, as well as recognize Senshi.

♡ She takes the form of Sailor Chibi Chibi (or Eternal Sailor Chibi Chibi). In the manga, as she is actually the ultimate senshi Sailor Cosmos, her powers are near-limitless -- although in the physical form of a toddler, she grows tired and falls asleep after using them.
In the anime, she likewise seems to have unspecified but incredibly strong power as Galaxia's star seed; she creates or reveals the Moon Chalice and gives it to Sailor Moon to make her stronger, and transforms into the Sword of Sealing in an attempt to help Usagi defeat Galaxia.

♡ Sailor Cosmos doesn't appear in the anime. However, when Chibi Chibi's nature as the supposed Light of Hope is revealed, there is a very brief image of her as a caped and winged woman with long hair in odango, who is often mistaken as Sailor Cosmos. (It's more likely that this is the form Sailor Moon would have taken if Usagi had chosen to take Chibi Chibi as her new star seed, as she was being encouraged to do -- possibly she would have become a form of Sailor Cosmos if she did so, but it wouldn't be the same character/origin as Cosmos in the manga.)

♡ Chibi Chibi is never shown transforming or using a specific/named attack in either the anime or manga.

♡ Her uniform is light blue, with yellow and hot pink accents.

♡ Chibi Chibi was voiced by Mitsuishi Kotono (who also played Usagi) in the anime.

SAILOR STARS SEASON/STARS ARC

Wand/Staff: In the manga, Sailor Chibi Chibi has a small white wand, topped with a pink heart encircled by a gold ring; it is also sometimes depicted as a small white staff with a ringed heart at its top. It seems to be a disguised version of Sailor Cosmos' unnamed staff. Chibi Chibi/Cosmos never use a phrase or specific attack to use their powers, so the name of the staff and the full extent of its purpose/abilities are unknown.

Sword of Sealing: In the anime, Chibi Chibi takes the form of a sword in order to help Sailor Moon defeat Sailor Chaos. She seems to amplify Usagi's powers and/or grant her new ones, as taking the sword gives Usagi functional wings.

Moon Chalice: In the anime, the Moon Chalice is an item that Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon reveals to Usagi (or helps her to create); it altered the form of the Moon Tiare and made it much more powerful.
