The vast void of water that surrounds the land is said to be
purgatory. It is meant for those who have reached the
afterlife but await judgment. Shall there be
peace or
torment? That all depends on the soul. Within the waters are
angels. Remember, not all angels are meant to be beautiful, at least not in the traditional way.
Beauty is in the eye of the
beholder, after all. That being said, these angels are ones that tend to strike fear into those that see them, unless, of course, they are the blessed ones. Those who have a special gift are given the view of nothing more than a
blinding light that fills every dark corner in the depths of the
forgotten. If you are lucky, you hear the songs of their prayer that give you access to the heavens above. It is a peaceful
lullaby. If not, you hear a
shrill cry that will open the core, where you are sucked into a place of endless darkness and fire. But what about those that don’t belong to either? That’s easy, you stay in the
eternal void of those who are lost. You'll forever see the sparkling heavens above and feel the heat of the core below while hearing the
chaotic song of the sirens, the shrills, and the blend of that sweet lullaby that leaves you deafened with time. You’ll be surrounded by all those
lost, bumping into the endless souls that accompany you like a wave through their own judgment or entrapment. Don’t fret, though;
acceptance is key.
