Personality
Masaru has changed quite a bit over the years, especially recently. He used to be the average heart-throb: cocky, full of himself, and ridiculously wanted by his fan base. He was good looking, and he knew it. In fact, he enjoyed flaunting it. It became a hobby of his. He was playful, sometimes a little immature for his age, and only cared about himself.

He was also a heartbreaker. Taking advantage of the fact that a simple wink could send girls and boys alike into a frenzy, he often took a few of his fans back stage after his shows, or out to party before. Needless to say, Masaru’s was a player. And he enjoyed it. He never had a solid, long-lasting relationship. This is partly because he had a superiority complex and believed no one was good enough for him, and partly because he feared of giving up his fame. Masaru was secretly very lonely, and hid behind his various toys.

When it came to his work, Masaru could be downright cruel. Countless agents left him because of his bad attitude, and yet there was always another because of the money. He didn't care much about anything but the fame and money, and didn’t care who he had to step on while he did it.

Masaru still has a terrible temper, but it's getting lots better. When things did not go his way in the past, he lost it. He had been known to have an alcohol problem, and often drank away his anger. He, like many stars, had had issues with drug addiction as well. However, he relied more heavily on the booze. Masaru had many dark secrets he carefully kept hidden away from his public.

However, thanks to the unfailing love of his now husband, Jaice, Masaru has left much of that past behind him. He's no longer cruel or stuck on himself, and his more softer side has begun to show. He can still get a bit of a temper, mostly around Baine, Jaice's brother, but otherwise, he's almost a changed person.

History
Masaru was born in Japan, to a rather average family. Neither one of his parents made very much money, so at a young age Masaru knew he wanted to have lots of it when he grew up. He got an after school job as soon as he could, and saved up on his own for his first guitar, which he still has. After that, he put all the money he earned to get lessons.

Slowly Masaru began to get small gigs with his band in clubs throughout the city. Many people knew then he was going to be something big. He got his first deal when he was fifteen, and the doors were open. Within a span of four years, Masaru rose to become a rock icon. He had a growing fan base, and with that, growing assets.

But while he had everything he had ever wanted, Masaru was not happy. And he took that anger out on the people around him. When he was nineteen, he moved cities and his career. He just wanted a change of pace, new people and a new town. New places to be famous. So he boarded a plane to the states.

It was in this new city he came across a younger boy by the name of Jude, who was trying to make a name for himself in music. From the moment he met him, Masaru hated him. The kid had talent, talent that could rival his own. So Masaru used all his influences to keep Jude from becoming any sort of threat. He called clubs and concert halls the boy was to play at and used his influence, or money, to get the owners to cancel his shows or refuse to allow Jude to play there.

Masaru lived alone in a penthouse suite, overlooking the city for a few years. The new city didn’t take away his empty feeling, nor did it fill his hole. He only continued to perform because he had to, to stay the best and to make money. But recently that had changed.

Jaice, a former band mate of Masaru’s showed up in the city with a vow to make Masaru his. However, he only gained the other’s attention by becoming the drummer in Jude’s band, which in turn infuriated Masaru. Masaru finally gave into the other’s very pushy advances, and took him home to his penthouse a few times. However, after a while, it became clear that Jaice was truly in love with him, and it frightened Masaru, so he lashed out and told Jaice to leave. The other did and Masaru slowly rotted away.

He seemed to have disappeared from the world, locked himself in his penthouse and drank his cares away until a more dangerous craving took over him. The craving for his drugs. Planning to rid himself of his pain finally, Masaru slowly deleted all the numbers from his phone, a symbolic good-bye to his life. But he could not bring himself to erase Jaice’s. Instead, in a desperate call for help, he called the other before passing out.

It was because of the other he lived, and when he woke up in the hospital, he was there with him. He agreed to go home with the other, stay away from the city and all the eyes of the public and recovered. While Masaru did not yet understand his feelings for Jaice, he was content to live with him for the time and at least be an exclusive boyfriend. Masaru has had enough of what fame had turned him into. So the two retreated to a small town, away from the big city and the limelight.

They had been there for a few months, Masaru battling his withdrawals and his feelings, when Jaice proposed to Masaru. The other was completely in shock, but knew, being the person he was, there'd be absolutely no other person in the world as willing to help and to fight for him as Jaice did. He didn't understand, but he knew Jaice loved him, and Masaru knew he loved the other at that moment, so said yes.

The two were married a few months later, in a small ceremony away from the public eye with just close friends and family. Masaru has been living with Jaice in their house away from the world for almost a year now, and he can't remember the last time he's craved his old habits, or wanted to drink. He feels he owes his life to Jaice, and he loves him very much for that.

Masaru has now put his hate for Jude, the young singer, aside and works as a semi-manager to him, wanting to sincerely help him succeed and at the same time look out for him so the same thing that happened to him does not happen to the younger boy as well. He, Jaice, Jaice's brother Baine and his boyfriend, Katsuroshi, as well as Jude and his boyfriend Hyunsu have all become close friends and often get together with them.

While he's not too comfortable with too many people just yet, Masaru has found he's quite happy where he is in life. Even if he never sings again, he's smiling more than he ever was and gets to spend his days with Jaice. That's more than enough for him.

Jaice
I finally get it, why you stuck by me this whole time. Love... same reason I want to stay with you. You tell anyone I said that though, I'll still kick your ass.

Baine_421
I didn't think anyone could be more pushy, stubborn, idiotic or more infuriating than Jaice. Then I met you. *glares* But I guess I have to like you, for him.

Katsuroshi
Yeah well, I still don't see what you see in him. But if he's like his brother when he's alone with you... then I guess we can both say we're pretty lucky, ne?

.Jude
Sorry about everything, wasn't really too great of a person back then. You've got Jaice looking out for you now, and me, if you want it. So we'll make sure you turn out okay.

Hyunsu
I'm sort of glad the kid found someone like you. Fame... can be painful, you need someone there. But guess you understand that yourself?
