You may think that the Bringer of Sleep would be a quiet, gentle type of being. Someone who calms and relaxes all those around them. However, this is not the case. Sleep Bringer is a bright and jolly type of creature, who paints the night time hours with colours. Why? Because the colours that swirl around in the mind of the tired help them rest peacefully and soundly. When there is only darkness in the mind, sleep is elusive, and often filled with terrifying shadows.

Ranna the Sleep Bringer is one of the powerful creatures that normally exist on a plane of existance separate from our own. It was from here, in her ephemeral form, that she once lulled the world into a peaceful sleep. Soothing the wearied minds of any creature who needed rest, her calming nature made it easier for her brother Belgaer to breath peaceful dreams into the minds of the sleeping.

During the cataclysmic event that collided Ranna's world with our own, the Sleep Bringer found herself bound to this plane, along with her siblings. In this confusing time, all of this world's creatures found themselves unable to rest easily, and their dreams were haunted by unseen evils. Binding their powers to sacred bells, Ranna and her kin took on physical forms, each form reflecting their respective powers.

Much to everyones surprise, Ranna was a bright and colourful creature, more suited to keeping people awake. Unsure of her ability to continue her duty as the Sleep Bringer, Ranna never the less set about to bringing rest and peace to the night. Much to everyones surprise, the bright colours and cheerful nature that now represented Ranna were perfect for making the tired of this plane feel safe and secure. Painting beautiful images in the night, Ranna was able to once again lull the world into rest.
