I remember the first time I laid eyes on Chowder. At 2 months old he was laying on my uncle's porch battling an upper respiratory infection. His eyes were crusted shut from the discharge. On September 10th 2008 we brought him home after calling our parents and begging them to bring him home. At first they agreed to bring him home just until his infection went away. But after the first day we knew he would stay. The first month with us he spent around 18 hours a day sleeping trying to fight off the infection. Seeing little change we took him to the vet and after one application of eye drops all his symptoms went away.
Now 3 years old he is a happy and healthy young man. He loves running around the house playing with his younger sister Laina(2) and his newly adopted sister Grace(6). He also loves playing with his favorite toy. A furry mouse and oddly enough hair bands. It's not unlikely to see him batting these around the house. About once a week we have to lift up the furniture to get out around 5 of either of these.
