A horrible noise assaulted your ears. An unearthly crunch. It didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. You looked around. It sounded like a cog could be caught or something. You couldn't be sure. Certainly it wasn't really your place, but it wasn't as if this was something you could just leave alone.

You wandered closer to the noise. Something was glinting in the distance. A twilight Endeavor was sitting spread out on a large bench. You saw his claw casually wander over to a bucket of thick screws and bolts. He scooped up and handful and....... Put them in his mouth? Strong teeth clamped down without hesitation on the odd assortment.

CRUNCH. CRUNCH. CRUNCH.

You winced at the sight. But there was no doubt was you were seeing.

"Geheheheheh," he chuckled, a mad grin spreading over his face. He reached out his claw towards you, a few broken pieces of scrap metal remained, "Want some?"

You declined his offer and had the distinct impression that this didn't surprise him in the least......

Gajeel Redfox was raised by Metalicana, the iron dragon. This is where Gajeel learned his dragon slayer magic. This is known as a 'Lost Magic'. Gajeel's Iron Dragon slayer magic is a Caster Type Magic. (Caster magic is magic that is expelled from the body as opposed to magic done through the use of a weapon or outside source.) Gajeel eats iron to regain his own strength and his teeth and jaw muscles are powerful enough to gnaw through solid metal easily. He can be seen eating screws, and even in some cases metal girders.

He was originally in the Phantom Lord guild. He was one of the elemental four. He fought Natsu and the other members of Fairy Tail. Upon the collapse of the Phantom Lord guild he joined Fairy Tail, after some urging from Juvia Lockser. He claims that it was just because he needed someplace to work, but he does seem to care about the guild.

When first introduced Gajeel seems cold and cruel. He even uses his powers to injure a fellow guild member who was praising his powers because he was annoying him. Despite this, he is actually very loyal to the guild that he joins.(Whether it was Phantom Lord in the past or Fairy Tail later) He didn't attack Fairy Tail out of hatred, but merely because of a sense of duty. The Fairy Tail guild was the enemy of the Phantom Lord guild. Thus when it came time for a war between the two guilds he showed no hesitation.

When he first joins the guild he is not welcomed very warmly. In fact, many members of the guild still held grudges against him. Although personally attacked by him, he was accepted by Levy McGarden right away. He may say that he joined the guild for work, but he does attempt in his own way to make friends with the other guild members. When Jet and Droy attack him because of an old grudge he doesn't even fight back.(Despite the fact that he was much more powerful then them) He even goes as far as to protect Levy.
