Story by Paula;

Once upon a time there was a very handsome Tigrean, covered in pitchblack fur. He was the heir to a kingdom whose north part is known today as Sacred Lands, long ago when it was all covered in sand. The Tigrean was spoiled rotten by his majestic parents, the King and Queen of the Deserted Lands, for their first and only son Ghott, first of his name, also known as The Dark Prince, had finally arrived to assure their dominance at the deserts. Despite being a big desert, the land was rich and the population created wonderful cities from zero that were true oasis at the desolate place.

Growing up surrounded by coins, jewels and all kinds of expensive items, Ghott let the gold grow inside of his heart and he eventually became mean – to him, all that mattered was the golden coins, caring less for his people. That was not a problem at all, until his father fell with sickness. His son would have to carry on with the kingdom and take his place. But the beloved Golden Prince was not interested in taking care of anything. Ghott was cruel.

He would step upon the wellfare of the population in behalf of his own treasure. He did not care if his people would starve, if they were out of jobs, if there was a plague in the kingdom, as long as he kept his treasure all to himself. And they had to bring him more and more of the precious secrets that the land would hide. The population was dependant on the new king, Ghott the Dark, they prayed and hoped for their king to eventually come to his senses and aid them. But instead, Ghott grew even more greedy by the day. His people were enslaved and he would toss a piece of plain bread to anyone who brought him diamonds and treasure chests.

👑

The citizen were furious. They were attacking each other, destroying everything in order to find suitable treasure the king would fancy in order to receive food and survive another day. They were killing each other, ruining the city. The king's counselor, a wise creature, seeing chaos fall inside their kingdom, had an idea so The Sacred Throne wouldn't break in the hands of that greedy leader: She cast a spell, a curse – if the Dark Prince wanted his treasure so bad, it was all he was ever going to have in life.

And so he decided to break his promise to the fallen King and cast Ghott his punishment. The Dark Prince was trapped inside a lamp made of pure gold, locked away from the sights of anyone deep down a chamber beneath the palace. The counselor tried to recover the empire, but it was not and easy task to perform. Disease and chaos had already taken over.

The city fell to ruins.

Ghott was forgotten locked inside his lamp.

👑

And that is how the legend came to be. The Dark Prince Ghott is said to live still inside his lamp, tied to it by magic contained in two solid gold bracelets on each of his arms. He can never be free from them, for they can't be removed from his body. Despite being able to pop out and into the lamp by himself, there's no much he can do.

Ghott lives alone, surrounded by his richness. All pure gold and precious jewels, maps to extraordinarious places, tokens and amulets of magic and the pure beauty of shiny gold. But he's alone, so he values the lifes of each one of the sudits he neglected so long ago. He can materialize any possible thing he wants: Any food, any diamond. He can have a banquet of exotic foods and materialize the most beautiful crystal to yet be seen on Subeta. But he can't bring anyone else to keep him company.

He can have no friends at all but his golden treasure. And as if being imprisoned in a chamber all alone for eternity wasn't enough punishment, anyone who finds the lamp he's imprisioned in, can ask for three wishes and Ghott has to obey, against his imperial will and abnormal pride.

It is said the lamp is there, hidden amongst the ruins of the south of the Sacred Lands, that piece of desert that still lingers with its golden sands. It is nearly impossible to find the location to those ruins, if it exists at all. Some say it is just a legend and a story to tell their kids. But some folks are determined to find The Dark Prince and become rich.

What do you say, don't you want to try your luck? Join the hunt!
