Purrington makes plushies and helps find loving homes to adopt them. He makes sure that their new parent(s) will treat them well, and not neglect them. His work also includes plushie therapy services, where people and pets can come to his house and play with plushies for comfort and healing. One such plushie is Cuddlesworth, a Nostalgic Clawsion who many people have bonded with and who seems to have a spirit of her own.

He is especially suited to plushie creation because of his many tentacles! He can even sew more than one plushie at once, and his suction cups are very useful for holding onto extra materials. But he always has to make sure to wear thimbles because his limbs are so delicate. As one can see by his large collection of plushies, he loves the ones he makes dearly and spends much of his time cuddling and petting them. Although he looks like a dogtopus, he purrs like a cat when happy (hence his name), so he can often be seen stroking his plushies with his tentacles while purring.

Genevieve is a very dapper gentlewoman mouse, who is very helpful and a wonderful friend to Purrington. She especially enjoys helping people with their plushie therapy sessions while Purrington is busy, and because of her size, she can sew extremely tiny stitches that Purrington can't see! Genevieve is also helpful in interviewing people who wish to adopt plushies, and assisting with the necessary adoption papers. She has a particular interest in finance, so she manages finances for their business.

Purrington is also very posh and high-class. He lives in a large home with only the best of furnishings (although he gives generously to charities around Subeta). Also, he does not wish to be called "common", since those of his species are so rare. Please do not refer to him as an "experiment", either - he is proud of his unique appearance, and does not see himself as a mistake or something to be labelled with a number.

Being a rather unusual creature himself, Purrington tries hard to include the Unliving people and creatures around Subeta. He makes many plushies to look like Unliving beings, so they can visit his shop and see creations representing themselves. And of course, he lets the orphans that Nacho Muerte takes care of have plushies for free. A lot of Unliving children don't have the chance to see themselves represented so positively, and Purrington wants to change that.
