Antique Shop

The Antique Shop is now open!
There are two ways to purchase items from the Antique Shop. For now, there are tabs for the Islander items and Pirate items, but future tabs for other plot and event prizes will be added. By going to the main section for these, you’ll be buying items full price and be able to do whatever you want with them. For example you could buy the Salty Chart Pieces from the Pirates tab and put them in your pet’s treasure chest, one of your galleries, your vault, or even send it to a friend!
The second way to purchase items from the Antique shop is by clicking one of the item types after “Direct To Collectionsâ€. For example, if you click books you’ll have all the book listed from the different events (right now only pirate and islander books are listed). By buying an item from this tab, you’ll be getting a nice discount and bypass your inventory. In the case of foods and books, these items will be fed/read to your active pet. When you feed/read the foods/books to your pet or buy a plushie/beanbag, they disappear from this section so you can easily keep track of what you still need to purchase. If you end up reading all the books to your pet from the books tab (whether through the antique shop or your inventory!), the tab will disappear until we add another old plot/event!
We will give you guys a heads up before we get rid of any other retired currencies just like we did with the islander/pirate currencies! Remember you can still convert your old pirate/islander points in for sP here!

Wow that is going to take forever to get even one of them. I kinda think the prices are a bit insane especially the 3 billion sP sword. :/ I may have to give up ever owning some of it. >_< Glad to see it's back into rotation somehow though. At least the people who could afford it can buy it.

@Amber
Yeah, like I said, 'I guess not'. My impression from the beginning was that wearables were one thing you wanted to get back into circulation, but that making it where they were affordable/not free for all/whatever was the problem. Hence the massive suggestions for account bound (which is where I really became aware/started paying attention, although admittedly not that much).
Collection items were easy to account bound, but not that interesting. With all the suggestions and praise for the suggestions, I thought we were more on track for account bound.

Wow, that's a hell of a sink. n__n I love the subtabs, it makes it so much easier to find what's what!

@Unwritten The Direct to Collection tab isn’t really one you click, you click the item types next to it! The title Direct to Collection is there so you you know the item types that follow it are the items you are putting directly into your collection (example: clicking books gives you all the books listed in the shop so far, so later when we add more events it’ll have books from more than just pirates/islanders!)

Oops..never mind about the Direct to Collections thing. I reread above and see why it doesn't work. Kind of confusing at first, but I get it now.

@Tribunal What do you mean about wearables? We were never going to put them direct to collection, because you can take them out of the wardrobe. A lot of people on the announcement thread thought we wanted to make everything account bound, but that wasn’t our intention at all! Also the RD + other plots are likely going to be a lot easier on the eyes, price wise, because again. The prices weren’t as varied like the pirate/islander shop! (these two shops jumped from like 20 point items to 750 pretty fast while RD stays pretty much in the 1-60 range with some at 225ish)

The "Direct To Collections:" header doesn't work for me. When I click on it, nothing happens. I even tried to right click and open in a new tab, but it just loads all of the items.

Mother heffe those prices are up there. And this is only pirates/islanders! I tremble for some of the old RD stuff/weapons. 56m is probably what I would have paid for the Lemon Leaf Mouse had I found a seller. This is a tiny bit of availability for an item I was probably never going to buy anyway because it was just too pricey... and it's still too pricey. Major meh.
The fact that the wardrobe got pulled from the 'permanent collection' option pretty well slams this in the ground and throws all the dirt back on. I thought that was where this all started from, but I guess not.

I agree that some items are overpriced... Non-godly weapons and a few of the items with a limited market in particular... However, for the most part, I think the prices are fine and they will not be dissuading me from the particular items I am after. Maybe I've just been desensitized to high prices.
Oh, and people who are balking at 3.75 billion price tag for those two weapons... You obviously have not been paying attention to the godlies market. 3.75 billion is many many times more than I would ever pay for anything on here but it is not that bad for a godly weapon.

Wow, I was really excited over this concept at first, but seeing the reality. Not just no but HELL NO! The prices are ridiculous.

Wow you really can't please everyone...
Yes I admit that they are really expensive but that's the point, they're suppose to be hard to get old items. Before this I assure you that some of these items would be impossible to buy not because of price but because you can't find a seller. If there's something that's cheaper in user shops then by all means, buy from there. Now? They're expensive but at least it's obtainable.
I honestly don't think there's a problem with the price, if they made them too cheap, we'd have people going 'THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RARE ITEMS, YOU DEVALUE THEM.'

I knew they'd be expensive. Some a bit too much, IMO, but oh well--I hate game sites forever locking out their user base from "retired" items. I love how Subeta always tries to bring them back.

@AJAY oh that’s fun. Yeah, that’s like 225 RD points when most of the other items are below 70. The truth serum and soma tablets is also 225 and the one ring is 150. I think it’ll be a lot easier to do sP conversion for Reading Drive still haha.

Well just make sure that the Reviver of the Lion is priced @ 488888.8888888889 sP per point... cause that is what the LAST I think future plot/event items will be a lot nicer as far as prices just because we’ve done a lot better at awarding prizes/balancing prices out since the pirate/islander plot. Look at say the Reading Drive — there isn’t a like 700 point difference between a lot of items like the pirate/islander shop had. Pirates had like some 20 point things and then like 750 for plushies and then crazy high stuff for weapons. Pirate/Islander shops were hard to do a RWP to SP ratio while other plot/events will be a lot easier to price, like EPICON and Reading Drive! We basically got the harder shops out of the way first.

Nice items and I have plenty of money for all the items but I'm too cheap to spend all my money in one shop. Lovely art too.

@Mythology We don’t want to do another reading drive in the format that it is now, so that’s why these items will be added (eventually) to the antique shop (and those points are listed under the retired currency section)! Eventually, all plot/event items will make their way to this shop though.

@Amber - Out of curiosity, did the idea of balancing the prices for the Omen Islands items come up? I get that people worked for their points so that could be seen as unfair to them, but since even the initial points shops got complaints about the way the point distribution worked back then and how unbalanced the prices were as a result, it'd be interesting to know if the possibility of making the prices closer than they originally were was brought up at all.
First reaction at the prices of even the "direct to collection" .. laugh
Second reaction...mutters "talk about inflation!"
Third reaction doesn't bother to save the link

Oh if thats what you were looking for: I'm definitely considering a Wrath Purchase in the future as well.
There are currently only 4 Wrath of Ks on the site total.

@Amber Will these items be added in the user shop search results, like CS/pawn/NPC shops? It'll help people find the store and help them not pay more than they should ^_^

Well, that's definitely an sP sink if I ever saw one. I like some of the items, but no way am I paying what's being asked for them in this shop.
I realize these items are old and maybe kind of hard to come across but sheesh, those prices are just a LITTLE absurd.

@Avarice Okay, it's good to hear another side that actually wants it and accepts the price. Most of the stuff I've been saving for (plushies, beanbags, stickers) doesn't even come close to that amount so my perspective must be a little skewed.
As much as I want to complete my beanbag/plushie collections I will NOT pay those insane prices!!! This shop was supposedly to bring back these items so that people who didn't or couldn't get them in the past can get them now, BUT at what price? I have been on here for over 7years and if i paid those prices for just one of those items I would go broke. I just think you guys need to redo this pricing.

@Bailey if i had that I would of bought it in a heart a beat. I am only at 1 bil right now but that is the next thing I am going to buy

I think Subeta should also consider the "psychology" of things: you'll get more sP out of the system with slightly lower prices, as contradictory as it sounds.
Aka, I'm not buying 1 simple flower for 75 mil (even though I can afford it, and I really want it), but if I would be able to buy several items at a lower price, I wouldn't have a problem spending 100 mil or whatever to get all those flowers. And that is what would make a true sP sink, I think?

We're just going in circles and now we've ended up at 'well if you don't like it get out.' Debating staff decisions is what this section is FOR.
@InSaNe I'm allowed to argue a point that doesn't necessarily concern me, item pricing is a general issue that affects more than just this one item.

Well, that didn't make life any easier at all.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to recuperate from the heart attack looking at these prices gave me.

@bailey
If you don't want it, what are you complaining about ? As far as I know, no one is forcing you to buy them

I could understand tens of millions for a very nice background or a costume trunk or something, but I'm not willing to part with that much for a hair pin or got-dang ankle wraps. I don't want them that bad.
Guess I'll forever be Scrooge McStingy-Pants. Sorry.

@InSaNe "God weapons are expensive and you are not entitled to them. They are now much more available than they ever were, and also much less expensive." Okay, so why would people want THIS one as opposed to all the other less expensive ones? Not wanting something to cost billions is not entitlement, I just can't picture any subeta player wanting this weapon THAT much over literally any other site item they could dream of.
