Antique Shop
The Antique Shop is now open!
There are two ways to purchase items from the Antique Shop. For now, there are tabs for the Islander items and Pirate items, but future tabs for other plot and event prizes will be added. By going to the main section for these, you’ll be buying items full price and be able to do whatever you want with them. For example you could buy the Salty Chart Pieces from the Pirates tab and put them in your pet’s treasure chest, one of your galleries, your vault, or even send it to a friend!
The second way to purchase items from the Antique shop is by clicking one of the item types after “Direct To Collectionsâ€. For example, if you click books you’ll have all the book listed from the different events (right now only pirate and islander books are listed). By buying an item from this tab, you’ll be getting a nice discount and bypass your inventory. In the case of foods and books, these items will be fed/read to your active pet. When you feed/read the foods/books to your pet or buy a plushie/beanbag, they disappear from this section so you can easily keep track of what you still need to purchase. If you end up reading all the books to your pet from the books tab (whether through the antique shop or your inventory!), the tab will disappear until we add another old plot/event!
We will give you guys a heads up before we get rid of any other retired currencies just like we did with the islander/pirate currencies! Remember you can still convert your old pirate/islander points in for sP here!

I caved and bought it because my birthday is next Satuarday and I wanted to get me an early Birthday Present. :P Besides, I had about 106 mil in my bank that I hadn't spent in a while, and that's one of the only Pirate items I wanted back in the RW that I didn't get, so I was FINALLY happy to get it!
Hopefully, the Battle Loot from some of the event battlers will be there too. I'd really like to add some of those things to my gallery. :D

@AJAY We have two prices in the shops, so that was a compromise between the two. It also didn't really make much sense giving everyone one last chance to spend their points if the value would have been identical to the full price. You got a little more than you could have with sP if you spent the points you'd earned, basically.

Tbh keeping the hibiscus in mind I'm glad these are back at any (buyable) price at all, I'll have to agree the middle-tier weapons do seem a bit overpriced considering they came up for a lot cheaper during the cruise, but otherwise I'm really happy to have a shot at things I otherwise wouldn't...! Even more so by seeing all the collectibles there, omg.

Lol, at the people saying these things would never have become available, so you should be grateful. You obviously haven't been on Subeta long. Nothing ever stays retired forever.

I know these prices are outrageous, to say the least... but, it's better than an unbuyable sitting in a gallery, and believe me, I have one of those galleries.
A lot of us can't buy all the things we want today, but in time, as we save for certain items to complete collections, this will help us out in the long run.
I'm just going through each item and wishlisting items to save up for. Those pirate plushies, they will one day be mine!!!

But... hum... 75 millions for an item currently selling for under 12 millions (or 4 as someone noticed)? That's quite a difference. Was expecting to buy some stuffs I missed (not enough points) but, as they are now and since there's no plan to change, I won't even bother since I can buy them at the user shops by a tiny fraction of the "official" price. I am so glad I spent all my points ages ago.
It will take a while before these particular shops become sP sinks. Or until subetans inflate the prices tenfold to match the shop's.

I get that this stuff was hard to get & not many around -- still doesn't justify the prices. Makes me wonder if this shop wasn't created just for the 10 richest users on the site. I've been a member for only 2.5 years, but there are things priced more than the TOTAL sP I've made in my shops since I joined Subeta. I quest, I rs, etc… but I'm NOT going to spend 3 years working my ass off and saving up to buy 1 thing.

I was really excited about this! I had missed the pirate/islander event because I joined after it and was looking forward to actually being able to get some of the items. Then, I saw the prices. Disappointment on so many levels.
Have you considered adding a total to the shop? Like A total of xx,xxx,xxx,xxx sP has been spent here.
Or even one-up that and have a "high score" table for the biggest spenders.

there was only item that i really wanted. maybe ill buy it someday in the future, but not today.
This is nice! It's meant to be an sP sink, so yeah the prices are going to be high. Play games, do quests, earn sP. Sell CSC so that the price of CSC goes down. PLEASE do this thing. Nothing in these shops I'm dying to save up for though, but it's nice they're available.
less than 30m for every plushie? meh, they should cost at least 100m imo. I guess I'll just wait until the collection items I still need are released for a few millions instead of wasting 200m+ on them.
And seriously people, without this shop, you would have NEVER been able to get some items. You can just ignore it and try hunting a seller to get it cheaper like a lot of people did in the past. I can't see how having the option to get an item for a nice sum of sp is worse than never being able to get it no matter how hard you try.

I dunno but I play a a few times a week, do quests sometimes, and just by selling quest prizes, and shinwa items i make 10 mil a week easily. If you add that up in a month you have 40 mil. This is the BARE minimum. I can easily make 30 mil a week if i try hard enough, restock hrd enough. If i were to sell my wardrobe hell i would be making 100 mil a week easily. Or more. So you know i don't find this remarkably as expensive as others i guess. I remember how hard it was to get the points for these items back in the day.

I'm not bothered by the prices because this stuff will be around permanently. I'm just glad to see some of the UBs back in circulation. :)

So much weeping and gnashing of teeth. I think the repricing makes perfect sense, given how the points were scaled. Sorry you have to put up with this much wailing and chest-beating, staff. For what it's worth, I think this was a fair and logical thing to do, and I applaud you guys by sticking by it.
(Also for that sword to ever be 750 points was unreasonable tbh, why are people surprised. Did you even look at the shop before? Can you even imagine collecting 750 freaking points? Absurd.)

This isn't even bad considering most people spend 600 csc on a single custom wearable.... this is like one cw people. Not a big deal.
Well, I guess that kills whatever hope I once held of ever being able to afford any of those items. At least I have a few of them from way back when, but still egad those prices be high!
Have to admit that while I'm not "outraged" at the high prices, as one of the richest users on Subeta I still won't be buying anything here as I don't see anything I have to have badly enough to pay that much for it. Too many other things I want more. But nice for the opportunity to get old plot items. I wasn't here for this plot so it's interesting to see what is in the shop. But anyone considering buying anything should seriously shop search 1st because a 75k shop item is selling in user shops for 5K.

Pretty sure I had a heart attack with the prices. BUT good idea I guess. Good thing I am not an avid collector of anything specific or I would be in tears right now.

I had a bit of sticker shock upon opening the tab, but overall I think you guys really hit the sweet spot on pricing. The handful of TC items I wanted are all under 50mil, so not too crazy. I also think it's nice that the godlies were brought back. I'm not likely to ever buy them, but I bet there's at least a few billionaires on the site who are going to be excited about picking those up now that they're available.
I'm not surprised at the outrage here in the comments, though. People complained about how expensive Skitter's shop was. Anything that costs more than about 100k sP gets people crying about how 'impossible' it is. (Seriously guys, do all your quests and sell the prizes and you'll be able to afford most of these items in less than a month. Just work at it.)

Uhhh... Nope. These pixels aren't nearly pretty enough for me to think of spending that much on.
I have to agree that these prices are a bit outrageous. The shop had a lot of potential as an sP sink but many people aren't willing or can't afford to buy some of these items.
