Antique Shop

The Antique Shop is now open!
There are two ways to purchase items from the Antique Shop. For now, there are tabs for the Islander items and Pirate items, but future tabs for other plot and event prizes will be added. By going to the main section for these, you’ll be buying items full price and be able to do whatever you want with them. For example you could buy the Salty Chart Pieces from the Pirates tab and put them in your pet’s treasure chest, one of your galleries, your vault, or even send it to a friend!
The second way to purchase items from the Antique shop is by clicking one of the item types after “Direct To Collectionsâ€. For example, if you click books you’ll have all the book listed from the different events (right now only pirate and islander books are listed). By buying an item from this tab, you’ll be getting a nice discount and bypass your inventory. In the case of foods and books, these items will be fed/read to your active pet. When you feed/read the foods/books to your pet or buy a plushie/beanbag, they disappear from this section so you can easily keep track of what you still need to purchase. If you end up reading all the books to your pet from the books tab (whether through the antique shop or your inventory!), the tab will disappear until we add another old plot/event!
We will give you guys a heads up before we get rid of any other retired currencies just like we did with the islander/pirate currencies! Remember you can still convert your old pirate/islander points in for sP here!

I will admit that the prices on the tier 8 weapons are ridiculous, especially considering that ether is a tier 11 god weapon and yet that is only 400M.

The Kui Leis were 100mil+ before the hustler gave them away.
A lot of these wearables were 100mil+ before the the hustler gave them away.
I paid 50mil each for 3 of those buccaneer shirts that are now 18mil.

I actually wanted to get the Wrath for a TC. I knew it wouldn't be cheap but now that's just a pipe dream. Yay for backup choices!
This plot is probably the least important item wise to me, so hooray for that!

And by the way, my previous comment was said as a person who could afford to pay these prices. But nope, not worth it. Sorry. Nice idea but even a billionaire like me won't be spending this much when there's too many other things I want also.

Don't even get me started on the Kui Leis because LOL 37mil for things that are under 5mil in shops. Subeta staff are out of their minds today.
Pfft yeah right. Thankfully I bought all the books for my pet way back when and am not interested in anything else, really. Cause those prices are crazy high.

Just saying, if they didn't released this shop with these items, a lot of them would simply just be unobtainable forever.

I was so excited, but now I'm not. Sososososo many of these items are actually cheaper in user shops.

I was expecting expensive but it's definitely higher than I thought it would be :/ 112m for a minion? Now I have to decide if my entire collection I've been working on is worth paying that much for some of these.

I don't particularly care about this shop, but I'm curious to know if the items from other shops ( I think epicon and reading drive were mentioned) will be similarly inflated?

First paragraph = WELL FRAKN SAID!You are not entitled to be able to afford any of this. If you want it and can't afford it: work harder, be more patient, or change your goals. If you're complaining over the extreme price of a godly weapon then you don't NEED a godly weapon.
I'm half tempted to buy up all the underpriced wearables from the shop search so people will stop losing their shit over the difference. The underpriced stuff is mostly from Huster restocks from a few years back, FYI.
Second = Maybe a kind Multi-billionaire will do just that. :P

I have to chuckle at people's comments on how mean the prices are and how they "couldn't buy anything from the shop, because they were not there for the event".
Believe me, even if you had been there for the event, it is not likely you could have afforded many or the expensive items...

While the prices are high I didn't expect it to be any less than that. I think it's fair to price items that high because ultimately the items come from old events that few have/had points left over for, so rather than the shops close and no one be able to attain those items ever again, they now could be purchased, just at a higher cost.

Cool. But wow omg at the prices. The necklaces I want are nearly 20 million and another item is almost 4 billion... 4 billion. Guess I'll be taking these items off my wish lists. Dang.

It's those prices or nothing, I prefer those prices tbh.
You can get one or two items after one week of questing-restocking-playing games.
And please, why do you even need the godly weapons? they are useless as weapons and to throw them in the gallery it's a waste of money, even if they were 100mil..
Just be happy that those wonderful items are available again :D

Thrilled to have access to pirate pet plushies :) may take awhile, but they will be mine...thank you Subeta !!

I guess this makes sense with the islander/priate plot being one with a really disproportionate point system? Battlers got sooooo many points and non-battlers got sooooo few. I think if I remember right they added in cheaper and more expensive items at the time to make up for this? So of course if they used a 75k sp per point, it's going to be warped. Maybe other shops once they're added will be more proportionate.
I remember being bummed out I couldn't afford the minions at the time... I guess I will never be able to afford them :'D

Time will tell whether or not these prices are effective in reducing the global amount of sPS. Currently, as of 3:50pm, There is a total of 1,668,318,706,117 sP

I don't know, it has caused me to spend sp. Buying items from SS, so hopefully in the future I won't be stuck paying those prices. XD

Sigh. Almost 4 billion for the t11 weapons?
I get they should be expensive, but I've been here 6 1/2 years and my shop hasn't even earned 3 billion yet.

What kind of discount do you get for reading all of the books to your pet? Right now, I'm not seeing anything I can't live without.

Wow. I was in the hospital with a collapsed lung during this event.. I was able to throw some water balloons, but they had not chosen the Islanders/Pirates sides yet. So needless to say I missed it ALL! !8 mill for a shirt?? Why?? And I will now forget ever completing my pirate plushie collection. WTF & SMH. Teach me to almost die.

If I have done my math right, it is 50% off DtCIs there a certain percentage that is given off the original price? If so how much is it?

a lot of the other weapons are definitely not worth the high pricetag. Their stats aren't that great compared to some newer weapons. It gives the illusion that if it's priced high, that it must be good.
Unfortunately, it's not.

@Karen
I dont think anyone was expecting to get it very easy, but you have crazy and you have too crazy. This is too crazy. Well for anyone who want to get the Wrath Of Kahaleitzli because it is a godly, go ahead. I am going to spend my money on other things that are actually worth that amound of sP .

Really the only ones that I need are maybe a bit too high, are the tier 7 and below weapons that are priced above 50mil.
None should ever pay those prices.
Also the tier 9 weapons priced at 750mil should probably be closer to 400-600mil.
And I say that as someone who owns every single one of these weapons

...Ouch. I was expecting the prices to be high since it's been so long since the Omen Islands plot, but I have to agree that a lot of these prices feel way too high. The godlies being so insanely expensive makes sense, since I recall that those were supposed to be extremely limited, but the price difference between some of the lower-point items feels way too big (there's a price jump of 18mil in the first two row of the pirates section alone, for instance).
I understand that you guys had to balance the 50k-per-point exchange out somehow, and the 75k-per-point ratio works out okay for the first few items, but it really feels like the resulting prices are too high for the vast majority of the items. :pensive:

@Amber Is a direct-to-wardrobe planned for the future, or do we have to buy the full item? :)
... it's funny. Because I posted on those boards after staff basically said the direct to collection stuff would be the only way the items were released and as such they'd be like wicked cheap (implied in the few million range), and that kinda annoyed me a lot because people have spent a lot on these items.
I then said, for example, I paid 5kcsc (which was 150m at the time) for one of the books (which I've read to my pet, I can't resell it or I'm hoarding it away to retire on) and that a few million was a huge slap in the face and wouldn't encourage anyone to put more $$$ into completing collections because it's just going to be lowballed years later. I also stated, several times, that I don't find that price tag reasonable and if I had seen this coming I definitely wouldn't have purchased it because that's a lot of effing money/sP-- but a few million isn't reasonable either.
I'm glad to see... that the middle ground was apparently 115m instead of 150m?? Like I can't say I'm surprised at all here, but I'm yet again kinda baffled that subeta seems to swing hard to the right... or hard to left, is the middle ground really that hard (I know it's a challenge with chance, everything is either 500k or 50m+..)?
I will say though-- I'm impressed that the gods came back! Not that I need a fire blocker or whatever Kookookachus wrath does, but still impressed! And this will definitely be an sP sink if nothing else xD; Definitely see a few things I'ma buy here shortly and a few things I'll probably safe for (shark minion ;u;!) but... yeah, I think some of these are a bit outrageous in price (I was expecting that for the gods but a lot of this is... excessive).

Oh noooo, I didn't realize siren harp is a weapon, I am never gonna get one of those at that price :p

Thanks for clearing that, Amber!
Even though painful, I am glad the items are indeed pricy as promised. The books in the collection section are for the most part cheaper than what I bought them for back then, the cruise ship prices certainly did not match this at all, so I'm happy I got my Carved Jade Fishing Spear on the boat - and we got the stats right on this one, too ;) -, as well as buying the Siren Harp and Dagger for a piece of bread somewhen along the way.

@Karen There is a huge difference in thinking we can come an buy all of these weapons for a bargain (which probably no one thought) or just knowing that we cannot buy one of these weapons within the coming x years of saving our money, which makes these weapons absolutely not worth buying at all.

In any case, I do hope this works as a good sp sink for the people with that much sp and want items from the events.
