Antique Shop
The Antique Shop is now open!
There are two ways to purchase items from the Antique Shop. For now, there are tabs for the Islander items and Pirate items, but future tabs for other plot and event prizes will be added. By going to the main section for these, you’ll be buying items full price and be able to do whatever you want with them. For example you could buy the Salty Chart Pieces from the Pirates tab and put them in your pet’s treasure chest, one of your galleries, your vault, or even send it to a friend!
The second way to purchase items from the Antique shop is by clicking one of the item types after “Direct To Collectionsâ€. For example, if you click books you’ll have all the book listed from the different events (right now only pirate and islander books are listed). By buying an item from this tab, you’ll be getting a nice discount and bypass your inventory. In the case of foods and books, these items will be fed/read to your active pet. When you feed/read the foods/books to your pet or buy a plushie/beanbag, they disappear from this section so you can easily keep track of what you still need to purchase. If you end up reading all the books to your pet from the books tab (whether through the antique shop or your inventory!), the tab will disappear until we add another old plot/event!
We will give you guys a heads up before we get rid of any other retired currencies just like we did with the islander/pirate currencies! Remember you can still convert your old pirate/islander points in for sP here!

The prices are totally reasonable. People need to remember that there was NO SUPPLY of these items on the site. If it's cheaper in the shop search, go buy it in the shop search, but that small pool of items wasn't going to last forever. These items are now readily available for all future subeta users.

Uh... This in no way makes it more affordable to me xD But congrats to everyone else I guess. mopes over island themed pet 75 mil for the Brarko - bye. I'll just pretend that this doesn't exist.
I went from seeing these items in the shops that closed down and thinking, "one day I'll get these" to now going no thanks I can live without them.
The people who think it's absurd that they can't just easily stroll in and buy a godly weapon are pretty funny.

It's not an issue of price though. For the items where they were unavailable on SS - this is great. However you guys really shouldn't have applied a blanket price to everything because people are simply never going to buy some of these. Never. I wouldn't mind paying a high price for something that is worth it - but not 560mil for an item that is 50mil on SS like the Anabelle's Dirk.

I LOVE the D.C feature! I bought a book, it went to my active pet -- as it should. When I switched my active pet to a different pet, the book was back so I can read it to my new active pet! I'm really glad you allowed for reading to multiple pets. Thanks! :)

@PhoenixRose The people who participated in the plot worked very hard to get the prizes they did, it would be unfair of us to price everything very low. These items will be around forever in this shop, so they are great things to work up to buying. They are goals you can work towards because, yes some are quite expensive, but at least there is a way of getting them now! The pirate plushies alone made me cry because none were in shops and I needed them for my collection.
I agree with the majority of people here, nice idea sure, but no. It's cheaper to buy these items from other users for the most part.

Great sink for billionaires. Gonna be a bitch for everyone else to try and save up though. Ah well...I'll just save up for books; no reason to get an SoSS or Wrath when other weapons can fill the role.
I look forward to the other plots getting their items put into the antique shop. I hope I'll be able to get a good amount of sPs when Masquerade 2013 Points can be turned in.

It's a lot more than a few :/ I don't think the average that was settled on was a good one - people are just going to take one look at these prices or compare them to SS and close their tabs right away lol.

@grelca The exchange for points may be nice for the people who had them, but for the people who missed the event? They're definitely screwed. I was really looking forward to the antique shop because I had missed the event and, as a result, couldn't buy anything from the shops.
I understand that the prices need to be high. But THAT... whoa! I feel like walking into a Chanel shop.. seeing the price of a itsy bitsy tiny wallet and walking backwards out (while feeling terribly depressed).
The 3.75bil sp is a discount on SoSS and Wrath BTW, for the people who are balking at the price.
I envy those folks who bought weapons from the cruize shop.

I'm okay with most of these prices. The ones I really question are the ones that are priced so much lower than available user shop items. And honestly, the fact that these items came back at all is huge.
I can't say the prices are too surprising, I expected expensive, but I'm very surprised, and pleased, by how many Island wearables there are! I was not here for that plot, so I didn't even know most of those items existed, and the ones I knew about, I didn't know were prizes for this plot.

@FLUX We weren’t going to price things individually based off user shops. We had to look at the overall picture and a ratio of RWP to SP. The same will happen likely with the other events/plots, where a few items will fall below the price of the antique shop.

Yeah, finally we get a chance to buy some of these antique items ourselves... but who can afford some of these items, like the Sword of the Seven Seas? o.O I have to sell all of my belongings in order to buy a thingy or two (Sword of the Seven Seas excluded, I have to sell more than I own for that one)... Multiple items are even more expensive in here than in the usershop, but why?
I don't see what the point of making an sP sink where half the items are things no one in their right mind will touch because they're like 50mil more than SS. Literally why?
As far as prices go, we did give you guys (who still had points) 50k sP for each plot point you turned in, so the exchange wasn't going to be less than that when turning these prices into sP.
those prices r ridiculous. there was no point in making an antique shop if we r expected to spend this much for an item. i'll just stick to window shopping lol
Nice idea, but for the prices I could pretty much complete the majority of my other collections outside of items that aren't in shops. I know it isn't 'hard' to make sP necessarily, but uh. No. Not until I have bought everything else that's at more reasonable prices.
Hopefully there won't be retirements from this shop so I can one day buy them when I manage it, lol.

Some of these prices seem fair... but there are some that seem too expensive (... 3.75billion?) and some that are too cheap (i.e. The Black Spot, which is under 2m in the shop and 6m in user shops).

By encouraging everyone to save up, you're not defeating the problem. You're encouraging people to hoard even more sPs so that they can afford multiple items at once instead of just one or two at a time.
SoSS and Wrath are priced fine. Everything else is a bit ridiculous.
