...Or the GELATIN, I should say. Normally when these things invade, the first thing I hear is the disgusting noise of thousands of mini gelatins sliding across the land, but something's different this time. I can hear the minis, of course, but they're faint, farther off in the distance. This thing out in front... it's heavy. Massive. I think it's Hydragellos... and I think it's been working out. Doing some core strength exercises, if you will! I know, I'm hilarious.
I don't want to discourage anybody here, but I have a feeling that we're not going to be able to take this thing down completely this time. With any luck, though, we can make its stay in Subeta so miserable that it won't stick around for longer than a week. Tell you what: as motivation, I'll personally retrieve a Hydragellos Maniacal Core from the beast for each and every battler who manages to do 5 million damage to it by the end of August 30. Don't worry if you can't hit that total; I'll still scrounge up some other rewards for you based on total damage dealt, and you can of course hack away at any smaller gelatins to see what kind of loot you can knock out of their jiggly insides!
WE CAN DO THIS, battlers! Now come on, let's show that gelatinous beast who's boss!

Great. now people are gonna give up on the Quest-A-Thon and I can't even join the battles because of my low tier pets. :disappointed_relieved:
i at least can try something against this beast!! i've been DYING to get that core off my wishlist!!!! for years!!!
50/ 200 battles done. Max amount of rounds I survived at the most is 37 so i think 200 battles might still be an overkill but better safe than sorry
Please could we have a total damage counter so that we can see how much further we have to go?
I have mixed feelings about the way the battle is set up now as it feels less competitive (which is kind of the point of battling in general), however I do agree that this will really help alleviate some of the bottlenecking that happens in the upper tiers. I do appreciate that, while not classically competitive anymore, it still involves dedication and effort and patience, which is something that really needs to remain a staple of the battling portion of the site.
Hey staff, Thank You for letting us know mostly how this boss fight works ahead of time. It's way nicer having a specific goal to work towards and know just about how we're doing, even if the prize tiers aren't known yet.
I just try to relax when I'm here at subeta and do what I would normally do whether there is an event or not.
You can quest for awhile and then battle for awhile or vice versa.
No need to stress out over either event just relax and do your best but most importantly just have fun doing what you feel up to doing :heart:.
I do both I quest for a bit then I take a break and battle for a bit back and forth at my own pace and time schedule.
Good luck on both events everyone and have some much needed relaxation and fun :).

whooo-boy multitasking between this and quests is so time consuming D: did we really have to have both at the same time? i want to give my all to both but jeez a girl has got to sleep e_e i guess i'll cut battles short of my goal for the night and focus on getting my quests done.
but my appreciation for weapon preselection has gone up by about 9999999.99%!! thanks @Bug and @Purge for all the work you've put into the UI recently! :heart: i think this slog would have been even more impossible with the old system, and i sure as cats wouldn't have stuck with it for as long as i have so far tonight!
and wow i hadn't even realised Helio had reached tier 8 until tonight...seriously gotta update his weapons but it's all way too overwhelming rn. brain power...fizzing...out!*message turns to static*

Now it could just be me, but Pet leveling has always been disgustingly slow on Subeta. Good Luck to those who attempt however!

Answers to a few more questions.
- The tiers of pets have no affect on the prizes they can get. There's no top prize per tier for this.
- The Core is the top prize.
While I love the thought of a gelatin war, doing at the same time as a questathon is really not very good planning. Now I can either do quests or work towards five million for a VERY rare item. The battling wins and the questing is over.
Ehhh...I got a T11 pet, but since I never get my hands on good weapons (too expensive!) I'll pass. :(
.......I do not do very much damage as my pet is in dire need of me to update his weapons. xD

Wow..... 5million damage.... I'm doing maybe 10k a battle tops, usually around 5k. So I'm looking at 1000 battles. That's way too many hours to spend... So I ain't doing that. I will try and do as much as I can just to get the other items, but damn... Maybe when my pet is stronger, I guess. I saw a T13 in the comments doing 25k per battle, that's awesome. Maybe one day.
Well, good to know this questathon doesn't stand a chance... I won't stress about doing all everyday.

Need to fight it just shy of 8,500 times to get 5 million damage. Gonna pass on that one. Even if I wasn't mid-semester right now that's way too much mindless clicking for my tastes. I feel like no matter how long I battle and train for I'll never be able to properly participate in any of these events, just because training is so slow, boosters/weapons so expensive, and real life is always so in the way (one of the downsides of not being in America is "a good time for an event" there is usually a rubbish time here). Ah well, if I can't even afford high-end Millionaire Centre stuff or spare any cash for CSC then the core is way out of my league anyway.
This isn't a bag on Subeta by the way, I'm just frustrated because I have so little free time in general at the moment, don't mind me :p. I've never seen a Gelatin War before so hopefully the little guys will be more my speed!

Thanks God we are not behind the schedule with the Q-a-T, I have plenty of time to do both and don't need at least 1000 battles to get the Core worried laugh
This is my first gelatin war (somehow never was around for the others), so i'm still excited and i'll try to get as many battles done as possible. But there's also the quest-a-thon.... :D
I'd need ~12.000 battles for 5 mio damage soooo... D: not sure I can make it, i'm not even able to get online every day...
