Mysterious Melody Prizes where art thou
Instead of waiting an entire year to get the new items we had prepared for Mysterious Melody, we are going to release them a different way. :eyes: I still have a bit more testing to do but I plan to get these items out by Wednesday!
The news post for this release later this week will have each of the items listed in the news post for you too! There are a lot of fun items for you to enjoy. <3

User not found: pointycatears agreed, but... still... they shouldn't have promised MM would be up by these days if they knew the probabilities of it not happening were high.

The fact that MM is cancelled until next Luminaire is a bit disappointing, but do you really think they would be able to do it when Survival is coming up? Or any of the other events? Releasing these items in a different way is supposed to be a compromise, and hopefully MM will be ready by next December.

I always forget about the ice fields lol Moro items have gotten me to remember the carnival games exist so I'm looking forward to freezing in the snow.

@hannahharmin According to a news post from December, it said that a few NPCs were going to join in with MM, with the items implying that those NPCs were Vanya, Shanti, Liz, Jade, and Dungarde (or Jaxon and/or Ian on his behalf).

Does this have anything to do with decorating Dungarde's abode? That achievement was supposed to come back during Luminaire the past couple of years so we could finish it but didn't. I have a bunch of decorations in my vault for this purpose. The 
reminds of it.

I know, it isn't and that was a string of bad luck. Yet it's never wrong to play it safe.

@BoaConstrictor Moving the alert seriously broke all the things when I was messing with it back then! That’s why it is where it is. And usually, items we aren’t using yet (or aren’t going out in like 24 hours say if I add a holiday shop early) go r300 (aka staff items). Mysterious Melody was on track to go out on time but multiple things happened to knock it off (Keith getting COVID being one).
I’ve already replied to a few threads based on unreleased items. We have to have the items added for things, which is why they’re usually r300. Think plots and what not, a lot of those are added wait in advanced and then changed within 24 hours of going out. Mysterious Melody was just very unfortunate in all aspects! It was also too late to just switch them back to staff items, so I’m releasing them a different way.
(the other recent “unreleased items” to mess up collections etc were two Melody Advent items that didn’t go out because the days were messed up, totally an error on my part! Otherwise this isn't really a common issue.)

Best consolement: Just never again put yet unreleased items on site, let alone make them a prerequisite, which hinders triggering it, though already achieved, for an achievement - there is a topic about it, which doesn't seem to have gotten any attention by staff!

I assumed these were going to be RNG based for MM anyway. Besides, the Ice Fields are in need of some more prizes (there are some you can get without making it through). It's still better than being loot for difficult and limited challengers that can't go out through the Free Shop unless all the non-weapon loot items are tagged to be included, but I think that's up to the battle admins.
It would be nice if the fields had the "set an alert" option at the end rather than having to leave the page and come back, just a QOL thing, but I don't know how easy or hard that is to do.

I feel like many people are too aggressive with their anger towards people who are working very hard.

While I appreciate that, @MirukuKuroNaiKo, I don't really see it as people whining here. User not found: pointycatears wasn't wrong when they pointed out trust broken, especially recently with some choices I made. I'm happy to answer things or explain reasoning so people don't feel left in the dark or why something had to change. Tempers can run hot, for sure, and as long as no one is directly harassing another or being mean for the sake of being mean, I'll continue to respond.

Also, I suggest not making assumptions completely on how these items will go out via Ice Fields. Yes, the Ice Fields include some RNG aspects, and yes some of these items will be involved with that. But there are other things I'm doing to make you interact with the feature (including achievements!). The items were going to be via Mysterious Melody and not available immediately (like you would've had to work at them a bit) which is what I'm hoping to achieve with the Ice Fields. :)

I didn't specifically state how these items are involved with the ice fields (the item is the hint) just in case the original testing I'm finishing up doesn't completely work and I have to rework the idea with the fields a bit.
Even if I did for some reason change direction, I've learned from the previous incident to at least give y'all a heads up. This is a large set of items, so even if they were moved they wouldn't go to a shop purely because our original intention was you to interact with a feature to get them over time. :)

They were made "active" because we were close to releasing the feature but like the news post said, a lot of unfortunate things piled up.
I don't think any of my tone has been snotty, just joking with various users I've joked with before in news comments before. This post was specifically to keep people updated, especially since I posted earlier this week on the forums I'd be working on getting these items out by the weekend, but a health incident has pushed me back more than I would've liked.

So let me get this straight: These items were supposed to release 2 months ago in the game that is still broken, and even though Keith said we were getting it this month, we're not. And they're releasing via Ice Fields instead, which is an RNG with anywhere from a 1.5hr to a 3hr cooldown. And when visibly-paying players are less than pleased about the lack of information and the attempt at a cutesy tone after us being repeatedly shafted by the Staff for the past 6 months, they get a snotty unprofessional tone in response.

You can forgive us for having little trust after the sloth beanbag incident. At least with rarity 160, these will be able to go out through the Free Shop if we can't obtain them easily in whatever way they're coming out soon.

Pretty sure battle drops are challenger loot, or something like that. So if they're game prizes, I wouldn't worry about having to battle to get them.
