Oh god I am in LOVE with this revamp, excellent job to the artists once again, this is seriously amazing D;, it actually looks like the pet it's suppose to represent now, I hated that cartoony look, great job toning down the cuteness, it's still adorable but looks like a more serious choice for a pet now. Most people have already pointed out the issue with the middle gem on the shell, tis my only complaint, otherwise I'm probably going to get one once it comes out ^^

I don't really like the revamp. The current one is cuter, and looks more sort of babyish, and I prefer it. There's nothing perticularly about this which makes me want this one.<br />

Absolutely lovely! The only thing I do not love about it is, again, the eye color has been changed, and as I have said before in numerous revamp threads...some people do choose a pet based on existing colors, even for Common. But that is a small detail and the rest of it is utterly fantastic!

I never was crazy about the turdles but the chelon I'm seriously considering getting one. I may or may not but I am considering it and I definately really like it. I didn't like the shell at first but it grew on me fast. Great job to whomever did the revamp.

I'm really impressed with this new Chelon. It looks much more realistic and in keeping with the newer pets and revamps, and we can actually tell that there are gems on his(?) back. I also absolutely love the expression on his face, he's so cute and not just in a chibi-blob sort of way like the old one. Kudos to the artist.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow! Now this is an amazing revamp! I'm really glad to see some of the extreme cuteness being removed, although i have a bad feeling that may change before the final release.. Um...that's how artists get better, is by getting feedback from others (usually other artists, but not necessarily so). No matter how perfect you think an artist already is, there's always room for improvement and growth. Without critique, artists stagnate. Telling us to stop commenting is not only rude, but a bad, BAD idea. <br />

Just because someone may not exactly like how a certain drawing looks, that does NOT by default mean that that person doesn't like the artist, or doesn't think the artist has talent, or thinks that the artist didn't work hard on it. <br />

In short, we're all trying to help her out here, not tear her down. (I assume. And I'm sorry for assuming =p) And by the way, I voted for the revamp before I left any comments. Is it really so bad to take the time to explain why I voted the way I did, rather than just click a button and be done with it? Think about it.

Yeah, I'm with StrixMoonwing. Guys, these artists work really hard on these things. Constructive criticism is great and all, but either vote for the revamp or don't. Don't leave critical comments to the post. =) They're unlikely to be heeded anyway.

Nice over all. The only suggestions I can give is to fix the shell, since with the way it is positioned in comparison to the head. It makes it look sort of detached.... and the head looks pretty big for the rest of it... Besides that, I like how the gems are sunken in. Good job all around.

I'm not that fond of this revamp, the art just does nothing for me. I think it's the addition of the darker scales on the flippers and head and the fact that the eyes seem smaller in proportion to the head, taking away much of the innocence of the current design.

This is the first revamp where I can't even find anything to nitpick about. Usually when I see a revamp in the news and see the new art, I find myself thinking, "It's nice, but..." Not this time! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> I love the details on the flippers, head, and shell. I like the smaller eyes, they're the perfect size to me. Maybe a little beak-nose wouldn't hurt, but I also wouldn't mind the face as is. Don't know at the moment which artist did this, but they did an outstanding job!

The Turdle really needed a graphical update, but I'm not sure if I like this design or not. Then again, the more I look at it now the more I like it. I think perhaps it's just the way the gems are placed on the shell that bother me. Silly complaint yes? It certainly has much more detail than the current Turdle and fits in more with the other pets. I really like how this one looks like a Sea Turtle (and nice choice on the name! Especially since it goes back to the ancient turtle ancestors.). The only complaint I have is the back right flipper and the front left flipper. Those look a bit off, if you ask me.<br />

As for if I like the Revamp or the Original, I'd have to say the Revamped one looks better. Heck, I have a revamped Ontra (hugs her Demyx), and I like how they came out, so I'm gonna love this one... If I could get a couple more pet slots, this would be one of the two I'd pick. Great job all around, guys!

I think it looks MUCH better. My only suggestions would be a better head to shell size ratio, its not chibi so the shell looks too small to me compared to the head size. Other than that, I agree with others about the middle gem seeming to push into the shell too much.<br />

Larger gems definately. And the name doesn't seem terribly... fantasmic, but that's not as important. The art is great and I think it will really work out. Can't wait to see a dawn version- pink and orange will look stuning on the new Chelons.

I rather like this revamp, it gives the Chelon much more personality. I do, however, have a similar complaint to many, and that is in line with the jewels. They could probably stand to be a bit bigger, and the jewel in the middle looks as if it's causing the shell to cave in. ^^;<br />

To be a sea type turtle, it's shell needs to be a tad flatter. It almost looks like a tortoise shell. Maybe we could have a turtle species and a tortoise species? Otherwise, I like the face and gems in the shell!

another thing that came too mind after reading other comments. i dont think it should be so elaborate in the details with the colour. Not everyone can appreciate that. You should move towards more of a cartoony effect.<br />

The biggest thing that bothers me is how the shell is almost vertical, but its face is still facing the viewer almost head-on, making the connection between the head and neck look VERY unnatural. Also, that dark line of shading that acts as a continuous line between the top of the head and the jawline is unnecessary, in my opinion. There are more natural shading methods to distinguish head from neck.<br />

I also agree that the shell plates are a tad bit too heavily shaded, as are the dark blue spots on the legs and head. It makes them all look too... bubbly?<br />

I love this. To me it finally looks more like a real turtle type pet rather than a comic one. I like the way the details just pop out at you. However I do agree that the gems look a bit too 'deep' and the shadows would look better a little lighter. It's almost as if it's under a harsh spotlight.

As a minor suggestion you could always put a border around the plates of the shell (like a regular turtle, they are just scales on regular skin after all) to get rid of that 'sunken in' look that people are talking about. Just a suggestion though. :O Now I'm off to eat so I'll stop being badgery.

I can't say it isn't a huge leap in the right direction, but something about the revamp just looks... off, somehow. Maybe it's the shell - I think the perspective on it looks less oblique than the rest of the body - not to mention the severity of the shading makes it look like it'd be incredibly lumpy, whereas a sea turtle's ought to be more streamlined.

I prefer the older image opposed to the new one. The pattern on the shell on the new one doesn't seem very appealing to me. I like the gems, but the crevices seem too deep and I prefer the soccerball-like pattern rather than the new one. I also am not a fan of the things around the shell. I don't know why, but it just doesn't look too nice to me. :/ I do like the face on the new one, however. I think it fits with the newer style that Subeta seems to be making. My last problem with the pet is that it looks very old. Perhaps that was the intent, but I like a younger looking pet, but I guess that's what the Chibi potion is for. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Oh, one other small thing. The jaw on the face looks a little um...wonky? It's just out of proportion. The left and right cheek don't match up properly, and if the face were turned or centered, the jaw wouldn't align right. Might just be me noticing that, though. Besides that, it looks very nice.

The revamp is still wonderful, and I love addition of the scales and the extra plates of the shell around the outside of it. It reminds my of my water turtle somewhat. =)
