Something is different here... Oh! Right, welcome to the new Subeta! We have worked very hard over the past few months to create a new layout that is easier for everyone to browse.
Here are some of the biggest changes that we've made with the new layout:
- The layout is now fluid in width, which means that it will resize itself depending on the size of your browser window. This lets us make things around the site fit the entire screen, and not feel so cramped.
- Widgets! These are the boxes on the left side of your screen. You can change the ones that are shown here. There are some really cool ones like showing your friend feed, the amount of quests you've done for the day, and more! They can also be dragged and moved around the sidebar, or hidden.
- Dashboard / Events: The dashboard is where the widgets live, and the events pane is where your events will live! You can change your preferences here, to how you would like the dashboard to act. We suggest setting it to smart so that you are notified when you have new events!
- Dropdowns, which means that we don't have to use up the entire sidebar for the navigation. We've reorginized the links to make a little more sense, and allow you to move around the site easier.
You may have noticed that your CustomCSS and your Pet Profiles have been cleared. They generally aren't compatible with the new layout, but we did save your coding and you can find it here! Feel free to copy it and paste it back into your CustomCSS/Pet Profiles, just be warned that everything might not work the same!
You can leave your feedback for the new layout here. We will be making changes to the new layout as we see problems (or things that should be changed).

I came on and the second I say it I yelled 'What Happened to SUBETA!' my mom was like 'It's gone' kidding with me, 'No, the layout just changed.' I just help the layout change on Subeta doesn't go like the one on Neopets and people leave because of it. It will just take time to test out.

LOL. It's not remotely like Neopets. When we log on one morning to find the page plastered with adverts and every one of our pets looking like shit with no warning THEN it'll be like Neopets.

Well, certainly not easier than the old layout, but we'll get used to it. It still looks great and your work paid off. Thank you for the new layout!
- The new layout is pretty. Ok gorgeous. BUT...
- The pages are way too big. And by big, I mean the margins. If this layout were a book, it would be the big text version for people with bad eyes. You've made the non-interactive parts of the layout HUGE, while the parts that require user interaction are SMALL. Kind of... doesn't work.
- Please include a customizable links option in the dashboard in order for us to put links like explore, shop search, forums, etc. The drop down menus are a nice organizer, but they are NOT easy to use in day to day operation.
- While the pages are too big, the text is getting squished into itself. But I think lots of other people have mentioned this by now and I'm sure that's already being worked on.

"Easier?" This layout is anything but. Our previous layout was the easier one. Everything was there, in the open and you didn't need to fiddle with silly drop down menus to get to where you were going. This is why I quit neopets! DX
I guess I should've stated my objections to this layout during the testing phase but would that have really stopped you? No. Asking for the GA's opinions, like voting, isn't all that essential to the process. You guys made this layout, tested it and despite objections, were going to make this happen whether we liked it or not.

IM really going to be taking time getting use to this... just the whole thing in general doesnt cut it for me. The other layout in my opinion was a lot better...ehhh oh well

I also have a large monitor and I do not like how everything is stretched.
My biggest issue, though, is that I really hate having to use a drop down menu to get to places I view a lot, like my inventory. Is there a way for me to put that in the sidebar or is that just a non option now?

I despise the way it adjusts to your monitor. I think there should be a way to have it set to a size. I have a big monitor and everything looks too wide.

Sigh. And I was hoping this thing wouldn't be forced on us so soon, because it hasn't been refined enough to the point where it's actually user-friendly. The sidebar is so useless now. Making a widget for quests was a step in the right direction but it's not enough.
On the positive side I am glad that the forums aren't super-stretched like they were in the test version. That's about the only thing I like about this layout.

A bit of a shock at first, especially with losing the pet profiles. Putting them back in was a bit annoying...
Adding only a few pictures back into them even shoves the friends down further out of the frame. Hoping that this is addressed quickly, as my pets are the reason I'm here. ):

Some warning about getting rid of all the coding would have been nice. I don't have the codes for my pet profiles saved anywhere. No I have to write it all from scratch.
Nice layout, but thanks A LOT for screwing my pet profiles all to hell. I have no idea how long it's going to take to fix all twenty of my pets. If I CAN.

I absolutely adore it. Looks so much more professional now and I love the layouts we get to choose from so far. Masquerade is my favorite, but I'm using the graveyard for Halloween time. Seriously you guys are stepping up your game with both site events and the way you run things. It looks fabulous! It looks beautiful and very gorgeous with the colors, but I too liked the old layout better.. I think because this one is organized different and its just strange to me.. I forgot about the testing this before because I stopped because I didn't like it LOL XD Guess I'll be getting used to it quick in a hurry.. the new features are neat though so hopefully that will make it worth it.

Nice job! My first impression is good so far! I was getting tired of just using the Dark Matter layout. Hopefully when things settle and you guys find more time, perhaps different themes!

Looking good at first glance, will just take some time getting used to. Not so sure about the dropdown menus top right yet in place of the convenient old left-hand-side list. Dropdowns can be iffy.

While the widescreen can be mildly annoying with fourms or comments, I LOVE the new look. Everything is so much more organized and streamlined.

Like the layout, Im a little pissed that I have to go and get all my custom made profiles tweaked again,.. and thats IF my artists are free to do them.... Grrrrr....
